Summary: The Power of Love.

Love Won2t Let Me Wait

2 1Corinthians 5:13-14

I was glad when they said to me let us go into he house of the Lord. It is indeed a pleasure and honor to be in the house of the Lord, the past few weeks we have experience something that was not normal, where the weather had closed presumably all churches, churches with large and small membership, closed, and cannot speak for you, but I had some problems, dilemmas, I needed to be hear, wanted, desired thirsted, for you see, my coming may be a little different for you, I enjoy coming into his house, I get excited when I think of all the his Goodness, and all that he has done for me.

When you think about we are saved through his grace...forgiven through his mercy...lifted through his love... and redeemed through his blood.

Love wont let wait

We enjoy to many blessings to be quite, solemn, sour, we have to many blessings and benefits that nobody else, can simply because they are only available in and Through Jesus. You see in Christ we have the Determination to face our difficulties, as well as our doubts, the courage needed to face ours cries, as well our critics.

The boldness needed to face our battles as well our burdens*.

Faith that we need to face our fears as well our frustrations. Listen Love wont let me wait

Something has happen, because the church that I recognize, is the church that new and knows how to get in touch with the Lord, that church, was always open, full of power, was prayerful, and powerful. When you walked into that church, lifes were changed, miracles was performed, sin was defeated, love was personified, strongholds were broken, when you asked the drunk on Friday, he looked forward to church, depressed, motherless, fatherless they could not wait.

Too many , the act of Worship is hypocritical, but to the saint, it is genuine and wholehearted, it is a burden, but to the child of God, it is one of the greatest of blessings. To the hypocrit, it is simply time consuming, but to the Christian, it is life invigorating. To the hypocrit it is boring, but to those who are genuine worshippers, it is exciting.

The purpose of worship is to magnify God. The character of worship is to elevate God. The meaning, of worship is to appreciate God. The pleasure of worship is to satisfy God.

Here in the text Paul proclaims that the Love of Christ has compelled him. Something compels me when I look at the term Love: The bible says in

Jeremiah 31:3 I have loved you with an everlasting love; I have drawn you with an everlasting-love, Love in desire.

Rom 5:8 But God demonstrates his own love for us in this, that While we were yet sinners, Christ died for us, Love in demonstration.

Ps 145:20 John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten son, Love in devotion.

True love is this, that a person lay down his life for another. While his life demonstrates true love, with its other-centered focus and its all consuming passion for the welfare of others, it also demonstrates a crucial aspect of love that needs to be addressed more than ever by Christians today: Love must mature.

It must relate to everyday life and be grounded in knowledge and insight. Love, at its heart, is sacrificial, but it is also wise. Love cannot be reduced to the once-for-all act of offering oneself for another (though this might be the greatest demonstration of it), it must also live day to day with people. It must if it is ever to approach Biblical love attempt to clearly understand what it is doing and actions that befit it.

Our love as Christians is to be both a response to Gods love and a reflection of His love. Our Lords love was a far cry from the hypocritical love of the scribes and Pharisees of His day. They spoke of good, but in practice they did what was evil.

While our Lords love prompted Him to receive sinners, and to suffer and to die for their salvation, it also manifested itself in Jesus strong reaction to evil.

Jesus wanted no association with evil, There are Christians today who urge us to emphasize Gods love. This we should do. But if we are to proclaim Gods love, we must distinguish between good and evil. The love of God is that love which clings to the good and abhors the evil.

The love of God cannot and does not overlook sin nor the judgment which it deserves and requires. If we would speak more of Gods love, we must speak more of good and of evil. Rebuke and discipline are not a violation of love but a manifestation of it. Love acts in accordance with righteousness.

The bible says compel: means to force, constrain, and to arouse.

Three things about this text:

Commitment; Convictions, Character

For the Love of Christ Compels: Commitments can be costly, but for those who are willing to pay the price, the rewards are plentiful... there is a light that never dims...a future that never fades...a treasure that never tarnishes...a presence that never parts... Paul demonstrates or he expresses his commitment by stating that he is compelled:

Compel means to be forced, constrained, and i believe that he Loved Christ, in such a way that it had an eternal affect on his life. Paul before he was Paul, was called Saul. and Saul rode a very high horse in life, but just a few seconds in the presence of the Lord, was enough to level and rearrange his life, what the text suggest, that while you are on your way, that the same spirit that came upon me is available for all who receives him.

Commitment, uses for its anchor a strong prescription of Love. I have a hard time believing you can love something and then turn around and destroy.

The Christians life is very inviting, it can be demanding, demanding on ones time...on ones strength...and on ones resources. But when we commit, we are in an agreement that come what may, the Lord can depend on us.

CONVICTIONS: We are convinced that one died for all

Let us consider: Why did He, Who was and is the epitome of glory, of love, of power, of grace, of truth, and of perfection have to die? The answer simply lies in the fact that from the beginning of time, He looked down at the human race and he saw... our sin...He investigated our circumstances...He realized our guilt...He weighed our burdens and he realized that mankind was helplessly lost and destined for hell.. unless He originated and establish a perfect and complete plan of salvation.

He was moved with compassion towards us, and therefore the very purpose for his coming to this earth wa snot to be born in human flesh, was not live a separated live, was not to work mighty healing miracles, but the supreme purpose of His coming was to provide us with a solution to our problem...

The bible record the words of Jesus, I have come that you might have life, he didnt die for us to still lack his presence, have voids in our lives, spiritually depressed, Oh He stepped into our shoes.

CHARACTER:

Love builds character, love builds hopes, love creates our dream; The world without Christ sees nothing but free time, But the world through Christ, sees the almighty God.

Oh when I think of how he Died, Love wont let me wait to say thank you.

When I think that He was wounded for our transgression...bruised for our iniquities....

pierced for our guilt....suffering for our shame...

tortured for our shortcomings...beaten for our wrongs...and he was crucified for our sin.

Iam what I am because of God Love, I should have been dead, sleeping in my old grave, I was sinking deep in sin, but the master of the sea He heard my cry and Love lifted me and now safe am I.

LOVE keeps me up late in the mid-night hour, LOVE wont let me leave the church. LOVE wont let ME hold a grudge, LOVE wont let me hurt my enemies. Because of love, Ill go where he tells me to go, Ill do what he tells me to do, Ill serve with all of my ability work till, the work is done.

Love won’t let me wait.....
