The Open Door Of Assurance

THE OPEN DOOR OF ASSURANCE…

TEXT: Revelation 3:8 I know thy works: behold, I have set before thee an open door, and no man can shut it: for thou hast a little strength, and hast kept my word, and hast not denied my name.

WE HAVE A GREAT ASSURANCE OF AN OPEN DOOR INTO THE HOLY OF HOLIES…

Revelation 22:17 And the Spirit and the bride say, Come. And let him that heareth say, Come. And let him that is athirst come. And whosoever will, let him take the water of life freely.

WE ARE STANDING ON HOLY GROUND! BUT ONLY THOSE THAT RECOGNIZE THE HOLY GROUND WILL TAKE THEIR SHOES OFF.

Hebrews 10:22 Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and our bodies washed with pure water.

TODAY WE SEE BIG MISTAKES IN SOCIETY AND THE CHURCH… THE WORLD IS ACTING JUST LIKE PHARAOH DID IN EGYPT… THE EGYPTIANS HAD A GREAT FEAR OF THE PLAGUES, BUT THEY HAD NO FEAR WHATSOEVER OF GOD…

WE ARE CONSTANTLY SEARCHING FOR ASSURANCE/REASSURANCE…

Real assurance helps us overcome our fears and our emotional battles. Life is mean and crushing at times so often we become insecure and worried. Fast on the heels of these issues we become depressed and have the feeling of being undervalued. The lack of assurance will bring FREQUENT CONFLICT, the SILENT TREATMENT, DISTANCE ---WITHDRAWAL and the FEELING OF EMPTINESS.

ASSURANCE: a positive declaration intended to give confidence, a commitment, grounds for hope, pledge and guarantee. Assurance is known as the WITNESS OF THE HOLY SPIRIT.

WE NEED SPIRITUAL, INTERNAL ASSURANCE…

We need assurance to improve our trust and bring about comfort by reducing the risk. God is reliable… It is ok to seek support and assurance from God… We walk in perilous times where self-doubt tries to drown us. Insecurity abounds and at times life seems overwhelming.

REAL MENIAL DAILY LIFE LEAVES US FEELING VULNERABLE. DAILY LIFE IS FULL OF FEAR, INADEQUACY, SPIRITUAL AND PHYSICAL JUDGMENTALISM AND CRITICISM.

Let us consider the difference between abuse and neglect.

CRY? CRY? CRY? ZIGLAG… THERE IS A LESSON AT ZIGLAG… DAVID WAS GREATLY DISTRESSED… THE THIRD DAY!

David had lost everything… There had been many great victories… But when David and his men returned to Ziglag

behold the city was burned and all that remained was the smoke. All their wives, sons and daughters were gone.

1 Samuel 30:4 Then David and the people that were with him lifted up their voice and wept, until they had no more power to weep.

1 Samuel 30:6 And David was greatly distressed; for the people spake of stoning him, because the soul of all the people was grieved, every man for his sons and for his daughters: but David encouraged himself in the LORD his God.

WE HAVE ASSURANCE OF AN OPEN DOOR TO THE THRONE ROOM OF GOD… WE HAVE ASSURANCE THAT WE CAN COME TO JESUS…

Matthew 11:28 Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. 29 Take my yoke upon 30 For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.

WE HAVE A GREAT ASSURANCE THAT WE CAN FIND THAT SECRET, SWEET SPOT TO BE WITH JESUS. WE NEED TO COME APART OR WE WILL COME A PART.

Mark 6:31 And he said unto them, Come ye yourselves apart into a desert place, and rest a while: for there were many coming and going, and they had no leisure so much as to eat.

LIFE IS A MIRROR… HUMANS NEED SUPPORT! WE NEED THE REFLECTION OF BEING POSITIVE. WE NEED THE FEELING OF ASSURANCE OR REASSURANCE OFTEN.

We have ASSURANCE OF OUR SALVATION, THE DOOR IS OPEN…

Jude 1:24 Now unto him that is able to keep you from falling, and to present you faultless before the presence of his glory with exceeding joy,

ASSURANCE OF ETERNAL LIFE, THE DOOR IS OPEN.

1 John 5:13 These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God.

ASSURANCE OF ANSWERED PRAYERS, THE DOOR IS OPEN.

1 John 5:14 And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us: 15 And if we know that he hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of him.

Jeremiah 29:12 Then shall ye call upon me, and ye shall go and pray unto me, and I will hearken unto you. 13 And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart.
