Summary: Our ambition should be to serve the King of Kings, or put another way. We should aim to make Jesus famous not ourselves.

Walk Humbly before God!

. John 7:18 Those who present their own ideas are looking for praise for themselves, but those who seek to honor the one who sent them are good and genuine.

Micah 6:8 He hath shewed thee, O man, what is good; and what doth the LORD require of thee, but to do justly, and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with thy God?

Our ambition should be to serve the King of Kings, or put another way. We should aim to make Jesus famous not ourselves.

True humility is not a denial of our potential more a recognition of Gods ability and authority in us to accomplish His purpose through us!

This is true worship!

Luke 14:11 For whosoever exalteth himself shall be abased; and he that humbleth himself shall be exalted.

Pride exalts our natural ability

Strengths

Knowledge

Accomplishments

Capabilities

When pride takes root calamity will result. Because

Proverbs 16:18 Pride goeth before destruction, and an haughty spirit before a fall.

Glory is one of the Lords unique attributes and He has reserved this for Himself

Isaiah 48:11 For mine own sake, even for mine own sake, will I do it: for how should my name be polluted? and I will not give my glory unto another.

Satan as Lucifer fell because he wanted the glory that only be Gods!

Paul said Galatians 6:14 But God forbid that I should glory, save in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom the world is crucified unto me, and I unto the world.

More importantly our greatest example is Jesus himself.

Hebrews 4:15 For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin.

When satan tempted Jesus with authority over the Kingdoms of the world Jesus replied “Worship the Lord your God and serve Him only”

He (Jesus) had the right to all the Kingdoms of the world He deserves our praise and He deserves to be crowed King of Kings! But not before the glorious and victorious resurrection, His time hadn’t yet come.

He was and is the only person who ever deserved praise. But He never allowed pride or flattery to abide in His presence.

Conclusion:

Go and make Jesus famous. Preach the gospel of Jesus, tell how Jesus heals and delivers

Pray that the Lord would give you gifts to make Jesus famous

Seek ask and knock to further the kingdom of Jesus.

Checklist:

When we speak do we?

Speak of his acts or ours?

Seek His kingdom or ours

Honour His life or ours (Dead men don’t have rights)

Jesus is Lord and He alone is worthy of praise honor and glory.
