HE is the father in the since that as Adam is the father of the earth, sin, then JESUS is the father of forgiveness. HE is the father of grace and mercy. The Eastern world as two titles for fathers: father of wisdom or father of folly, depending on your life. In this case of being the eternal father HE is the father of eternity. HE is above all and beyond all things. JESUS is federally our father because it was HIM who brought to us the escape route from sin, death and hell. HE is our father because it is HE that brings us life, care for us in our time of need and loves and comforts us like your father is to you. HE is our father because if HE did not resurrect from the dead then when you die in your sin you would not go to heaven but rather burn in hell.
HE is the prince of peace in the sense that HIS kingdom shall last forever and there will be no end to it. Because of HIM you can live in peace forever. Because of HIM you no longer have to be defeated by the devil, live in sorrow of your life, live depressed of your situation or not have hope for tomorrow. You no longer have to live in fear of being mistreated, not loved or being dragged through the mud. You no longer have to wonder what is right or wrong. You will no longer be unrighteous before men or GOD. The Prince of Peace will calm your nerves and ease your mind. Being a prince you have rule over something and being that something for JESUS is peace. HE is the one that brings peace. HE is the only one that knows peace. HE is the only one that can bring peace. The sun does not bring peace; Santa or the turkey does not bring peace. The only thing that can bring peace among the trials and tribulation that you are enduring is to allow the Prince of Peace have rule and reign in your heart.
