Summary: An incouranging word that our GOD is in control.

God has a purpose for every problem!

• How many are here this morning that are experiencing some type of

• Problem, (let be honest this morning, lets be for real,)

• some sort of trouble,

• in some type of pain?

Isn’t it true? That all of us here today have come to Christ when we were * Experiencing problems, troubles, and pains?

• Lowest time in life

• Hurts, contemplating suicide.

I know I did! I had junk in my trunk!

All messed up, confused, troubled in my mind, problems in my home.

Didn’t understand! I came to a time in my life that I was searching for the Answer. Then one day….. Flyer

Jesus Is The Answer to all of our Problems, Troubles, and Pains. Come to me (Jesus) an I (Jesus) shall give you rest.

And I did! God answered my problem, healed my pain, and solved my troubles.

The message for today is not so much about the Problems we had before coming to Christ but the problems we will face as we walk with Christ.

*But a huge misconception about coming to Christ is that all things will become rosy, life will become problem less, no, no no!

Life will not be problem less because we are still on this Earth!

• not in heaven yet!

• The devil didn’t retire.

But now that we are in Christ, we can bring some heaven down to earth!

With Jesus in our lives, for the Bible says

Greater is he that is in me than the one of this world!

Help me Pray!

God has a purpose for every problem!

John 16:33

33 These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.

KJV

In the world ye shall have tribulation: Not might have, maybe. You will!

What is Tribulation? Its Synonym is: Misfortune, pain, trial, suffering, ordeal, difficulty, problems, troubles, distress.

What is a synonym? Others words that mean the same.

Knowledge is power! We are here to learn!

Prov 24:5

5 A wise man has great power, and a man of knowledge increases strength;

NIV

These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace

Bro. & Sis. When we first came to Christ, didn’t he give us

• Peace, make us complete, gave us a new life, new beginning,

• But Jesus then reminds us that were not in Heaven yet.

• In the world ye shall have tribulation:

but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.

How many of us will admit that we hear voices in our mind.

Voices that will influence our choices!

• the devil is real, he is a liar, he is constantly yapping in our mind.

• You know devil told me as I read this scripture.

• Good cheer!…..

• Jesus overcame, easy for him, he is God. You don’t walk on water.

• Jesus is not saying for us to be of good cheer about our problems,

• Im so great full to know the truth, to be able to recognize the lies of the enemy.

• Devil, I invited Jesus Christ into my life, opened the door to my heart, and he came in for he is with me. And because he is with me, I to shall over came my problems, and because of that I can be of good cheer.

God has a purpose for every problem!

A writer said it well ”It is the fire of suffering that brings forth the gold of Godliness.”

God used problems to get our attention, didn’t he? God will use our circumstances to develop our character, to shape us, to build us, to mold us.

To show us that he is GOD, and that he is in control.

But in order for God to use our Problems, troubles, and pains for his honor and Glory, it will depend on our personal relationship with Christ, our Faith, our honesty, and our commitment.

* Important come to Church- Faith comes by hearing…

• Important study the word of God- knowledge is power.

• The bible is the instruction book of how to react to the problem, how to face it, how to get through it, how to learn from it.

• Some today might be going through something and your tripping because even thou God intends to use it for the good, the devil and other mean it for the bad.

Then hear comes.. Voices that will influence our choices!

• god is not with you, no one cares, you were doing better on your own.

It is normal even Peter lets us know…

1 Peter 4:12-13

12 Dear friends, do not be surprised at the painful trial you are suffering, as though something strange were happening to you. 13 But rejoice that you participate in the sufferings of Christ, so that you may be overjoyed when his glory is revealed.

2 Cor 1:3-7

3 Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, 4 who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves have received from God. 5 For just as the sufferings of Christ flow over into our lives, so also through Christ our comfort overflows. 6 If we are distressed, it is for your comfort and salvation; if we are comforted, it is for your comfort, which produces in you patient endurance of the same sufferings we suffer. 7 And our hope for you is firm, because we know that just as you share in our sufferings, so also you share in our comfort.

NIV

Purpose behind every problem, Circumstances to develop our character.

Be like Jesus Christ in every way.

Troubles are Part of Gods growth process for our lives, no one immune to it, cant skate through life without it.

God uses problems to draw us closer to him. Isn’t it true that the reason we came to the lords feet was because of some problem trouble or pain? Doesn’t most people even ask God to help them when cops are behind them? Those locked up in jail.

Excepted Jesus

The time we will be closest to God is darkest days.

Broken, abandoned, out of options, pain is great, turn to god

Ps 34:18

8 The LORD is close to the brokenhearted

and saves those who are crushed in spirit.

NIV

. During this time no energy to just pray, but to speak to god from the heart, authentic,

With knowing about Jesus we might get by, quoting scripture, speaking of him, even imitating him,

but with out suffering we will not really know Jesus,

See we will learn things about God in suffering that we cant by reading or hearing about it.

*God could have kept Joseph out of jail,

• Daniel out of the lions den,

• Jeremiah from being tossed in slimy pit,

• Paul from being shipped wrecked,

• three Hebrew boys from being tossed into the furnance,

• but he didn’t. every one of those persons drew closer to god, why should we be exempt?

Problems force us to look at god and not at ourselves

Bro. & Sista even Accidents are just incidents in

Gods good plan for you and I

Rom 8:28-29

28 And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose. 29 For those God foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the likeness of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brothers.

NIV

Rom 8:28-29

28 And we know that God causes all things to work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose.

we know: God is in control!

that God causes: our life is not a mistake,

all things : God is involved in all we do, he sees everything, he knows everything, our sins, our mistakes, all things.

to work together : not separately, not independently, together! See all the events in our life work together for Gods plan.

for good : not all things are good in fact most are bad, evil, but God specializes in bringing out the good in every situation.

to those who love God, to those who are called: this promise is for us, not for all! yes everyone on earth will experience problems, troubles, and pains but this promise is for God’s Children, in fact we can say that all things work for the bad for those living opposite to God and insist on having their own way.

according to His purpose: What is that purpose? It is that we become like Jesus Christ. So everything that God allows to happen in our lives is for that purpose. To become like Jesus Christ. To build his characteristics in our lives,

29 For those whom He foreknew, He also predestined to become conformed to the image of His Son, ….NASU

Rom 5:1-5

5:1 Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, 2 through whom we have gained access by faith into this grace in which we now stand. And we rejoice in the hope of the glory of God. 3 Not only so, but we also rejoice in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; 4 perseverance, character; and character, hope. 5 And hope does not disappoint us, because God has poured out his love into our hearts by the Holy Spirit, whom he has given us.

NIV

Closing

God intends to make us like his son, and he will take us through the same experiences that Jesus went through. Loneliness, temptation, criticism, rejection, and even persecuted. If God allowed his son to go through this why wouldn’t he allow us.
