*#2 THEN GOD! THE ANSWER IS HIDDEN IN THE NEED!
YOUR PROBLEM WILL NOT CATCH GOD BY SURPRISE!

This is the second part of a two part lesson, I do this part in two parts.
I. NOTHING TAKES OUR MIGHTY GOD BY SURPRISE.
A. God is the Creator.
B. Today many of God’s creatures seem to like CREATURE OR PLEASURE
WORSHIP, but God’s creatures were made in God’s image to WORSHIP AND PRAISE HIS HOLY NAME.
C. We trust certain eternal truths.
One truth on which we stand is God has always been, and God will always be.
Genesis 1:1 In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.
D. The Greek alphabet begins with ALPHA.
The Greek alphabet ends with Omega. God is there through it all.
Rev. 21:6 And he said unto me, It is done. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. I will give unto him that is athirst of the fountain of the water of life freely.
Rev. 22:13 I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, the first and the last.
E. Our Father is reliable and trustworthy.
He is totally complete, he is the beginning and the end, and everything in the middle.
F. One day God will send His precious son and say: THAT IS ENOUGH.
We seek the second coming of our Lord and Savior.
Rev. 22:20 He which testifieth these things saith, Surely I come quickly. Amen. Even so, come, Lord Jesus. 21 The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen.
II. WHAT IS THE FIRST THING YOU KNOW?
A. First thing you know O, Jed’s a millionaire,
Kin folk say, Jed move away from there.
Said, Califor-knee, is the place you ought to be,
So they loaded up the truck and moved to Beverly,
Hills that is: swimming pools, movie stars ---
B. WHAT DO YOU KNOW?
Sometimes in the heat of the moment, we tend to forget WHAT WE KNOW?
Do you know there is a God and GOD HAS THIS UNDER CONTROL?
C. OUR GOD HAS A PLAN.
SOMETIMES WHAT SEEMS TO BE THE WORSE THING THAT COULD HAPPEN TO YOU IS NO MORE THAN A DIVINE PLAN TO ACCOMPLISH THE WORK OF GOD!
Romans 8:28 And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.
D. What may appear to be the worse thing that could happen, MAY BE THE BEST THING THAT EVER HAPPENED TO YOU!
E. MAYBE GOD HAD TO TAKE YOU HERE --- TO GET YOU THERE?
God has a way of turning bad situations and problems into GROWTH EVENTS and our faith grows from mustard seed size to ENOUGH TO SEE US THROUGH
and bring us from VICTORY to VICTORY!
Isaiah 26:3 Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee.
Romans 8:28 And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.
III. THEN GOD!
WHAT IS THE LITTLE AMONG SO GREAT A NEED?
JESUS ALREADY KNEW WHAT HE WAS GOING TO DO!
JESUS JUST WANTED TO SEE WHAT KIND OF FAITH PHILIP HAD?
PHILIP HAD THE FAITH --- BUT THEY LET GO OF THE FAITH --- THEN GOD!
A. THERE IS MORE TO THE TEST THAN JUST REALIZING PEOPLE ARE HUNGRY!
John 6:5 When Jesus then lifted up his eyes, and saw a great company come unto him, he saith unto Philip, Whence shall we buy bread, that these may eat?
6 And this he said to prove him: for he himself knew what he would do.
B. IT WOULD TAKE A FORTUNE TO FEED THESE PEOPLE.
The people are very hungry!
John 6:7 Philip answered him, Two hundred pennyworth of bread is not sufficient for them, that every one of them may take a little.
C. There are 5,000 MEN!
LET US SAY 5,000 WOMEN, BUT YOU KNOW IN ANY RELIGIOUS CROWD
THERE ARE MORE WOMEN THAN MEN.
Let’s say there is one child per woman,

F. THE ANSWER TO HUNGRY PEOPLE WAS IN THEIR MIST!
John 6:8 One of his disciples, Andrew, Simon Peter’s brother, saith unto him, 9 There is a lad here, which hath five barley loaves, and two small fishes:
but what are they among so many?
G. MY FRIEND, THE ANSWER IS HIDDEN IN OUR NEED!
IV. AM I TRAPPED HERE?
MOSES’ HEART CRIED, I HAVE MADE A MESS OUT OF MY LIFE!
AM I BEING PUNISHED FOR POOR CHOICES?
YET MOSES HAD TO FEEL --- THERE HAS TO BE MORE TO LIFE THAN THIS.
HEY, MOSES, WHAT IS THAT IN YOUR HAND?
MOSES HAD TO LEARN TO TRUST GOD EVEN WHEN HE COULD NOT FEEL GOD!
A. Moses had spent an entertaining, pleasurable life his FIRST 40 YEARS!
He had lived in a palace, he had servants to cater to his needs.
He was educated in the highest school of the land.
