Summary: The first of 7 messages where we are looking at 7 events in the life of Christ counting back to Chrithmas. Events that are intended to shape and define our lives.

His Return

There’s No Place Like Home

Back To Christmas (1)

QUESTION – who here has seen the Wizard Of Oz? Who here has seen it more than once? YEAH – I think most of us probably have. THIS - 1939 classic is pretty timeless… I MEAN – it’s a movie we watched as kids and that we watched with our kids.

NOW - the Wizard of Oz is basically the story of a girl named Dorothy who is trying to find her way back home… YOU SEE – after a powerful tornado lifted and carried her house (You know, I’ve always wondered that if this tornado was so strong that it could lift her house into the air how come mean old Miss Gulch was able to ride her bike in it outside of Dorothy’s window)… WELL ANYWAY – after the tornado carried her house and her dog to a new and strange land… (a land full of witches, color and munchkins… DOROTHY - knew that she was no longer where? She knew that she was no longer in Kansas… NOW – at the time Dorothy didn’t know exactly where she was… BUT – one thing she did know was that this new place on which her feet were now walking was not her home…

THE – Wizard of Oz, is a story about Dorothy’s quest, her journey down a Yellow Brick Road to meet The Great & Powerful OZ, so that she can get back to Kansas... UNDERSTAND – Dorothy is driven by one unrelenting reality, that there is no place like home…

2,000 years ago… A MAN – who was sitting in an upper room having a meal with His guys, was driven by that very same reality… UNDERSTAND – the moment that God put on flesh and arrived in this world of ours… HE – knew that He was not in Kansas anymore… AND JESUS – just like Dorothy was driven (those 33 years that His feet walk the sand of Palestine) by one unrelenting reality, that there is no place like home…

AND – on that Thursday night in Jerusalem, Jesus knew that as soon as He had walked the road that had been laid out for Him since before the dawn of time, he was going home…

It was just before the Passover Feast. Jesus knew that the time had come for him to leave this world and go to the Father. Having loved his own who were in the world, he now showed them the full extent of his love. The evening meal was being served, and the devil had already prompted Judas Iscariot, son of Simon, to betray Jesus. Jesus knew that the Father had put all things under his power, and that he had come from God and was returning to God; so he got up from the meal, took off his outer clothing, and wrapped a towel around his waist. After that, he poured water into a basin and began to wash his disciples’ feet, drying them with the towel that was wrapped around him – John 13:1-5

• Jesus knew that the time had come for him to leave this world and go to the Father.

• Jesus knew that he had come from God and was returning to God;

Jesus knew that there was no place like home…

AND – deep down so does every other man and woman who has ever walked the face of this earth… UNDERSTAND – deep down we know that this world is not enough and never will be… DEEP DOWN – we know that life here is not and never will be fully satisfying… “All of our lives we take hold of the wrong thing, go to the wrong places, eat the wrong food. We drink too much, sleep too much, work too long, take too many vacations or to few – all in the faint hope that this will finally satisfy us and silence the hunger within. We go from relationship to relationship; job to job, house to house even church to church… convinced that this one is the right one. It’s not. And it won’t ever be. Better figure it out now. The world is booby-trapped. It’s rigged for disappointment. On earth everything falls short of some hoped for ideal. Everything good down here has a tragic brevity and a funny after taste to it. It all falls short and shortly falls apart. None of it possess any ultimacy.

DEEP DOWN – we know that there we have a desire for something that the things of this earth can only make us thirsty for but can never quench… DEEP DOWN – (because God has placed eternity within our hearts) we know that we are not home yet that we are from and destined for someplace else.…

I love how CS Lewis puts it in his classic Mere Christianity…

Creatures are not born with desires unless satisfaction for those desires exists. A baby feels hunger: well, there is such a thing as food. A duckling wants to swim: well, there is such a thing as water… If I find in myself s desire which no experience in this world can satisfy, the most probable explanation is that I was made for another world. If none of my earthly pleasures satisfy it, that does not mean that the universe is a fraud… earthly pleasures were never meant to satisfy it, but only to arouse it, to suggest the real thing.

UNDERSTAND - this shaking, this unsatisfied desire within each of us is a diving rod for streams of living water. This unfulfilled hunger that eats at us and drives us – is in reality an appetite for God. (TIM…) God put it in us – it’s a homing devise for heaven. AND – we just want settle for anything less.

