Introduction

· Last week we discussed what we needed to do to maintain a pure heart.

· We learned that we must be speaking and mediating on the Word daily, placing the Word into our heart & removing the contaminates that stop the blessing.

· We discussed that we must be God pleasers. We must be about the Kingdom of God business.

· As Christians, we must guard our heart… what we watch, listen to and who we hang with must be pure & holy.

· This week I want to impart the Rhema Word of God into your spirit. I want to talk about the 1st miracle Jesus performed and the life lessons we must learn from the scriptures.

(NKJV) John 2 1 On the third day there was a wedding in Cana of Galilee, and the mother of Jesus was there. 2 Now both Jesus and His disciples were invited to the wedding. 3 And when they ran out of wine, the mother of Jesus said to Him, “They have no wine.” 4 Jesus said to her, “Woman, what does your concern have to do with Me? My hour has not yet come.” 5 His mother said to the servants, “Whatever He says to you, do it.” 6 Now there were set there six waterpots of stone, according to the manner of purification of the Jews, containing twenty or thirty gallons apiece. 7 Jesus said to them, “Fill the waterpots with water.” And they filled them up to the brim. 8 And He said to them, “Draw some out now, and take it to the master of the feast.” And they took it. 9 When the master of the feast had tasted the water that was made wine, and did not know where it came from (but the servants who had drawn the water knew), the master of the feast called the bridegroom. 10 And he said to him, “Every man at the beginning sets out the good wine, and when the guests have well drunk, then the inferior. You have kept the good wine until now!” 11 This beginning of signs Jesus did in Cana of Galilee, and manifested His glory; and His disciples believed in Him. 12 After this He went down to Capernaum, He, His mother, His brothers, and His disciples; and they did not stay there many days.

1. Jesus is our solution provider.

A. We must put into our spirit that Jesus is our solution provider, go no where else to look for the answer.

B. As Christians we must not lean to our own understanding or strength. It is Jesus that has placed the super on our natural to get things done.

(NKJV) Proverbs 3 4 And so find favor and high esteem In the sight of God and man. 5 Trust in the LORD with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding; 6 In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths.

2. Just do it!

A. Whenever Jesus tell you to do something, don’t question, just do it.

(NKJV) Deuteronomy 28 1 “Now it shall come to pass, if you diligently obey the voice of the LORD your God, to observe carefully all His commandments which I command you today, that the LORD your God will set you high above all nations of the earth.

B. Part of walking in faith is trusting in what God has told you to do.

C. We must walk in the plans of God and not waver. His plan never fails.

D. Obedience is the key to the blessings of God. Walk by faith and not by sight.

3. Be filled to the brim with the Word and the Holy Spirit.

A. Jesus said to fill the water pots to the brim. Nothing else could be added to the pots.

B. This is just like Jesus; He wants us filled to the brim with His Word and His Holy Spirit. Therefore nothing of the world can be added or contaminate us. There is no room for sin.

(NKJV) Acts 4 31 And when they had prayed, the place where they were assembled together was shaken; and they were all filled with the Holy Spirit, and they spoke the word of God with boldness. 32 Now the multitude of those who believed were of one heart and one soul; neither did anyone say that any of the things he possessed was his own, but they had all things in common.

C. When you are filled to the brim, you will spill over into others lives and they will be changed for Jesus.

D. Jesus was filled to the brim and poured Himself into us by His obedience on the cross.

4. The latter things are greater than the former things.

A. Your past victories in Christ were good, but will fail to compare to what God is going to do for you in 2007.

B. The latter things will be greater then the former things.

(NKJV) Job 8 7 Though your beginning was small, Yet your latter end would increase abundantly.

(NKJV) Job 42 12 Now the LORD blessed the latter days of Job more than his beginning; for he had fourteen thousand sheep, six thousand camels, one thousand yoke of oxen, and one thousand female donkeys.

Conclusion

· There is something to be said about the third day. On this third day, Jesus did His 1st miracle. On the third day, Jesus rose from the dead and defeated death, hell & the grave.

· Jesus sets the standard for all of us to live by in this 1st miracle.

· We must go to Jesus for the solution to every problem, test or trial.

· We must do what He say…be obedient and walk in faith!

· We must always be filled to the brim with His Word and the Holy Spirit. We must be speaking and meditating on the Word daily, constantly be filled to the brim so that we can spill into the lives of those that don’t know Jesus.

· When we do these things, we can stand on the promises of God’s Word. The latter things will be greater than the former things in Christ Jesus.

· Let us pray.
