To Prosper or not to Prosper (part2)
peace, joy, etc.
Last Sunday, we learned that God is the one who supplies seed to the sower
The second part of the verse is: will also supply and increase your store of seed and will enlarge the harvest of your righteousness.
Read between the line church: as we plant our seed He will increase your store of seed and will enlarge the harvest of your righteousness.
2 Corinthians 8 and 9 is about money and giving as I mention earlier.
Treat your money as seed not just an object to buy you something.
The money in your hand is a powerful seed and you when you planted it will return a harvest.
As you plant God will increase your seed!
Do not go to the temple of God empty handed.
Deut 16:16
When they got to the Temple they would present gifts for the poor and the stranger and the homeless and the Levites. They would bring fruit and grain and wine and meat because they were not allowed to "appear before the Lord empty-handed"
Even your 5 pesos or 10 pesos will become a powerful seed if you plant it in the work of God.
The seed is very powerful even if you just drop it to the ground it grows!
Starting today treat your money as “MY PROSPERITY SEED”
Say this with me: "Money is flowing effortlessly into my life from all directions”
There is a divine principle when it comes to biblical prosperity.
That is “GIVING”
Your money follows your heart.
"For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also."
–Matthew 6:21
Giving shifts your focus from internal to external ... to eternal.
Giving is a heart issue
To understand what your heart values most, consider how you spend your money.
Generosity has the amazing power to unshackle you from materialism and fill your heart with contentment.
Rick Warren
“I would tell you from own personal experience I have grown more in my faith, I have grown closer to Jesus Christ, and my heart has been changed more by learning to give by faith than any other discipline in my life”
Conclusion:
Let me leave you with this verse:
Proverbs 11:24 (New International Version)
One man gives freely, yet gains even more; another withholds unduly, but comes to poverty.
Kawikaan 11:24
Ang taong mapagbigay ay lalong yumayaman , ngunit naghihirap ang tikom na mga kamay.
2 Corinthians 8:7, 13-14 (New International )
" ... But just as you excel in everything—in faith, in speech, in knowledge, in complete earnestness and in your love for us—see that you also excel in this grace of giving ... "