We are citizens of heaven, where the Lord Jesus Christ lives. And we are eagerly waiting for him to return as our Savior. 21He will take these weak mortal bodies of ours and change them into glorious bodies like his own, using the same mighty power that he will use to conquer everything, everywhere. – Philippians 3:20,21

Prayer…

MOST - of us, if we look at our lives would see that they have been greatly impacted by several major events, events that both define and shape who we are and how we live. (in the space provided in your notes, write down a few of the major events in your life that as you look back on them, it is pretty obvious that they have greatly shaped, molded and defined who you are and who you are becoming.)

WELL - the same is true for Jesus… UNDERSTAND - His life was and still is shaped by several specific events. AND - as we bring the year 2007 to a close, we are going to take a look at those 7 major events and count Back to Christmas. THOSE – 7 major events are;

• His Return

• His Commission

• His Resurrection

• His Death

• His Message

• His Baptism & Temptation

• His Birth

AND [Tim…] – if you choose to join us during the next 7 weeks you are going to find yourself on an amazing journey… A JOURNEY – where you will not only see how these 7 events shaped and defined the life of Christ, but how they are intended to shape and define, your life [Tim, Laurie]… and my life today, November 11, 2007. THIS MORNING – we are going to talk about His Return… IN - a message I am calling, ‘There Is No Place Like Home.’ THERE - are only 2 major points in your notes today… #1 His Return and #2 His Return for us…

His Return

UNDERSTAND – before Jesus could return FOR us… HE - first had to return back to the Father Himself… AND – this event, HIS - return back to the father is an event that most definitely shaped and defined His life.

NOW IF – you were to look through the Gospels, do you know what you would find? THAT JESUS – talked about going home a lot. AND – do you know when His conversions about going home really cranked up? BEGINNING – that Thursday night in the upper room UNTIL – he was arrested in the garden… Jesus knew that the time had come for him to leave this world and go to the Father… Jesus knew… that he had come from God and was returning to God..

QUESTION – in those few dark hours between that Supper in the Upper Room and His arrest in the garden… HOW – many times do you think Jesus talked about the fact that He was returning home the Father?

GUYS – it’s amazing how many times Jesus talks about it… I MEAN – it is like He is: obsessed, driven, compelled, held… AND - held up by the fact, that He was going home…

AND IF – you have you bible turn to John 13… BECAUSE – I want you to see for yourself how captured Jesus was that night by the fact that He was going home…

My children, I will be with you only a little longer. You will look for me, and just as I told the Jews, so I tell you now: Where I am going, you cannot come. – John 13:33

1"Do not let your hearts be troubled. Trust in God; trust also in me. In my Father’s house are many rooms; if it were not so, I would have told you. I am going there to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am. You know the way to the place where I am going." – John 14:2-4

I tell you the truth, anyone who has faith in me will do what I have been doing. He will do even greater things than these, because I am going to the Father. – John 14:12

I will not leave you as orphans; I will come to you. Before long, the world will not see me anymore, but you will see me. Because I live, you also will live. – John 14:18,19

You heard me say, ’I am going away and I am coming back to you.’ If you loved me, you would be glad that I am going to the Father, for the Father is greater than I. - John 14:28

When the Counselor comes, whom I will send to you from the Father, the Spirit of truth who goes out from the Father, he will testify about me. – John 15:26

Now I am going to him who sent me, - John 16:5

But I tell you the truth: It is for your good that I am going away. Unless I go away, the Counselor will not come to you; but if I go, I will send him to you.

– John 16:7

I am going to the Father, where you can see me no longer; - John 16:10

I came from the Father and entered the world; now I am leaving the world and going back to the Father." - John 16:28

I will remain in the world no longer, but they are still in the world, and I am coming to you. Holy Father, protect them by the power of your name—the name you gave me—so that they may be one as we are one. – John 17:11

"I am coming to you now, - John 17:13

QUESTION – do you think that Jesus’ return back home to the Father, shaped and defined who was and how he lived?

• DO - you think it help Him do and endure everything that would come at Him after His arrest…?

• HOW – do you think Jesus’ experience during the next day would have been different if He was not convinced that He was going back to the Father…?

• WHY – do you think he talked more about His going home in John 13-17 then at any other time during His earthly walk?