B. Moses’ next 40 years seem to be a total waste.
Moses meets some shepherd girls that are the UNDERDOGS, and Moses takes up for them and helps them get water for their sheep.
Moses is going to marry one of these pretty girls!
C. MANY NIGHTS WHILE SISTER MOSES WAS COOKING SUPPER,
MOSES WENT TO THE SCREEN DOOR AND LOOKED ACROSS THE BARREN DESERT AND PONDERED IN HIS HEART, IS THIS ALL THERE IS.
E. Can you imagine one day: Moses came in from tending sheep, and cleaned the sheep stuff off the bottom of his sandals, and cried, AM I TRAPPED HERE?
F. ONE MORNING MOSES GOT UP, TIED ON HIS SANDALS, GOT HIS BROWN BAG LUNCH AND HEADED OUT HIS TENT DOOR.
G. MOSES WILL NEVER BE THE SAME, MOSES IS GOING TO HAVE A PERSONAL ENCOUNTER WITH HIS HOLY GOD, AND MOSES WILL FINALLY UNDERSTAND GOD HAS A PLAN!
Exodus 3:2 And the angel of the Lord appeared unto him in a flame of fire out of the midst of a bush: and he looked, and, behold, the bush burned with fire,
and the bush was not consumed.
H. MOSES FOUND THE GOD OF ABRAHAM.
MOSES FOUND THAT GOD LOVED MURDERERS THAT HAD MESSED UP THEIR LIFE!!
I. WHAT APPEARED TO HAVE BEEN A TRAPPED LIFE WAS A LIFE OF EDUCATION AND PREPARATION FOR THE MARK OF THE HIGH CALLING!
V. MY FRIEND, WHAT DOES GOD NEED TO USE US TO BRING GLORY TO HIS NAME?
A. HEY, MOSES, WHAT IS THAT IN YOUR HAND?
MOSES HAD TO LEARN TO TRUST GOD EVEN WHEN HE COULD NOT FEEL GOD!
Exodus 4:2 And the Lord said unto him, What is that in thine hand? And he said, A rod.
B. THIS ROD WILL DO MORE THAN TURN INTO A SNAKE.
MOSES KEPT THE ROD OF GOD NEAR HIM AND HIS FAMILY.
Exodus 4:20 And Moses took his wife and his sons, and set them upon an ass, and he returned to the land of Egypt: and Moses took the rod of God in his hand.
C. THE FLESH TRIES TO DUPLICATE THE WORK OF GOD.
NOT ONLY DO THE MAGICIANS OF EGYPT TRY, THEY DO WHAT APPEARS TO BE THE WORK OF GOD’S ROD. BUT GOD HAS A HIDDEN LESSON.
Exodus 7:12 For they cast down every man his rod, and they became serpents: but Aaron’s rod swallowed up their rods.
D. The rod will be lifted many times.
River to blood
The frogs
The lice
The flies
The boils
The hail
The locust
The darkness that could be felt
The death of the FIRSTBORN
E. BUT THERE COMES --- THEN GOD!
THERE WAS A RED SEA IN FRONT --- A DESPERATE SITUATION --- MADE EVEN MORE DESPERATE WHEN THE NEGATIVE CROWD STARTS REPORTING THE DUST CLOUD BEHIND US IS PHAROAH’S ANGRY ARMY!
F. GOD KNEW THE RED SEA WAS THERE! JUST LIKE GOD KNEW PHAROAH’S HOT ANGER WOULD SEEK REVENGE. BUT ALL THIS DID NOT SCARE GOD.
Exodus 14:16 But lift thou up thy rod, and stretch out thine hand over the sea, and divide it: and the children of Israel shall go on dry ground through the
midst of the sea.
G. WE MUST SEE BEYOND THE DROWNING WATERS!
WE MUST SEE BEYOND THE ANGER OF THE PAST.
DON’T LISTEN TO THE CRY OF THE NEGATIVE DOOMERS!
BUT THEN GOD ---
VI. YO, GOLIATH --- WE CAN’T WIN?
I KNOW YOU ARE BIG ---
I KNOW YOU ARE A CHAMPION
I KNOW YOUR SWORD HAS WON MANY BATTLES ---
BUT GOLIATH KNOW --- THEN GOD!
A. WANT TO TALK ABOUT HOW BIG THE ENEMY IS?
Goliath was over 9 feet tall, his reach would have been great.
Goliath’s coat was over 200 pounds heavy.
Goliath had a bronze helmet and bronze leggings.
B. Besides that --- Goliath’s javelin weighed over 25 pounds. Goliath could have killed you with his javelin just by swinging it and hitting you!
Now add to all those defeating facts, Goliath had a man in front of him carrying a huge shield.
