THE POWER OF BEING IN THE CENTER OF GOD’S WILL

1.PURPOSE

There is a great purpose that the Lord has for us . The Lord wants us to pray that His Kingdom should be established in the earth and that His will should done on eath as it is heaven . When we seek the Lord earnestly , He will intervene in the affairs of men and fulfill His divine purpose on the earth. We must put our faith in the Lord who is almighty and is able to fulfill His purpose destroying every resistance. If we fail to seek the Lord then we will allow the enemy to work out his evil purposes on the earth. Therefore we must seek the Lord and cry to Him in order that He may bless our land.

The LORD Almighty has sworn, "Surely, as I have planned, so it will be, and as I have purposed, so it will stand.

For the LORD Almighty has purposed, and who can thwart him? His hand is stretched out, and who can turn it back?

DANIEL 4:34-35

At the end of that time, I, Nebuchadnezzar, raised my eyes toward heaven, and my sanity was restored. Then I praised the Most High; I honored and glorified him who lives forever. His dominion is an eternal dominion; his kingdom endures from generation to generation.

All the peoples of the earth are regarded as nothing. He does as he pleases with the powers of heaven and the peoples of the earth. No one can hold back his hand or say to him: "What have you done?"

2 CHRONICLES 7:14

if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land.

2.PLAN

There is great blessing when we are in the center of God’s will. His plans are greater than our plans and purposes. When we submit ourselves to His will , the Lord will fulfill His plan for our lives. We are like clay in the potter’s hand. We must allow the Lord to mould us and form us according to His will. We should not resist the will of God in our lives. The Lord has chosen us to be His vessels of mercy and we must be grateful to Him for His work of grace in our lives.

This is the word that came to Jeremiah from the LORD :

But the pot he was shaping from the clay was marred in his hands; so the potter formed it into another pot, shaping it as seemed best to him.

"O house of Israel, can I not do with you as this potter does?" declares the LORD. "Like clay in the hand of the potter, so are you in my hand, O house of Israel.

ROMANS 9:15-23

For he says to Moses, "I will have mercy on whom I have mercy, and I will have compassion on whom I have compassion."

It does not, therefore, depend on man’s desire or effort, but on God’s mercy.

For the Scripture says to Pharaoh: "I raised you up for this very purpose, that I might display my power in you and that my name might be proclaimed in all the earth."

Therefore God has mercy on whom he wants to have mercy, and he hardens whom he wants to harden.

One of you will say to me: "Then why does God still blame us? For who resists his will?"

But who are you, O man, to talk back to God? "Shall what is formed say to him who formed it, ’Why did you make me like this?’ "

Does not the potter have the right to make out of the same lump of clay some pottery for noble purposes and some for common use?

What if God, choosing to show his wrath and make his power known, bore with great patience the objects of his wrath—prepared for destruction?

What if he did this to make the riches of his glory known to the objects of his mercy, whom he prepared in advance for glory—

ROMANS 12:1-2

Therefore, I urge you, brothers, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God—this is your spiritual act of worship.

Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.

3.PROTECTION

There is great protection in our lives when we are in the center of God’s will. The Lord will be a wall of fire around us and He will the glory within us. He will keep us as the apple of His eye and anyone who touches us will touch the apple of His eye. When we are in the center of God’s will, we will dwell under His shadow and enjoy divine protection.

4.PATRONAGE

There is great favour and patronage in our lives when we are in the center of God’s will. The Lord will turn the hearts of rulers to favour us in order to fulfill His will in our lives. He will rebuke authorities and warn them not to harm us . He caused the offical to show favour and sympathy to Daniel. When we are in the center of God’s will , we can experience supernatural favour working in our lives.

5.PRAYER

There is great power in our prayer when we are in the center of God’s will. We have the assurance that when we ask according to His will , the Lord will surely answer our prayers. When our motive is to glorify God , the Lord will do more than we ask or think . When Elijah acted according to the will of God , the Lord vindicated His servant and answered him by fire from heaven.

In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groans that words cannot express.

And he who searches our hearts knows the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes for the saints in accordance with God’s will.

6.PRAISE

There is great power in our praise and worship when we are in the center of God’s will. As we praise and worship the Lord with all our heart , He will fight our battles and bring justice to us and judgement on the enemy. We must stand on the word of God which is the sword of the Spirit and worship the Lord in faith and confidence in order to enforce the judgement of God on the evildoers.

2 CHRONICLES 20:20-24

Early in the morning they left for the Desert of Tekoa. As they set out, Jehoshaphat stood and said, "Listen to me, Judah and people of Jerusalem! Have faith in the LORD your God and you will be upheld; have faith in his prophets and you will be successful."

After consulting the people, Jehoshaphat appointed men to sing to the LORD and to praise him for the splendor of his holiness as they went out at the head of the army, saying: "Give thanks to the LORD, for his love endures forever."

As they began to sing and praise, the LORD set ambushes against the men of Ammon and Moab and Mount Seir who were invading Judah, and they were defeated.

The men of Ammon and Moab rose up against the men from Mount Seir to destroy and annihilate them. After they finished slaughtering the men from Seir, they helped to destroy one another.

When the men of Judah came to the place that overlooks the desert and looked toward the vast army, they saw only dead bodies lying on the ground; no one had escaped.

HEBREWS 4:12

For the word of God is living and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart.

Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.

7.POWER

There is great power available to us when we are in the center of God’s will. The Lord will build His church and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. The Lord has given us the keys of the Kingdom and we have tha authority to bind the works of the enemy and release the blessings of God. The Lord has set before us an open door which no man can shut. He will break down every hindrance and cause us to progress in our walk with Him. We must use the authority that we have just as Elijah did in his time.

God did extraordinary miracles through Paul,

Some Jews who went around driving out evil spirits tried to invoke the name of the Lord Jesus over those who were demon-possessed. They would say, "In the name of Jesus, whom Paul preaches, I command you to come out."

Seven sons of Sceva, a Jewish chief priest, were doing this.

(One day) the evil spirit answered them, "Jesus I know, and I know about Paul, but who are you?"

Then the man who had the evil spirit jumped on them and overpowered them all. He gave them such a beating that they ran out of the house naked and bleeding.

When this became known to the Jews and Greeks living in Ephesus, they were all seized with fear, and the name of the Lord Jesus was held in high honor.
