Summary: I believe there are many misconceptions about the identity of the Holy Spirit. Some view the Holy Spirit as some mystical force.

Where Can I Hide?

Psalm 139:7 Whither shall I go from thy spirit? or whither shall I flee from thy presence? 8 If I ascend up into heaven, thou art there: if I make my bed in hell, behold, thou art there.

I believe there are many misconceptions about the identity of the Holy Spirit. Some view the Holy Spirit as some mystical force. The Holy Spirit is used in some of today's worship and is confusing and as though has cast a spell on people.

We see it happening on TV all the time with people that call themselves apostles, faith healers and so on.

But Folks, God is not the author of confusion. The Bible says in 1 Corinthians 14:33 For God is not the author of confu-sion, but of peace, as in all churches of the saints.

My thoughts are, what about the children that watch these things. The worst thing about confusion is that it will just getting worst over time and the true God is hidden in all the aftermath.

Question: Who is the Holy Spirit? Answer: The Holy Spirit is part of the Trinity. The Father is God, the Son is God, and the Holy Spirit is God but, there is only one God. That is the biblical doctrine of the Trinity.

Question: Does any human have a full understanding about the Trinity? Answer: No, it is beyond human understanding.

Rather than attempting to fully define the Trinity with our little human minds, we would be better off by focusing on the fact of God's greatness and His supreme sovereignty and higher nature.

It is an amazing fact that each of the persons of the Trinity serves the others as all refers to one another. The Son says what He hears from the Father (John 12:49–50)... the Father witnesses to and glorifies the Son (John 8:16-18, 50, 54)

The Father and Son honor the Holy Spirit by asking Him to speak in their name (John 14:16, 26); the Holy Spirit honors the Father and Son by helping the community of believers. How does He help us?

by indwelling us 1 Corinthians 6:19 What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?

By guiding us. John 16:13 Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will show you things to come

By teaching us. John 14:26 But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.

By sealing us. Ephesians 1:13 In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise,

14 Which is the earnest of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, unto the praise of his glory

The Holy Spirit appears in the Book of John as the power by which Christians are brought to faith and helped to understand their walk with God. He brings a person to new birth: “That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit" John 3:6

The Bible tells us that the Holy Spirit is a divine person, a being with a mind, emotions, and a will.

The thief steals when he thinks no one sees. The adulterer commits adultery when he thinks no one will know. The liar lies because he thinks no one finds out. But God knows. Just because God is invisible doesn’t mean He isn’t there. God never sleeps.

The Bible also says in Hebrews 4:13 Neither is there any creature that is not manifest in his sight: but all things are naked and opened unto the eyes of him with whom we have to do.

I don't understand it all but, like that old song goes. "How do I know He lives because, He lives in me."
