Summary: Speaking the Blessings of God over your life

Spoken Blessings. Spoken is the past principle of speak. In adjective form. It means to express with the mouth, uttered or untold.

God has spoken blessings over our lives. He has used Apostles, Prophets, Pastors, Evangelists and teachers to speak blessings over our lives.

If we read his word that contains his promises and oracles. We should apply them precept upon precept. Then we too can speak the blessings over our lives.

Deuteronomy 28: 1-14starting @ verse 1 talks about if you full obey the Lord and carefully follow his commands I give you today,

The Lord was speaking through his servant Moses from Mount Ebal. God’s blessings comes with conditions. If. They are conditional. There is a price to pay. The word says carefully! We must carefully do this thing. We must not stray to the left or lean to the right. Walk the Walk and Talk the Talk.

Isaiah 1:19 says If you are willing and obedient you will eat the best of the land. See you You must be obedient!

What does it mean to be obedient? To be obedient means to be submissive to authority. To follow orders.

1 Samuel 15:22 says, Does the Lord delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices as much as in obeying the voice of the Lord? To obey is better than sacrifice, and to heed is better than the fat of rams. For rebellion is like the sin of divination, and arrogance like the evil of idolatry. Samuel told Saul because you have rejected the word of the Lord, he has rejected you as king!

Samuel did not tell him that he had rejected the word of man or of a religion. But that he had rejected the word of God.

The word here is talking about being obedient to God. Not to man. Not to woman. Not to a group. Not to an organization and not to a religion but to God!

Some of us have not a problem following earthly directions but when it comes to divine direction we fall short. We are on time for Sunday School. We don’t miss meetings or studies, we organize and plan with no problem. But when it comes to obeying God in the privacy of our homes and in the secret things we have a form of Godliness but denying the power thereof. Just religious. But the Word says in order to be blessed we must be obedient to God first who is the author and finisher of our faith!

Stop crying out that you wan to blessed if you don’t want to be obedient!!!!

If we be obedient the Lord will bless us as Deuteronomy 28:1 says!

Turn to Deuteronomy 26:19. It reads he has declared that he will set you in praise, fame and honor high above all the nations he has made and that you will be a people holy to the Lord your God, as he promised.

God wants to exalt us! I feel like Jabez! 1 Chronicles 4:10 says, Jabez cried out to the God of Israel. Oh! That you would bless me and enlarge my territory! Let your hand be with me, and keep me from harm so that I will be free from pain! And God granted his request!

Some of us need to cry out to God and stop being so cute and deep! It is ok to cry out in prayer. It is ok to praise God! Stop worrying bout who is looking and whether they are going to think you did something or that something is wrong. When you get in a 911 situation. You will cry out to God bless me! It’s me O’lord standing in the need of prayer! You will be planted like a tree by the river of water! I shall not be moved! I will not be move until you bless me!!!

Jabez did like Jacob. Jacob was a most perseverant man in the Bible. In Genesis 32:24-28, Jacob said, “I will not let you go until bless me!

Dueteronomy 28:3 says, you will be blessed in the city and blessed in the field. Jacob was in the desert when he got his blessing. He wasn’t always blessed. But when he received the blessing he had a name change to Israel. See God will change your name. You might have been operating under the alias Jacob in disobedience but when you get the blessing God will call you Israel. A chosen people.

Philippians 4:19 says- “And my God shall supply all your needs according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.

God wants you to prosper. The devil wants you to operate in disobedience and not be blessed. John 1:10 says, “The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.

Jesus is saying that tonight Ladies. I am here to speak blessings over your lives. And when you get home you speak blessings and encourage yourselves!

Weeping may endure for a night. But Joy comes in the morning! You morning might not be like my morning. Oh but your morning will come!

Back to verse 3. Blessed in the City and blessed in the field. Genesis 39:5 talked about how the Lord was with Joseph and when he was put in jail and placed in charge of Potiphar’s household and all he owned. That the Lord blessed it because of Joseph. The blessing of the Lord was upon it. The blessing followed Joseph where ever he went and no matter what his situation or circumstance was.

Dueteronomy 28:6 says you will be blessed when you come in ad blessed when you go out! Let’s reference Psalms 121.

Some people thought Hezikah authored it by some says anonymous. It is a very relevant scripture. (Turn to it Read It).

v/s 8 – TheLord will watch over your coming and going both now and forevermore! The psalm expresses assurance and hope in God’s protection day and night. He not only made the hills but heaven and earth as well. We should never trust a lesser power than God himself. But not only is he all powerful, he also watches over us. Nothing diverts or deters him. We are safe. We never out grow our need for God’s untiring watch over our lives.

Turn to Numbers 6:22. The Lord said to Moses, Tell Aaron and his sons, This is how you are to bless the Israelites, say to them: The Lord bless you and keep you. The Lord make his face shine upon you and be gracious to you. The Lord turns his face toward you and give you peace. So I will put my name on the Israelites, and I will bless them.

That was a spoken blessing over the children of Israel.

A blessing was one way of asking for God’s divine favor to rest upon others. The ancient blessing in the verses of Numbers helps us to understand what a blessing was supposed to do. That particular blessings five parts conveyed hope that God would:

1. bless and keep them (favor and protection)

2. make his face shine upon them (be pleased)

3. be gracious to them (merciful and compassionate)

4. turn his face toward them (give his approval)

5. Give Peace!

When you ask God to bless others or yourself, you are asking him to do these five things! The blessing you offer will not only help the one receiving it, It will also demonstrate love, encourage others and provide a model of caring to others.

Psalm 112 speaks of advantages of having faith in God. God guards the minds and actions of those who follow his commands. (Turn to and read Psalm 112)

God wants to bless you. Deuteronomy 28:7 says the lord will grant that the enemies who rise up against you will be defeated before you. They will come at you in one direction but flee from you in seven.

Further it reads the Lord will send a blessing on your barns 9your house) and on everything you put your hand to. If you put your hand on it or your name on it will be blessed. The Lord will bless you in the land he is giving you.

Stop trying to establish yourself as chosen or holy. The Lord will establish you!! He will let people know who you are.

Just keep his commands and walk in his ways. You will have abundant prosperity. The Lord will open the heavens, the storehouse of his bounty, to send rain on your land in season and to bless all the work of your hands. You will lend too many nations but will not borrow from no.

You will be the head and not the tail. Above only and not beneath. The lender not the borrow. Ain’t God good!

I know you have been going through! I have been going through! But I am here to tell you something! You see It’s a smoke screen. Things really are not as they appear to be. It is a mirage. It looks like lack and a drought! Smells like lack! Tastes like lack. The bank account resembles lack. The storehouse seems empty. You seem like a curse. The enemy is talking. The haters are mocking. The nay sayers are laughing. Where is her God? Where is your God?

Oh! But the bible says in Psalm 23 – Yea though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death. I will fear no evil for thou. Thou art with me. The Lord. The Lord is my shepherd. I shall not want. Shall Not want. Be in any want. Spoken Blessings! Over my life. Spoken blessings over my children1 Spoken blessings over my business! Spoken blessings over my relationships! You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies. You anoint my head with oil, my cup over flows,
