Text: Hebrews 9:16-22 (King James Version)

"For where a testament is, there must also of necessity be the death of the testator. (v. 17) For a testament is of force after men are dead: otherwise it is of no strength at all while the testator liveth. (v. 18) Whereupon neither the first testament was dedicated without blood. (v. 19) For when Moses had spoken every precept to all the people according to the Law, he took the blood of calves and of goats, with water, and scarlet wool, and hyssop. and sprinkled both the book, and all the people, (v. 20) Saying, ’This is the blood of the testament which God hath enjoined unto you.’ (v. 21) Moreover he sprinkled with blood both the Tabernacle, and all the vessels of the ministry. (v. 22) And almost all things are by the Law purged with blood; and without shedding of blood is no remission."

Topic: The Precious Blood!

If Christian true believers, today, would come to an understanding of how precious and powerful the Blood of Jesus, the Christ, is in their Christian walk, they would be well on their way to becoming overcomers! In Revelation 12:11 (KJV), we read: "And they overcame him [Satan] by the Blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death."

So we see, that the precious Blood of the Lord Jesus Christ not only serves as an atonement; but, it also totally devastates the demomic realm! At the mention of the Blood of Jesus, the Christ, demons literally tremble with fear! The powers of darkness can never stand against the Blood of Jesus, the Christ! Our ancestors understood that for they pleaded the Blood of Jesus, the Christ, over everything! Like everything else in a Christian’s life, faith is an active ingredient in claiming the atoning Blood of Jesus, the Christ, for Salvation; and, in using the Blood of Jesus, the Christ, as a weapon of Deliverance! The Apostle Paul tells the Romans and us, in Romans 10:17 (KJV): "So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God."

The Blood of Jesus, the Christ, is precious to us because it is precious to Almighty God! Very early one, Almighty God showed mankind - both male and female - the importance of blood to Him! In the "Book of Beginnings" - in Genesis 3:21 (NLT) - we are told: "And the Lord God made clothing from animal skins for Adam and his wife." In order to obtain the animal skins, blood had to be shed! Adam and Eve, after realizing that they were naked, covered themselves with "fig leaves" - however, "fig leaves" would never do; only blood could provide a covering for us! The word "atonement" literally means "covering!" Almighty God had already made Plans to save mankind - both male and female - through the shedding of the precious Blood of His only begotten Son - Jesus, the Christ! Only His shed Blood can provide a covering for our sins!

In the fourth Chapter of Genesis, Almighty God accepted Abel’s sacrifice of a lamb - He rejected Cain’s sacrifice of fruits and vegeatables! Almighty God was saying, even then, that a sacrifice through blood was the only sacrifice that acceptable unto Him! Cain had not understood - as many Christians today misunderstand - the importance of the blood! No doubt, Cain had worked hard to gather his sacrifice; however, no matter how
