Cry Out For Mercy!
Numbers 35:16-21 "If a man strikes another with an iron instrument and causes his death, he is a murderer and shall be put to death. If a man strikes another with a death-dealing stone in his hand and causes his death, he is a murderer and shall be put to death. If a man strikes another with a death-dealing club in his hand and causes his death, he is a murderer and shall be put to death. The avenger of blood may execute the murderer, putting him to death on sight. "If a man
pushes another out of hatred, or after lying in wait for him throws something at him, and causes his death, or if he strikes another out of enmity and causes his death, he shall be put to death as a murderer. The avenger of blood may execute the murderer on sight."
The avenger of blood was the solemn duty of the next of kin. To leave murder unrequited would mean that Yahweh’s land was polluted by innocent blood. In the book of Isaiah and Psalms, the title, Avenger of Blood is applied to Yahweh as blood relative by covenant.
Ps 9:12-13 "Sing hymns to the LORD enthroned on Zion;
proclaim God’s deeds among the nations! For the avenger of blood remembers, He does not forget the cry of the afflicted."
God hears the silent screams of the millions of babies
slaughtered in the womb.
Ezekiel 35:6 "therefore, as I live, says the Lord GOD, you have been guilty of blood, and blood, I swear, shall pursue you."
Numbers 35:33,34 "You shall not desecrate the land where you live. Since bloodshed desecrates the land, the land can have no atonement for the blood shed on it except through the blood of him who shed it. Do not defile the land in which you live and in the midst of which I dwell; for I am the LORD who dwells in the
midst of the Israelites."
We have defiled our land and desecrated it with the blood of the most defenseless, the innocent babies in the womb, therefore The Avenger of Blood; God Himself is pursuing our nation in justice. Only a cry for mercy to the Lamb of God by all Christians can save
our country. Only by invoking the Blood of the Lamb in repentance can our land be sacred again.
Is 18:18-20 "Come now, let us set things right, says the LORD: Though your sins be like scarlet, they may become white as snow; Though they be crimson red, they may become white as wool. If you are willing, and obey, you shall eat the good things of the land; But if you refuse and resist, the sword shall consume
you: for the mouth of the LORD has spoken."
He 10:30-31 "We know who said "Vengeance is mine; I will repay" and "The Lord will judge His people." It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the Living God."
2 Chron 7:14 "If my people who are called by my name will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways then I will hear from heaven, forgive their sins and heal their land."
The fear of God, the fear of His Justice, the fear of His Judgment, the fear of the Avenger of Blood pursuing us, needs to grip our hearts so that we will run to Jesus, crying out for mercy for our country.
The choice is ours: Judgement by the Avenger of Blood
or mercy through repentance by all Christians.
