Summary: God’s Favor is everywhere! Gods favor knows no boundaries, has no inhibitions, doesn’t look for qualifications, is not based on getting in return, only for opportunities to show itself!

Psalm 30:4,5 NKJ

Sing praise to the Lord, you saints of His,

And give thanks at the remembrance of His holy name.

For His anger is but for a moment,

His favor is for life;

Weeping may endure for a night,

But joy comes in the morning.

One definition of the word favor by Webster is: special privileges or rights granted.

You are, because of your genealogy are in an elite group of people. Some might say do you know who my family is?

Well if your a Christian, yes I do, Because I’m part of your family. Far to often we have the tendency to forget who we truly are and the value that has been placed on who we are.

Circumstances steal are attention away from the plans God has for us, as well as the supernatural abilities God has equipped us with.

David realized and wrote in psalms 23:6 “surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life!”

But you need to stop and realize not only David, but everyone grafted into Gods family through their Salvation experience, or as a direct descendant of Abraham has been blessed with the same covenant ability to receive the Favor of God.

What a person decides to do with the Favor God gives to them, like everything else in life is a choice!

Man’s favor, gives you an advantage for success in the natural. And we go through life, constantly on the lookout for mans favor and mans approval. For someone who will give us a break, or an opportunity to advance and get ahead!

God’s Favor, gives you an advantage in the natural and the supernatural! God’s Favor is everywhere! Gods favor knows no boundaries, has no inhibitions, doesn’t look for qualifications, is not based on getting in return, only for opportunities to show itself!

How does someone get Gods Favor show up in their life? By creating a Favor garden and cultivating it!

Before David realized God’s goodness, mercies and willingness to follow him all the days of his life. The first thing David did was to proclaim who God was in his life and what God was willing to do in his life.

Psalms 23:1-5 NKJ these first 5 verses each one of them are proclamations of the goodness of God! It’s no wonder why The 23rd Psalm is the favorite of so many Christians!

Vs 1. The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.

(David made the proclamation, he was going to look to God for every need, trust and have faith God would provide. Faith releases God’s Favor in a persons life in all areas!

The Bible says I’ve never seen the righteous for sake in or his seed begging for bread!)

Vs 2. He makes me to lie down in green pastures;

He leads me beside the still waters.

( doesn’t say here that, David is toiling or looking intently for green pastures and still waters. Scripture says God simply provides for him blessings! So many times we think we have to toil or labor for things. Toil equals self effort, trust equates to the realization of Gods Favor and supernatural ability to effortlessly bless our every situation!)

Vs 3. He restores my soul;

He leads me in the paths of righteousness

For His name’s sake.

( there will be times we will take the wheel of the car of life and drive the car into the ditch! David did this more than once, we all have! But with each time came repentance and with repentance comes forgiveness and with forgiveness comes restoration!

Not because of our righteousness, but because of Gods righteousness He continually offers, covers and protects us with, because He has given us His Word. And Gods Word never returns void, Gods Word always accomplishes its objective!)

Vs 4. Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil;

For You are with me;

Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me.

(As long as God is in charge, that’s all we need to know!

Romans 8:38,39 NKJ says,

38 For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, 39 nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

David realized this and found comfort in the fact that no matter what happened he didn’t have to fear because God was in charge, God was with him, God was taking care of every situation!)

You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies;

You anoint my head with oil;

My cup runs over.

(David realized even when we can’t see what God is doing in the supernatural, we can take comfort in knowing God is doing all that He can do for our situation! Continually working all things for our advantage with one thing in mind. Our well being!
