Summary: Go back in time with me for a minute, the day you were Born-Again into the Family of God you received spiritual authority. On that day, you were made new a creation in Jesus Christ; Moreover, you inherited the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ.

What Does Authority Look Like?

Luke 10:16-20NASB

In Moody Monthly, the author recounted his experience of watching a wildcat in a zoo. "As I stood there," he said, "an attendant entered the cage through a door on the opposite side. He had nothing in his hands but a broom. Carefully closing the door, he proceeded to sweep the floor of the cage." He observed that the worker had no weapon to ward off an attack by the beast. In fact, when he got to the corner of the cage where the wildcat was lying, he poked the animal with the broom. The wildcat hissed at him and then lay down in another corner of the enclosure.

"You certainly are a brave man."

"No, I ain’t brave," he replied as he continued to sweep.

"Well, then that cat must be tame."

"No," came the reply, "he ain’t tame."

"If you aren’t brave and the wildcat isn’t tame, then I can’t understand why he doesn’t attack you."

The man chuckled, then replied with an air of confidence, "Mister, he’s old--and he ain’t got no teeth."

The devil, the god of this world, brings his best spiritual attacks into the everyday routine of each believer; however, every believer should always be with consciousness that they have authority over him, because he is already a defeated foe.

Some believers think that Spiritual Authority over the Devil belongs to only a few chosen people to whom God has given special power. But, I tell you today, “That Spiritual Authority" belongs to all Children of God!

Go back in time with me for a minute, the day you were Born-Again into the Family of God you received spiritual authority. On that day, you were made new a creation in Jesus Christ; Moreover, you inherited the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ and you can name His Spiritual Authority against every attack of the devil.

Luke 10:16-20NASB “The one who listens to you listens to Me, and the one who rejects you rejects Me; and he who rejects Me rejects the One who sent Me.”

In my Bible the caption say, The Happy Results

17-20 The seventy returned with joy, saying, “Lord, even the demons are subject to us in Your name.” 18 And He said to them, “I was watching Satan fall from heaven like lightning. 19 Behold, I have given you authority to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing will injure you. 20 Nevertheless do not rejoice in this, that the spirits are subject to you, but rejoice that your names are recorded in heaven.”

Say that with me- “Happy Results!”

“When believers learn to walk in their inherited Godly authority, believers will walk with a deeper sense of the anointing!” P.H.

“Authority hasn’t been belittled in the church, but the Church of the living God is guilty of not teaching it!” P.H.

Luke 10:16NLT Then he (Jesus) said to the disciples, “Anyone who accepts your message is also accepting me. And anyone who rejects you is rejecting me. And anyone who rejects me is rejecting God, who sent me.

The churches message must be accepted, it must come with power mixed with authority in the Name of Jesus!

Vs. 16 again, If Our message isn’t accepted, Jesus isn’t either. (Rejecting God), that’s heavy!

Luke 10:17NLT When the seventy-two disciples returned, they joyfully reported to him, “Lord, even the demons obey us when we use your name!”

Jesus desired that His disciples keep their motives in check. So the question is, “Do you like the feel of being amazed of what you just did?” Or, “Do you want to walk in the footsteps of God, and want to be amazed by the power of God?”

Luke 10:18NLT “Yes,” he (Jesus) told them, “I saw Satan fall from heaven like lightning!

Think about it, “God flicked satan out of heaven, and as he fell, his pride of life, lust of the flesh, lust of the eyes, looked like lightning from heaven falling!”

Luke 10:19NLT Look, I (Jesus) have given you authority over all the power of the enemy, and you can walk among snakes and scorpions and crush them. Nothing will injure you.

This verse gives great insight on how important authority in Jesus’ name is!

It’s time to walk and talk with our God given authority!

“Salvation~ Come into my heart. I speak with my mouth Jesus Is Lord!”

Sickness- Christ has redeemed me. (Gal. 3:13)

Depression- Christ has anointed me. (Acts 10:38)

Rejection- I please God, before anything else. (Gal.1:10)

Low self-esteem- I’ve been made new! (2 Corinthians 5:17

Bad thought life- My mind is made renewed! (Romans 12:1)

Everything is negative- I think on good godly things. ( Philippians 4:8)

Darkness- My light shines forJesus Christ! (1 Peter 2:9)
