Where’s the proof?

Good morning everyone. Today I am going to talk a little about a question I see in books, Hear from a lot of people. A common question. Where’s the proof? We have guarantees to give us proof that companies believe there products work. We see steam come off coffee to prove its hot. We feel the wind so that proves that exists. Where’s the proof God exists? Before I answer that I’d like to read you a scripture. Its in Romans. Chapter 1 verses 19 and 20.

“Because that which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God hath shewed it unto them. For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse:”

That right there tells you where the proof is. It doesn’t say we evolved. It doesn’t say there was a big bang. It tells us that what happened in Genesis chapter 1 verses 3-31. For those looking it up it is the story of creation. I’m going to tell you the proof. The creation is the proof. Only a powerful being could have made a tree so perfect. A rose so intricate, or even a human so complex. God is not hiding from us. He has given us so much evidence that you do not even have to be a forensic scientist to solve the puzzle.

I’m going to ask a question besides the obvious when you see a car what is the one thing you never think but is absolutely true? You know it has a motor, tires, windows, it moves. Ok enough of the obvious. The one truth no one thinks about is if there is a car there has to be a car maker. If you have a couch there has to be a couch maker. Then why is it so hard for people to believe there is a creator. God.

Me and my wife discussed this issue and the first thing she brought up was evolution. Ok the theory of evolution still had to have a creator to start evolution. Some being had to create that fish or monkey or whatever we evolved from.

Then she replied, “ok it was a single celled organism.”

Yet again I replied to her, “What made the single cell?”

As you can see I don’t mind a healthy debate once in a while. Either does my wife. But the debate ended there. She did not have an answer for me. Neither of us changed the others minds, but in the bible there are other reasons to believe like in Hebrews. Chapter 1 verses 1 threw 3.

“God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets, Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds; Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high:”

Please forgive my reading out loud skills. But back to our topic. Right there god talked to by using prophets in the old times. Then decided to send his son in his likeness to warn us. To communicate with us Gods will. Then his son Jesus Christ was crucified for our sins. Ok here comes the next bit of proof. It happens in Matthew 28 versus 4 and 5

“ And the angel answered and said unto the women, Fear not ye: for I know that ye seek Jesus, which was crucified. He is not here: for he is risen, as he said. Come, see the place where the Lord lay.”

There is more proof for you. Jesus was crucified Mary knew that. She was there to see it happen. Now she heads to the tomb and has an angel tell her Jesus that was crucified has risen. That has to show that some greater being did some powerful work. A few more verses down in verse 9 they see Jesus.

“And as they went to tell his disciples, behold, Jesus met them, saying, All hail. And they came and held him by the feet, and worshipped him.”

They worship at his feet. The man they watched be crucified 3 days later they worship at his feet. And he was standing, breathing, and talking. I am going to say this one last time there is your proof.

Before our closing prayer I would like to read to everyone Matthew verses 16-20. They are special verses good verses to just sit back and think about.
