Summary: unleashing the ability to help others succeed

SUCCESS MAKERS

(That’s who we are - Gen. 12:2)

BISHOP DAVID IBELEME

King makers are the people who "make, elect or decide" who the King will be.

They exist in many political organizations and in many societies.

Those who aspire for political success look to these people - they do everything not to offend them because they can also be "success takers".

By virtue of Rev. 1:5-6 and Rev. 5:10 - Jesus has made us Kings.

God is now looking for Success Makers not King Makers.

A Success Maker is one who "makes, elects and technically" identifies who should be successful.

King Makers decide while Success Makers identify. As for Success Makers:

They concentrate on the success of others.

They reprogram the mentality of losers and make them winners.

They are the "golden connections" that people need in order to succeed.

They know how to dig out the precious stone(s) in people out of the heaps of rubbish in their lives - Neh. 4:2.

They look beyond the wrong you’ve done and focus on the crown you’ve dunged in order to retrieve it and place it on your head.

Unlike King Makers, Success Makers are never a threat to your personal position or success.

They never compete with you for the success you desire. They don’t want your "crown".

Their primary job is to "help you" get your crown.

A Success Maker is not selfish - Phil. 2:3-4; Eph. 4:2; Gal. 6:2.

They create "success situations" for people.

They interpret the dreams of others.

God has called us to be Success Makers.

Joseph was a Success Maker - Gen. 39-45.

He made Potiphar succeed - Gen. 39:2-4.

He made the butler succeed - Gen. 40:9-14.

He made Pharoah succeed - Gen. 41:25.

He made his family (his father and brothers) succeed - Gen. 45:5-11.

Jacob was a Success Maker - Gen. 30:27-30.

He made Laban succeed

David was a Success Maker - 1 Sam. 17 & 22.

He made Saul succeed as King over Goliath.

He transformed the lives of a bunch of rejects, depressed and frustrated people

Look around you. What can you do now to be:

a) A more effective employee on your job?

b) A more loving husband/wife?

c) A more helpful friend?

d) A more reliable partner in business or in your department in Church?

Whose success are you making right now?

The Example of John the Baptist

He exemplifies "the Spirit of the Success Maker".

The Success Maker is a forerunner - Is. 40:1ff; Jn. 1:29-36.

He sees in you your "hidden" potentials.

He’ll encourage you to maximize your potential.

He’ll recommend you for promotion.

He’ll set you up for success. He’s a blessing to you - Gen. 12:2.

He’ll motivate and inspire you.

He’ll comfort you when you’re down.

He’ll extend to you mercy when you fail or fall.

Like John - Is. 40:3ff, He’ll ensure that

Every mountain becomes plain ground

Every valley is filled up

Every crooked road is made straight

Every rough road is smoothened.

Jesus however is the ultimate Success Maker.

He’s given us all we need to succeed - 2 Pet. 1:1-4.

He has also made you a Success Maker

Somebody is waiting for you to function as a Success Maker.

You are the miracle someone is waiting for.

Their success depends on you - Be a Success-Maker not a Success-Taker.

Think on these Scriptures:

"Withhold not good from them to whom it is due, when it is in the power of thine hand to do it." - Prov. 3:27.

"Render therefore to all their dues: tribute to whom tribute is due; custom to whom custom; fear to whom fear; honor to whom honor." - Rom. 13:7.

"Knowing that whatsoever good thing any man doeth, the same shall he receive of the Lord, whether he bond or free." - Eph. 6:8.

Whatever you make happen for others God will make happen for you.

A Success Maker is not selfish - Phil. 2:3-4; Eph. 4:2; Gal. 6:2.

It is a form of mediocrity to succeed alone - Rise to the place of excellence where you make or help others to succeed as well.

Remember - There is no success without a successor.

You are blessed to be a blessing - Gen. 12:2.

Prosperity is not an end but a means to it - Posterity is the end.
