Intro: At Christmas, we should re-visit and remember
the following aspects of the first Christmas from Luke chapter 2

I. The SHEPHERDS (V.8)
Angels announcement to the "common man"
in fact, the "lower than common" in that
society.

II. The SIGN (V.9-12)
"lying in a manger"= willingness to identify
with the common man

III.The SINGING (V. 13-14)

GLORY TO GOD for His unspeakable Gift
God has become man to save mankind from sin!

IV. The SEEKING (V.15-16)

"let us go SEE FOR OURSELVES"
*WE ALL MUST COME TO JESUS PERSONALLY*
Don’t just "take someone else’s word for it"
...see for yourself!

V. The SHARING (V.17-18)

Once they had seen him they SPREAD THE
WORD.
*We are called to spread the message
JESUS IS THE REASON FOR THE SEASON
IT IS INDEED CHRIST-mas.

It’s more than a holiday, it’s a HOLY DAY
the Earthly Birthday of our Lord and Savior
Messiah, and soon coming King!

May we never forget the REAL MEANING OF CHRISTMAS!
