Series – FREEDOM – Deals with Inner Issues...

Unresolved...Holding us...We’re not Free from...

I want to Stay Focused on REVIVAL –

Realized that Many Can’t Live in it – Because of INNER ISSUES –

That Haven’t Been turned over to JC...

Therefore – Cant really Live in the Freedom that JC has Won For Each of US...

SCRIPTURE Jn. 19:31-37

Pray...

Many Studies have been done...

Medically...

Garden...Cross...

Where the Soldier “pierced the side of JC”

“Blood & water came out”

The only reason this even happened was...

Uncommon for this because usually legs were broken...

With JC – death had already set in –

PIERCED SIDE = BLOOD & WATER = BROKEN HEART

Jesus is the Friend of a Wounded Heart –

WHY?

Understand this – at his death He took on Everything that was KILLING US

THEME – LIFE over DEATH

In all manner & areas of our existence!

I Jn. 4:9 “Gods love was manifested in this – that he sent his only son into the world, that we might live through him”

Jn 1:4 “in him was life & the life was the light of men”

“Believe in him should not perish...”

“Whoever believes...is passed from death to life”

YET –

We are a FUNNY PEOPLE!

We would rather fake it than live it...

The Problem is –

We ALL are Imperfect People Acting as though that is not True...

TRUTHS –

Somewhere Very Important in Most of Our lives – Our LIFE Ain’t Right!

Our lives are really not as they appear...

We’re all trying to figure it out...

We’re great liars...

We tend to do things we dont want to do...Dont do the things we should...

The LIFE we are really after is Buried Beneath the Stuff...

v BAGGAGE

And Our LIFE is Buried UNDER that ALL

THIS is Exactly What Killed JC!

The Stuff Killing US – Individually...

Depression...Anger...Dysfunction...Immaturity...Esteem issues...Habits...Addictions...Unhealthy Relations...

Hurt...Bitterness...Confusion...Wounds...PAST...

Emotional...Relational...Physical...Spiritual...

Sin...

ALL of that is in Our Baggage & its Killing Us.

What Should We Do? Options?

v Denial

v Keep at it...Business as Usual...

v Half Way Deal With it...

v Let go & Let God (Get Over it)

What Drove JC to the Cross – LOVE

What Killed Him was All the Stuff that IS KILLING YOU & I

Both Spiritually & in all other areas of life...

v THINK ON THIS –

All the Stuff that is Against You Living – Really Living

Grew up...Absentee father...Divorced home...Loss...Stuff been through...

ALL the Stuff in Your Heart...Soul...Mind...Reason...Emotions...

Its affect on you? On Your life & areas of it...

Do about it? Get Past it? FREEDOM?

Col. 2:13,14 “& you, being dead in your sins...he has quickened (made alive) with him, having forgiven ALL your trespasses; blotting out the handwriting of rules that was against us, which was contrary to us & took it out of the way – nailing it to the Cross.”

Jn. 10:10 “came to steal...kill...BUT I have come that you might have life...”

A few truths that will help us live in freedom

1. The Truth Will Make You Free

JC “I am the Way...Truth & Life...”

2. JC Dwelt Among US

“Became flesh & Dwelt among us...”

DWELT...

BECAME...

Experienced it all

Difference Being –

He Lived Above it...

He Experienced “IT”

HE Didn’t fall into the Stuff that we allow to Rule in our life...

Therefore – he can Walk you Out

“Touched with the Feeling of our weakness”

3. He Will Meet you Where You Are

All @ NT – he went to them!

Now he does expect you to Participate with him...

Do your part – but he will definitely DO HIS

He came to Humanity & He will come to Each of us...

4. He offers Life in Place of Death

He messed Funerals up...

Not for funerals sake – but to show that he has power of all the enemy

He came from the place of death

He called Lazarus from that same place...

He would Offer that Which was Most in the Way of Truly LIVING
