Summary: How can a man be just with God? This is the question Job asked. What could the answer be?

Ever since the time that man fell in the garden, because of his sinful state, he could not have fellowship with God. You see, our God is a holy God. Therefore, sin cannot approach Him. Notice I didn’t say that He couldn’t come near sin. For too long we’ve looked at how sin defiles holiness. It’s time to turn the tables & realize that holiness despells sin.

In this passage we see Job. I’m sure we all know the story...

Job 1:14-19

14 And there came a messenger unto Job, and said, The oxen were plowing, and the asses feeding beside them:

15 And the Sabeans fell upon them, and took them away; yea, they have slain the servants with the edge of the sword; and I only am escaped alone to tell thee.

16 While he was yet speaking, there came also another, and said, The fire of God is fallen from heaven, and hath burned up the sheep, and the servants, and consumed them; and I only am escaped alone to tell thee.

17 While he was yet speaking, there came also another, and said, The Chaldeans made out three bands, and fell upon the camels, and have carried them away, yea, and slain the servants with the edge of the sword; and I only am escaped alone to tell thee.

18 While he was yet speaking, there came also another, and said, Thy sons and thy daughters were eating and drinking wine in their eldest brother’s house:

19 And, behold, there came a great wind from the wilderness, and smote the four corners of the house, and it fell upon the young men, and they are dead; and I only am escaped alone to tell thee.(KJV)

Then, to make a long story short, we see Job covered with boils; he lost everything; then his 3 friends show up to encourage him.

These 3 men were telling him how much of a sinner he was & how God was judging him for his sin. There wasn’t an ounce of hope in their words.

Then Job says, I know God hates sin, but there must be a way for a man to be just before God. Then he says...

Job 9:32-33

32 For he is not a man, as I am, that I should answer him, and we should come together in judgment.

33 Neither is there any daysman betwixt us, that might lay his hand upon us both.(KJV)

In other words, "he’s not a man like me & I can’t stand in His presence because He’s holy & I’m not. If only there were a daysman (advocate) or someone to plead my case."

He had no advocate! He had no one to plead his case!

But I thank God that today I can read in the scripture

Luke 2:11

11 For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord.(KJV)

I can also read...

1 Tim 2:5

5 For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus;(KJV)

I’ve found the Daysman!

I’ve found the Mediator! Someone to stand between me & God!

Then we can read in

Rom 5:1-11

1 Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ:

2 By whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God.

3 And not only so, but we glory in tribulations also: knowing that tribulation worketh patience;

4 And patience, experience; and experience, hope:

5 And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us.

6 For when we were yet without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly.

7 For scarcely for a righteous man will one die: yet peradventure for a good man some would even dare to die.

8 But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.

9 Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him.

10 For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life.

11 And not only so, but we also joy in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom we have now received the atonement.(KJV)

We are now justified by faith, but it is only through the Blood of Christ.

Whom He Justifies He Sanctifies. Whom He Sanctifies He Glorifies.

In other words, I’ve been made a child of God, "& if children then heirs; heirs of God & joint heirs with Jesus."

You mean I can just enjoy the blessings of God & not have to face any hardships.

No!!! Not by a long shot! (vs.3)

We’re going to face tribulations whether we like it or not. Paul said, "we glory in tribulation..."

But you know, it’s always at those times, when everything around us is caving in, that the devil will come in and say, "You don’t have anything." "Curse God & die."

In a sense he’s saying, "file for spiritual bankruptcy. File Chapter 11."

That’s when you need to check & see what the Law Book has to say about Chapter 11.

Matt 11:1-6

11 And it came to pass, when Jesus had made an end of commanding his twelve disciples, he departed thence to teach and to preach in their cities.

2 Now when John had heard in the prison the works of Christ, he sent two of his disciples,

3 And said unto him, Art thou he that should come, or do we look for another?

4 Jesus answered and said unto them, Go and shew John again those things which ye do hear and see:

5 The blind receive their sight, and the lame walk, the lepers are cleansed, and the deaf hear, the dead are raised up, and the poor have the gospel preached to them.

6 And blessed is he, whosoever shall not be offended in me.(KJV)

Mark 11:22-23

22 And Jesus answering saith unto them, Have faith in God.

23 For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith.(KJV)

Luke 11:9-10

9 And I say unto you, Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you.

10 For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened.(KJV)

John 11:25

25 Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live:(KJV)

Acts 11:15

15 And as I began to speak, the Holy Ghost fell on them, as on us at the beginning.(KJV)

Rom 11:33

33 O the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God! how unsearchable are his judgments, and his ways past finding out!

(KJV)

1 Cor 11:24-25

24 And when he had given thanks, he brake it, and said, Take, eat: this is my body, which is broken for you: this do in remembrance of me.

25 After the same manner also he took the cup, when he had supped, saying, This cup is the new testament in my blood: this do ye, as oft as ye drink it, in remembrance of me.(KJV)

2 Cor 11:23-30

23 Are they ministers of Christ? (I speak as a fool) I am more; in labours more abundant, in stripes above measure, in prisons more frequent, in deaths oft.

24 Of the Jews five times received I forty stripes save one.

25 Thrice was I beaten with rods, once was I stoned, thrice I suffered shipwreck, a night and a day I have been in the deep;

26 In journeyings often, in perils of waters, in perils of robbers, in perils by mine own countrymen, in perils by the heathen, in perils in the city, in perils in the wilderness, in perils in the sea, in perils among false brethren;

27 In weariness and painfulness, in watchings often, in hunger and thirst, in fastings often, in cold and nakedness.

28 Beside those things that are without, that which cometh upon me daily, the care of all the churches.

29 Who is weak, and I am not weak? who is offended, and I burn not?

30 If I must needs glory, I will glory of the things which concern mine infirmities.(KJV)

Hebrews 11 (read)

Then in Rev. 11 the anti-christ is in control. Two witnesses show up on the scene. The anti-christ has them killed. Their bodies are left out as a public example. three & one half days later the spirit of life comes in them & they’re translated. Then an earthquake hits Jerusalem. Then someone shouts...

Rev 11:15

...The kingdoms of this world are become the kingdoms of our Lord, and of his Christ; and he shall reign for ever and ever.(KJV)

I’M NOT BANKRUPT!!!

I’M JUSTIFIED BY THE BLOOD OF THE LAMB!!!

(Close)

When the devil comes, & the perils of life come, look through your tears & shout...

"I know whom I have believed, & I’m persuaded that He is able to keep that which I’ve committed unto Him against that day."

I am Justified which only comes through the Blood of Jesus!