• WHY - that night were his thoughts so fixated on going home?

• WHERE – did his confidence, his focus and his perspective during that week of passion come from?

Keep your eyes on Jesus, who both began and finished this race we’re in. Study how he did it. Because he never lost sight of where he was headed--that exhilarating finish in and with God--he could put up with anything along the way: cross, shame, whatever. And now he’s there, in the place of honor, right alongside God. 3When you find yourselves flagging in your faith, go over that story again, item by item, that long litany of hostility he plowed through. That will shoot adrenaline into your souls! - Hebrews 12:2,3

CIRCLE - he never lost sight of where he was headed

HE – knew where he was headed. HE – had been there before (since before time began). HE – was headed home. AND - there’s no place like home.

THE – next point in your notes is…

His Return For Us…

UNDERSTAND – all of human history is advancing, is moving towards ONE climatic and culminating event… AND LISTEN – every day, every moment brings us closer to the day that the sky will crack open and the Lord will come again…

DO YOU – ever think about it? ON – Tuesday night while Mei-Leigh was in dance class I thought about it while I sat at a table in Chix Fila working on this message. I found myself thinking… “what if right now… the sky and the entire world shook with the sound of a trumpet and the shouts of angels (Holy Holy Holy… ) what if right now the sky were to light up with every color we have seen and a few we haven’t seen… what if right now Jesus Christ returned in all of His glory with all the armies of heaven… what would the people in the Chix Fila do? How would they respond? EVERY car around the world is stopped, people running out of every building looking up… “

CHURCH – Jesus is returning… AND - when Christ comes again it will not be like his first coming... where He was mocked, beaten, spit upon, pushed, shoved and crucified on a cross -- clothed only in the precious blood that poured from His suffering body...

Men will not beat Jesus again

Men will not mock Him gain

Men will not do anything to him again...

YES - someday, and it may be real soon, the activity and sounds of this world will be suddenly and dramatically interrupted as the world will resound will the a loud shout, with the voice of the archangel and the blast of the trumpet call of God (a loud call to gather His people and announce the arrival of her King), and then Christ will return…

He will return in glory, and He will be clothed in power... and all the earth will see Him… ON - His robe and thigh He will have this name written, "King of kings and Lord of lords…” EVERY - every knee on earth and in heaven will bow down, and every tongue will confess that Jesus Christ, is Lord!!!

AND ALL - who belong to Him; who are IN HIM; who have put their faith in him… ALL - who have chosen to follow and live for Him … WILLL rejoice as He gathers them up and takes them to their home with the Father…

IT’S – the home we’ve always dreamed of. IT’S – where we were created to live. IT’S – the place where those down deep desires WILL BE: fully, completely and forever satisfied!

[Tim…] – your future home is going to be awesome, incredible, amazing, indescribable for at least 2 reasons; FIRST, because of…

What Is Not Going To Be There…

I.Y.F.H.

There Will No Longer Be Any Sea…

In Revelation 21 John says; Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away, and there was no longer any sea

QUESTION – why no more sea? Why no more large bodies of water? NOW – that seems kind of like a lose to me. I like the sea, I like the oceans. IN FACT – one of my favorite things is to sit on the beach, by a lake or near a stream and listen to and stare at, the water… Why no more seas in heaven?

NOW WE NEED TO REMEMBER – that this is a metaphor, it’s figurative language. John is trying to us a home that we have never been too.

IN - the ancient world, seas were both places of danger and of death. AND – not only that, but seas were what separated nations AND kept people apart… SO – the symbol of seas came to be an image of our separation; from God, from other people, - it was a symbol of the lack of community.

QUESTION – where was John when He wrote his Revelation? In exile on the Island of Patmos. Starring at a sea that separated him from all the ones he loved.

IMAGINE - living in a world where people are no longer separated by; color, culture, race, by economics, by a denominational label, by the stupid and thoughtless things we all do and say… OR – by anything else… MAN - I SO – look forward to the day, when all the things that divide and seperate us are left behind and we are finally ONE… EVERY – relationship awesome and sweet with no barriers.

I.Y.F.H. – there will be no more seas….no more separation… AND

There Will Be No More Sun Or Moon

Because as we are told in Revelation 21:23 – “The city does not need the sun or the moon to shine on it for the glory of God gives it light, and the Lamb is its lamp.”

