her refusal he stated, “You have a boyfriend, and you think if you trusted Jesus Christ your life would change and you might lose your boyfriend.” She answered, “Yes.”
The man then stated, “Would you introduce me to the guy who is worth going to Hell for.”
I John 2:15
A. Some go to hell because of the desire to DO (shameful appetites)
B. Some go to hell because of the desire to HAVE (showy appearance)
C. Some go to hell because of the desire to BE (shallow applause)
III. Some go away because of their WAY
Isaiah 53:6
We don’t go to Hell because we go the devil’s way, a man goes to hell because he goes his own way.
John 14:6
IV. Some go away because of the WONDER
Luke 1:34
To some the Gospel is beyond comprehension. It cannot be logically explained. It makes no sense. It is too good to be believed.
A. It regards an unbelievable person
B. It requires an unbelievable price
C. It realizes an unbelievable purpose
1. Justice is satisfied
2. Love is demonstrated
3. Sinners are justified
The wronged God took the wrong upon HIM, that he who had done the wrong might be saved.
V. Some go away because of the WAIT
Acts 26:28
Almost persuaded, now to believe,
Almost persuaded, Christ to receive.
Seems now some soul to say,
Go, Spirit, go thy way;
Some more convenient day
On Thee I’ll call.
Proverbs 27:1
VI. All go away because of a WON’T
No matter what the excuse it, the bottom lines is simply they don’t get saved because they won’t get saved. The responsibility for accepting Jesus Christ as Saviour lays on the shoulders of man. (John 5:40). The WILL is where the battle is fought.
The only reason why sinners die is because they will not come to Christ for life and happiness: it is not because they cannot, but because they will not.
Here is the true reason declared for us why sinners miss salvation in Jesus Christ, when he has so dearly purchased it for them, and does so freely offer it unto them, and that lies in their own willfulness and obstinacy. “Ye will not come unto me.”
The only true reason why so many sinners miss of salvation and eternal life, after all that Christ has done and suffered for them, is their own stubbornness and unwillingness to come to Him.

Conclusion:
“WILL YE ALSO GO AWAY?” - To go away from Christ is the greatest of follies.
“We believe and are sure” - it is faith first and then assurance.
