When he was 88, the Supreme Court Justice Oliver Wendell Holmes found himself on a train. The conductor called for tickets, but Justice Holmes couldn’t find his and seemed terribly upset. He searched his pockets and fumbled through his wallet without success. The conductor was sympathetic. “Don’t worry, Mr. Holmes,” he said. “The Pennsylvania Railroad will be happy to trust you. When you reach your destination you’ll probably find the tickets and you can mail it to us.” The conductor’s kindness did not put Holmes at ease. He said, “My dear man, my problem is not ‘Where is my ticket?’ It is ‘Where am I going?’

Habakkuk 2

1 I will stand upon my watch, and set me upon the tower, and will watch to see what he will say unto me, and what I shall answer when I am reproved.

2 And the LORD answered me, and said, Write the vision, and make it plain upon tables, that he may run that read it.

3 For the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end it shall speak, and not lie: though it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry.

Proverbs 29

18 Where there is no vision, the people perish: but he that keepeth the law, happy is he.

Vision- a conscious, mental and spiritual picture of a possibility of what we can become; why we need to take this journey and how we are to attain the idea and concept.

John the Revelator and Daniel both had a vision from God.

Paul on the road to Damascus received a vision that changed his path.

Deutormony 6:4-9

A vision can only develop from a God given burden.

When God gives us a burden something inside us begins to change. It consumes our thoughts, every move we make we dwell on the burden.

We need some folks that would get a desire to see soul’s saved around these alters. Some that would get a burden for those precious old folks at the nursing home. Or jail, hungry, aids.

II Kings 5, Naaman the captain of the host of Syria, an honorable man and a man of valour, became a leper. God said go to the river of Jordan.

Mark 2 a women who had an issue of blood for 12 years; found herself in the mist of the healer. To weak to press through she reached and touched the hem of His garment.

Earlier in the chapter a man sick of palsy was waiting on Jesus when he entered Capernaum. The overwhelming crowds hindered him from reaching the master. He had a passion to be healed and said I’m not leaving until I get my miracle and they tore the roof open and Jesus turned and saw this man and his passion to be healed and said thy sins are forgiven, be made whole; Arise and take up thy bed and walk.

Mark 8:24 Jesus came to Bethsaida and they brought a blind man to Him. Jesus took the blind man by the hand and led him out of town. He then spit on his eyes and put his hands on him. Jesus asked “What do you see?” The blind man said “I see men as trees, walking.” Jesus put His hands on him again and made him look up and he could see clearly.

Horses need blinders to keep them from being distracted by obstacles around them.