IMAGINE – living in a world that is illuminated by the presence and glory of God.

I.Y.F.H.

There Will be No More Going To Church

John writes; “I did not see a temple in the city, because the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb are its temple.”

NOW – don’t get me wrong, I love the church (if you were here last weekend for our new membership class), but in heaven we will no longer need to GO to church because we will dwell eternally and fully in God’s presence…

UNDERSTAND - people will not have to chase after God through priests or ritual. No more daily devotions, no more sermon outlines… YOU SEE - all of these shadows will be consumed in the reality of his glorious presence…

I.Y.F.H.

There Will Be No More Time…

And - If we are honest we’d have to admit, THAT - many times, we put projects ahead of people… AND THAT - we listen poorly and work haphazardly, because we are pressed by the clock. BUT LISTEN – in eternity there will be no rush…no time clock.

I MEAN – try to imagine the reality of living in a world where you will always have time to listen to a child’s story, to hold a loved ones hand, to sit quietly and watch the world. Imagine – a world, with no deadlines to meet, no traffic jams to fight, no lines to rush to the front of… IMAGINE – a world where the first world out of our mouths when we’re asked, “how have you been…” will never be… “Busy…”

IYFH

There Will Be Nothing Impure…

“Nothing impure will ever enter it, nor will anyone who does what is shameful or deceitful, but only those whose names are written in the Lamb’s book of life.” - Revelation 21:27

LISTEN – nothing impure will enter the New Jerusalem… NOW – if you are like me this may make you wonder, “THEN, how will I ever get in?” [Tim…] – you will get in by the blood of Christ which purifies us from every sin and stain…… WHAT - an awesome truth…

BUT – perhaps this purity thing may even go deeper than that… QUESTION – is it possible that we could be sinless in our new bodies? Is it possible that we will no longer need Jesus as a go between as an advocate, with the father? NOW – that may seem a little far fetched but I want you to think about a couple of things…

FIRST; satan and his cronies will not be in heaven, in the New Jerusalem. THEREFORE - they will no longer be around to put ideas into our heads and opportunities in our path…

SECOND; we will no longer live in a society where sins prevails… There will no more porn sites, no more adult book stores, no more red-light districts, no more aggressive drivers with fingers flying out their windows, no more materialistic malls or Hollywood to promote…. No more drugs no more alcohol… LISTEN – there will be nothing in our environment to temp us to sin…

I.Y.F.H.

There Will Be No Fear…

Are you afraid? Do you struggle with fear? IYFH – there will be no fear… John writes; On no day will its gates ever be shut, for there will be no night there. Rev 21:25…

REMEMBER - in biblical times there wasn’t electricity. THEREFORE - night was a time of darkness, a time of vulnerability, a time when crimes were committed, a time of fear, a time to shut the gates. BUT - in the kingdom of God, those days will be over. I.Y.F.H. – there will be no more locked doors; no gated communities; no security systems, no more fear..

I.Y.F.H.

There Will Be No More Wars

Isaiah 2:4 says, "God will judge between the nations and will settle disputes for many peoples. They will beat their swords into plowshares and their spears into pruning hooks. Nations will not take up sword against nation, nor will they train for war anymore"—no more fighting, no more hatred.

AND - in Isaiah 11:6 we read, "The wolf will lie down with the lamb. Infants will play near the hole of cobra and young children will put their hands into the viper’s nest. They will neither harm nor destroy on all My holy mountain."

And what the writer is using imagery there to convey is that I.Y.F.H. - peace will be FULLY realized…. (no more fighting in Iraq, Afghanistan or the west bank, no more soldiers going off to war…

NOW – I don’t know about you BUT when I consider, when I gaze through the door at my future home (a home guaranteed by a blood stained cross and the promise of God) – I start to get a little pumped up. AND – there’s still more…

UNDERSTAND – I.Y.F.H.

There Will Be No More…

Tears, death, sorrow, crying or pain… No more guilt no more shame… No cancer allowed. No funerals… No death, no dying, no disease… No more - divorces, separations or affairs.. no murders, thefts, gossip, slander, harsh words spoken, broken hearts, broken dreams, broken relationships, broken promises, or loneliness..

No more – unresolved anger, haunting memories or lifelong regrets because of sinful actions… No more – doctors, lawyers, prisons, hospitals, IRS, CIA, FBI, ACLU – no more light bulbs, guns, weapons or armies…. [Tim…] - those are some awesome no-mores...

