WHAT ABOUT THE CHILDREN?

Australia has been a colony, protectorate, and to be honest a dumping ground for the United Kingdom for many centuries. The UK used the Land Down Under for her resources, her vast areas of land, and as a permanent orphanage for unwanted children who roamed the streets of London that were accused by the upper classes of stirring up trouble.

It’s true. For almost 200 years, abandoned children were not only sold off through auctions for menial things such as asking for a second bowl of soup, as made famous through the ever popular Charles Dickens tale of Oliver Twist. But they were also sold a bill of goods describing a land of milk and honey in Australia in which wealth was so abundant that children rode kangaroos to school in the morning. To a child living in a world without hope, their tiny eyes must have been filled with awe upon hearing about such wonders. And to a society not wanting to handle the responsibility of fatherless, motherless, and in effect loveless children, it was convenient.

Upon arrival, the children’s blessed hopes were dashed. There were no kangaroo rides. Instead, these children arrived to a life of endless farm work, indentured servitude, and physical and sexual abuse. Though every legal juxtaposition indicates that the civil authorities were operating for the “children’s best interests,” the truth is that the heavy welfare burden of taking care of forgotten children was eliminated.

The Bible says in Luke 18:15-17, “People were also bringing babies to Jesus to have him touch them. When the disciples saw this, they rebuked them. But Jesus called the children to him and said, ‘Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of the world belongs to such as these. I tell you the truth, anyone who will not receive the kingdom of God like a little child will not enter it.” I love that verse, don’t you? The scriptures say a lot about children. And how ashamed England & Australia mUST feel for how they treated the least of these. It is good news to hear the Prime Ministers of these nations issuing long awaited apologies.

Sadly, we are one of the modern nations that can be accused of leading children away. Though we are not shipping them away to some faraway remote island, we are eliminating those who are inconvenient to our society through the legal process of abortion. How can we as a nation say we are letting the little children come to the Lord when we don’t even let them breathe?

We use laws, our courts, our lawmakers, our lack of conscience to whisk a way the lives of millions. Compared to the 1.5 Million soldiers’ deaths in war since 1776, the 43 million deaths caused by abortion since 1973 is more than a travesty, it’s a plague. If that many people died of swine flu, would our nation fail to act? No way! Everyone who is in favor of abortion has already been born, and for those that argue it’s the right of the woman to choose fail to acknowledge that it is most assuredly NOT the will of those women who have yet to be born. Whenever we justify sin, especially sin that results in the departure of a soul, there can be no good excuse.

Friends, search your hearts. God is the giver of life and the taking of life doth not belong to Him but instead His chief adversary, Satan. Christ came to GIVE life, as Satan desires to kill, to steal, and to destroy. Please seek the guidance of the scriptures, refute those who desire ill will unto the womb, and work towards reclaiming our children, so we may offer them to the Lord.

WHY A BABY?

I received an email recently that asked some pretty interesting questions. Questions such as, can you cry under water? Why does a round pizza come in a square box? How is it that we put a man on the moon before we figured out how to put wheels on luggage? Why do people say they slept like a baby when babies tend to wake up every two or three hours? Why do people pay to go to the top of tall buildings just to pay again to look at things on the ground? Here is a great one that I have wondered for ages. Why do toasters always have a setting that will burn your toast to a horrible crisp that no human being could ever possibly eat?

After laughing hysterically for moments, I continued to read on. Why does a dog get mad if you blow in his face then stick his head outside the window of a moving car? Why do we press harder on a remote control when it doesn’t work? Why do you push the elevator button multiple times when we are in a hurry, does it make the elevator arrive quicker? Here’s one for you bankers. Why does a bank charge a fee for insufficient funds when there isn’t any money to cover it? Here’s another. Does the Alphabet Song and Twinkle Twinkle Little Star have the same lyrics? And why did you just stop to sing both songs to see if they indeed did? And I personally have one for you that is more mind blowing than any other question ever authored in the history of mankind.
