Genesis 38:7 (King James Version)

And Er, Judah's firstborn, was wicked in the sight of the LORD; and the LORD slew him.

Genesis 38:7 (Amplified Bible)

And Er, Judah’s firstborn, was wicked in the sight of the Lord, and the Lord slew him.

A. Judah's firstborn was Er, wicked in GOD's sight

"And Er, Judah’s firstborn, was wicked in the sight of the Lord,"

Genesis 46:12 (Amplified Bible)

The sons of Judah: Er, Onan, Shelah, Perez, and Zerah; but Er and Onan died in the land of Canaan. And the sons of Perez were Hezron and Hamul.

Genesis 13:13 (Amplified Bible)

But the men of Sodom were wicked and exceedingly great sinners against the Lord.

As we are comparing the bible is silent why and what's the wickedness of Er, and we saw his wickedness can be compared with the wickedness of Sodom and Gomorrah, that's why the LORD did not hesitate to slew, kill or destroy them.

Also it can be compared with the men in Noah's time.

Genesis 6:5 (Amplified Bible)

The Lord saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination and intention of all human thinking was only evil continually.

Genesis 19:19 (Amplified Bible)

Behold now, your servant has found favor in your sight, and you have magnified your kindness and mercy to me in saving my life; but I cannot escape to the mountains, lest the evil overtake me, and I die.

Both Noah and Lot found grace in GOD's sight, that's why they are not destroyed with the wicked.

Genesis 6:7-8 (Amplified Bible)

So the Lord said, I will destroy, blot out, and wipe away mankind, whom I have created from the face of the ground—not only man, [but] the beasts and the creeping things and the birds of the air—for it grieves Me and makes Me regretful that I have made them.

But Noah found grace (favor) in the eyes of the Lord.

And we can see Er's sins compared to a depraved man, and it's coming out again in these last days. People who marries with the same sex and it's now allowed. The reason why this earth will be destroyed by fire.

Romans 1:24-28 (Amplified Bible)

Therefore God gave them up in the lusts of their [own] hearts to sexual impurity, to the dishonoring of their bodies among themselves [abandoning them to the degrading power of sin],

Because they exchanged the truth of God for a lie and worshiped and served the creature rather than the Creator, Who is blessed forever! Amen (so be it).

For this reason God gave them over and abandoned them to vile affections and degrading passions. For their women exchanged their natural function for an unnatural and abnormal one,