OKAY – what I want you to do right now is to think about the things in life that… defeat you and really get you down… ARE YOU – bummed, depressed or freaked out about something right now? HEY - chances it’s a no more.... and it will not be IYFH

NEXT – your future home is going to be amazing… BECAUSE Of…

What IS Going To Be There

Saints of Old Will Be There…

Noah, Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, Moses, Joshua, David, Ruth, Esther, Daniel, Shad…, Peter, James, John, Paul, and Mary…(they are going to be there) Man – just think of the conversations that we will have…

Your Loved Ones Will Be There…

Husbands will be reunited wife’s.. Granted the nature of the relationship will change – BUT, Oh how sweet it will be… Fathers & Mothers will see their children who went to be with the Lord before they were even born… Grand parents will introduce themselves to their grandchildren who only knew them through pictures and stories… FRIENDS – an awesome reunion is coming…

Your New Body Will Be There…

LISTEN – in heaven we get a new body… And if we’re honest we’d have to admit that living in this body is not so great. Our earthly body gets tired, feels pain, gets sick, and with age; moves slower, sags, our eyes dims, our ears dull, our joints ache, our bones crack, and things falls out (hair & teeth)...

AND – if you think about it, most People are not really happy with their body any way. I MEAN - billions are spent every year to cover up, make up, lift up and change the flaws in our bodies. WELL - in heaven we won’t need to do that anymore because -- we get a new body, a better one, an eternal one; one that doesn’t get tired, feel pain, get sick, sag or fall out...

”Dear friends, now we are children of God, and what we will be has not yet been made known. But we know that when he appears, we shall be like him, for we shall see him as he is. 1 John 3:2

LISTEN - the day is coming, friends, when you will finally see Jesus as he really is, no distortions, no barriers. AND - He will be better than you can imagine, and listen – you won’t just see him. NO – there’s more to it than that… YOU SEE IYFH - you will turn to the Father, and point to Jesus, and say, "Make me look like that," AND - by the power that enables him to bring everything under his control, He will. will transform our lowly bodies so that they will be like his glorious body…

NOW – that is what I call an extreme makeover…

Our New Home Will Be There…

“In my Father’s house are many rooms; if it were not so, I would have told you. I am going there to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am..” - John 14:2,3

Here Jesus pictures heaven as a house, his Father’s house. Now we all know that what makes a home isn’t the size of the house, it’s not the color of the trim, the square footage, the condition of the yard, or the view.

NO - what makes a home is the people inside, the atmosphere. LISTEN - when Jesus pictures heaven as a home… HE’S - suggesting a place of comfort, security, companionship and good times.

QUESTION –Have you ever wished that there was a place where you fit, where you didn’t have to perform or pretend to be something that you’re not, a place that would accept you for who you are and not just for what you can do?

UNDERSTAND - Jesus is telling us that there is such a place, its our Father’s house.. AND – this new home is a place where you will belong, it’s a place that’s safe and secure, a place to kick off our shoes, let down your hair, and be yourself in the company of Jesus and the rest of God’s children. IMAGINE – living in a world/ in a home – where you ALWAYS – feel 100 %; loved, needed, accepted, valued, appreciated, respected and understood?

Unimaginable Wealth Will Be There…

In Revelation 21:18-21 – John describes a city of vast size with mind boggling wealth… the heavenly city is surrounded by high protective walls the foundations of which are made of precious stones. He says that the city is made of pure transparent Gold and jasper, even the streets are made of pure gold. John says that the 12 gates symbolic of the city’s access and openness are constructed of 12 large pearls.

UNDERSTAND - The new earth will surely put this one to shame (and God didn’t do half bad on this one). None will lack food or anything else… EVERY – bill will be paid, every pantry will be full and the only thing you will run out of is deposit slips for your I.R.A. (your incredible reality account…)

Your New Name Is There

UNDERSTAND - in heaven not only does God give you a new home, new world, new body & new life… BUT – He also gives you a new name.

