WHAT TO DO AFTER NOVEMBER 4
Some are concerned that this could so far as to threaten the liberties we have as Christians. Tony Perkins, head of the Family Research Counsel, said "We are going to see, I think, unprecedented attacks against our faith through measures like the hate crimes [legislation] to the Employment Non-Discrimination Act," he says. "We’re going to see attacks on innocent human life through the Freedom of Choice Act, trying to erase all the gains that have been made in the pro-life movement. And I think even our freedoms are going to come under attack."
Others believe that this is a challenge to Christians to quit looking to politicians and Washington for life solutions and start to look to God. People claiming the name Christian were on both sides of the political line. One thing that unites many on both sides of the spectrum is the relief that the campaign is finally over – no more flyers on doors, no more infomercials, no more debates, no more automated telephone calls from either side. The fighting is over in one arena – with new fights being prepared for another one.
In this time of change, when what we have known could be different, when the values that have been foundational are challenged, when holding a biblical value as truth can be called hateful, when a cultural tsunami is possible, what do we do as the church – how do we have an impact – how do we try to persuade people about the eternal importance of a relationship with Jesus Christ?
First, we need to STAY ON MESSAGE.
One of the mistakes we make as the church too often is trying to make the gospel too complicated. How we do it changes from person to person, but the message stays the same. How it is received changes from person to person, but the message stays the same. When that moment of crossing the line of faith into the Kingdom changes from person to person, but the message stays the same, as Romans 10:9 says, “If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.” (NLT) The Apostle Paul knew the message was not complicated. In 1 Corinthians 2:1-2, he said, “When I came to you, brothers, I did not come with eloquence or superior wisdom as I proclaimed to you the testimony about God. “For I resolved to know nothing while I was with you except Jesus Christ and him crucified.” (NIV)
No matter what happens, no matter who is in charge of the government,

Iam disapointed in this sermon and that it was posted on this web-site by a leader in the Christian Community. This lets me know that there continues to be a biasis and prejudices that exist even in our Christian arenas & worship services. As Christian, just because someone claims to be a conservative does not mean they will lead our country by Godly principles. That is evident by what has happen in this country the last 8 years. There is no evidence that our so call conservative leaders(who have been in position of power for sometime now), have address any of the issues that we as christians are most concern about. Accept it or not, our newly elect president was ordained by God for such a time as this. My God always Greatly use those who by some (Pharasise & Saddasies) most unlikely to fit what they believe to be an ideal leader (Like Jesus son of unwed pregnant teen who eventially married the carpenter. Jesus the carpenter son ). By no means is our newly elect president Jesus, but he has been chosen by God to lead for this season. Just as President Bush was allowed to lead for the last 8 years. If God had not allowed him to lead and influence us with his lies, deception and self serving motives & decision, our society would not have been as open to look past stronghold of racial divide and elect the best canidate. So let us come together as people of God and pray for the success of our chosen leader.

It is my prayer that President elect Obama stand firm on his christian principles and bring our nation together. It is sermons like these, that keep our nation divided. We are a country in crisis, our new President will need the support of all Americans. I don''t expect us to start singing KUM BY YAH, but we can pray for Obama and family, and realize they are not our enemies.

I am a Mennonite a conservative Christian. The American churches are biased. They depend more on speculation than on our Almighty God. One example of this sermon is there will be hate crimes. George Bush proclaimed himself as a born again christian. Carl Rove mobilized buses loads of people from the churches to vote for Bush. Did ever Bush tried to push a bill to ban gay marriages or abortions? He had majority in congress until 2006. Why the so called Bible thumpers did not nag him? Why do you guys trust a human being like Bush more than God. You preach Gospel not one word is practiced. Missisippi is ruled by orthodox Chritians and never bothered to legalize interracial marriages. Please note that our Lord Jesus Christ was conceived in the womb of Mary by the Holy Ghost. Please do not reduce him to the son of an unwed mother. Keep away from politics. Please pray, our God is not impotent. He will listen to our prayers. It took him almost 200 years tos listen to the prayers of the oppressed-slaves. Don''t be jealous of an African American becoming the President of this great country. It is nothing but God''s intervention. He heard the pleas and prayers of the oppressed. I request you guys to have introspection before you write these sugar quoted messages. I am not African American. I am an Indian American. My only advice to the President-elect is, oppressed should not be the oppressor of the oppressor. God bless you all.