C. ANY MAN COULD HAVE LET GOD ARISE!
AFTER 80 NEGATIVE MESSAGES, AND 40 NIGHTS OF CRYING IN THEIR TENTS --- GOD’S MEN WERE PARALIZED TO DO NOTHING!
1 Samuel 17:16 And the Philistine drew near morning and evening, and presented himself forty days.
D. DAVID REFUSED TO ALLOW THE BATTLE TO BE FOUGHT BY THE FLESH!
DAVID KNEW --- HE WOULD ARISE AND PERMIT GOD TO RELEASE THE DIVINE PLAN.
1 Samuel 17:45 Then said David to the Philistine, Thou comest to me with a sword, and with a spear, and with a shield: but I come to thee in the name
of the Lord of hosts, the God of the armies of Israel, whom thou hast defied.
46 This day will the Lord deliver thee into mine hand; and I will smite thee, and take thine head from thee; and I will give the carcases of the host of the
Philistines this day unto the fowls of the air, and to the wild beasts of the earth; that all the earth may know that there is a God in Israel.
47 And all this assembly shall know that the Lord saveth not with sword and spear: for the battle is the Lord’s, and he will give you into our hands.
E. LOOK AT THE LIVING BIBLE’S WORDS!
1 Samuel 17:47 And Israel will learn that the Lord does not depend on weapons to fulfill his plans--he works without regard to human means! He will give you to us!
F. WHEN DAVID CHOSE HIS WEAPON, HE WAS ACKNOWLEDGING THERE IS A VICTORIOUS GOD.
1 Samuel 17:50 So David prevailed over the Philistine with a sling and with a stone, and smote the Philistine, and slew him; but there was no sword in the hand of David.
51 Therefore David ran, and stood upon the Philistine, and took his sword, and drew it out of the sheath thereof, and slew him, and cut off his head therewith. And when the Philistines saw their champion was dead, they fled.
G. DAVID IS WILLING TO TAKE ON GOLIATH’S WHOLE FAMILY.
DAVID PICKED UP FIVE STONES, --- GOLIATH HAD FOUR BROTHERS---
H. It appears the smooth stone did not kill Goliath, from these verses. David used Goliath’s own sword to cut off the giants head.
J. THEN GOD --- DAVID ALLOWS GOD TO DO HIS STUFF.
Five smooth stones? Why not sharp stones?
To let GOD SHOW HIS STUFF!
K. IN THE HEAT OF BATTLE DAVID RAN FOR HIS LIFE, AND DAVID DID NOT HAVE A SWORD. DAVID ENQUIRED OF THE PREACHER, IS THERE A SWORD AROUND HERE?
1 Samuel 21:9 And the priest said, The sword of Goliath the Philistine, whom thou slewest in the valley of Elah, behold, it is here wrapped in a
cloth behind the ephod: if thou wilt take that, take it: for there is no other save that here. And David said, There is none like that; give it me.
L. DAVID HAD THE SWORD OF GOLIATH THAT HE USED TO CUT OFF GOLIATH’S HEAD AND TAKEN AS AN OFFERING TO THE CHURCH.
THE ANSWER TO DAVID’S PROBLEM WAS FOUND IN THE NEED.
1 Samuel 22:10 And he enquired of the Lord for him, and gave him victuals, and gave him the sword of Goliath the Philistine.
M. AS GOD PROVIDED FOR DAVID’S NEED WITH THE SOLUTION TO THE PROBLEM BEING FOUND IN THE NEED, SO GOD HAS A SOLUTION FOR YOU!
Will we come before the throne and LET GOD ARISE?
VII. NOW EVERYBODY COULD SEE THE PREACHERS WERE IGNORANT AND UNLEARNED, --- THEN GOD!
Acts 4:13 Now when they saw the boldness of Peter and John, and perceived that they were unlearned and ignorant men, they marvelled; and they took
knowledge of them, that they had been with Jesus.
A. We can hide behind our limitations, and excuse doing nothing?
B. It aappears there was a difference in these men --- THEY HAD BEEN WITH JESUS.
C. HAVE WE BEEN WITH JESUS? If we have --- THEN GOD!
CONCLUSION:
There was a prayer warrior that faced the lion’s den --- THEN GOD.
There was a widow with a handful of meal and a little oil --- THEN GOD!
There was a weak, sick woman that had spent all on the doctors, she had been
sick 12 years, --- THEN GOD.
There were TAXES DUE --- Go fishing? --- THEN GOD.
THERE WAS A BLIND MAN FROM BIRTH --- THEN GOD!
We can’t fight our battles in the flesh alone.
God used ignorant and unlearned men to advance the church.
There is more than just John’s baptism in water, we need the baptism
of the spirit for fire, leadership, remembrance, and power!
It is not by might, not by power, but BY HIS SPIRIT!
HERE WE ARE IN OUR SITUATIONS --- THEN GOD!