Are your ears awake? Listen. Listen to the Wind Words, the Spirit blowing through the churches. I’ll give the sacred manna to every conqueror; I’ll also give a clear, smooth stone inscribed with your new name, your secret new name. Rev 2:17 (Msg) CIRCLE - your new name, your secret new name

Isn’t that awesome? God has saved a name just for you? One you don’t even know? LISTEN [Tim….] - your future is so promising it warrants a new title. The road ahead so bright that a fresh name is needed. Your eternity is so special no common name will do. YES – one day in heaven.…. God will call you over and whisper in your ear your new name… “This is how I see you, this is who you are… This is who you will be for all eternity…”

HEY – anyone here want to go to this new home?

NEXT – Y.F.H. is going to be awesome because…

HE - Will Be There…

Mark Moore writes…

We want to go there because he is there. He is there. This one we have talked about, sung to, read of, written for, he is waiting with outstretched arms and thee words. “Well done, good and faithful servant. Enter into the joy of your reward.” Yet I can’t help but think that one glimpse of his person will make all of our words irrelevant. He is so much grander than we have described, much more glorious than we have imagined. Our impulse will not be to embrace him as a buddy, but to fall at His feet awed, fearful, convulsing in the majesty of the moment. I suspect that it will only be His immense love that draws us to our feet to receive his presence.

[Tim…] – we are going to see God… WE – will be given eyes to behold what angels fear to look upon. AND – through Christ we will have the boldness and privilege to draw near…

YES – (Dorothy was right) there is no place like home… AND – we ARE going home! We ARE returning to the one IN WHOSE image we are made…

HIS RETURN - to the Father, w/o a doubt shaped and defined the life of Christ.

AND… HIS RETURN FOR US - is intended to do the same thing…

CS Lewis wrote in Mere Christianity

If you read history, you will find that the Christians who did the most for the present world were those who thought most of the next. The apostles themselves. Who set on foot the conversion of the Roman Empire, the great men who built up the Middle Ages, the English Evangelicals who abolished the slave trade, all left their mark on earth, precisely because their minds were occupied with heaven. IT – is since Christians have largely ceased to think of the other world that they have become so effective in this..

QUESTION… IS - His Return for you… defining and shaping your life? HAS IT, shaped and defined:

• What you do

• How you live

• What you value

UNDERSTAND – it is God’s intent that the return of His Son shapes and defines us as a people. IT – most definitely shaped and defined the disciples… AND – Jesus KNEW that it would.

Jesus is on the way to the garden. He is preparing for his death. He knows that his guys are afraid and freaking out… So, He says to them “Do not let your hearts be troubled trust in God, trust also in me…” Within hours He will be betrayed, handed over to men who will shove him, mock him, beat him and kill him. He knows that his guys will be facing the greatest challenge of their lives. SO – he tells them to trust in Him and not be troubled. QUESTION – what does Jesus give them as a basis for this trust? What does He promise as the source of their comfort.

NOW – at this moment, the night before his death, you might have expected Jesus to remind them of his coming resurrection…

“Don’t let your hearts be troubled. Trust in God. Trust in me also. Because in 3 days I will be out of the grave, triumhnat, defiant and on the loose.”

OR – you might have expected Jesus to give them a preview of what he was going to do in and through them…

“Don’t let your hearts be troubled. Trust in God. Trust in me also. Because when the Spiirt comes upon you in power: you are going to stand before kings and rulers. You will perform great miracles, beat back the forces of evil. And one day even the mighty Roman Empire will be gone and the church will be all over the earth…”

BUT THAT – is not what he promises them… INSTEAD – he says… In my Father’s house are many rooms

… I am going there to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am.

Jesus inspires them with heaven…

HEY – checkout these words from the pen of Paul;

Since you have been raised to new life with Christ, set your sights on the realities of heaven, where Christ sits at God’s right hand in the place of honor and power. Let heaven fill your thoughts. Do not think only about things down here on earth. For you died when Christ died, and your real life is hidden with Christ in God. And when Christ, who is your real life, is revealed to the whole world, you will share in all his glory.

– Colossians 3:1-4

CIRCLE - Let heaven fill your thoughts

LET – heaven fill your thoughts… LET – thought of going home:

• consume,

• inflame,

• carry

• change

• capture

• and motivate you…

We are citizens of heaven, where the Lord Jesus Christ lives. And we are eagerly waiting for him to return as our Savior. 21He will take these weak mortal bodies of ours and change them into glorious bodies like his own, using the same mighty power that he will use to conquer everything, everywhere. – Philippians 3:20,21
