God has the ability, and we have the ability through Him.

I. He Is Able To Save.

A. Hebrews 7:25 - Wherefore he is able also to save them to the uttermost that come unto God by him, seeing he ever liveth to make intercession for them.

1. He is able to save those who approach God through Him.

B. This text speaks primarily of His high priest work. It declares His ability to atone for us and to protect us.

II. He Is Able To Keep Us From Falling.

A. Jude 1:24 - Now unto Him that is able to keep you from falling, and to present you faultless before the presence of his glory with exceeding joy.

1. He is able to keep you from slipping.

B. Judas’ fall (Acts 1:25)

C. 1 Corinthians 10:12 - Wherefore let him that thinketh he standeth take heed lest he fall.

D. 2 Peter 1:10 - If ye do these things, ye shall never fall.

III. He Is Able To Build Us Up.

A. Paul commended the brethren to God and said that He "is able to build you up". (Acts 20:32)

B. The devil tries to tear us down, but God builds us up in Him.

IV. He Is Able to Make Us Stand.

A. "God is able to make [us]...stand." (Romans 14:4)

B. We are not to judge the weak ones; however, the should know that despite all hindrances, God is Able.

C. He doesn’t force us, but He gives so much grace that we literally are made to stand.

D. He gives us an armor (Ephesians 6:10-12)

V. He Is Able To Succour. ( assistance or help in time of distress; relief - to be useful)

A. Hebrews 2:18 - For in that he himself hath suffered being tempted, he is able to succour them that are tempted.

B. He has gone before us, and He knows how to help us.

C. We are all tempted, but Christ can help us overcome.

D. He stood it all, therefore He is able to succor the tempted. (1 Corinthians 10:13)

VI. He Is Able To Make All Grace Abound.

A. 2 Corinthians 9:8 - God is able to make all grace abound toward you, that ye, always having all sufficiency in all things, may abound to every good work.

B. Romans 5:20 - Where sin abounded, grace did much more abound.

C. Grace abounds so that we may abound in every good work.

VII. He Is Able To Do The Exceeding.

A. Ephesians 3:20 - Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think.

B. Our minds can imagine alot, but God can do above all tha we can ask or think. It is, however, according to the power that worketh in us.

VIII. He Is Able To Perform.

A. Romans 4:20,21 - He staggered not at the promise of God through unbelief; but was strong in faith, giving glory to God; and being fully persuaded that what he had promised, he was able to perform.

B. What Faith! What unstaggering belief in God’s promise!

C. This has been proven over and over again in the Word of God.

IX. We Are Able.

A. God gives us strength and power to do things, but only through Christ!

B. John 15:5 - Without me ye can do nothing

C. Philippians 4:13 - I can do all things through Christ...

D. Mark 9:23 - All things are possible to him that believeth.

X. We Are Able To Possess And Overcome the Land.

A. Numbers 13:30 - Caleb said, "Let us go up at once, and possess it; for we are well able to overcome it.

B. v.31 - The ten spies said, "We be not able to go up against the people; for they are stronger

C. We can do, if we try. We can overcome any and all circumstances, if He is our strength.

XI. We Are Able To Bear Temptation.

A. 1 Corinthians 10:13 - There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common th man; but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation, also make a way of escape, that ye may be able to bear it.

B. We are able to bear temptation because God puts a limit on each trial.

XII. We Are Able To Stand Against The Devil.

A. Ephesians 6:11 - Put on the whole armour of God, that ye might be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.

B. v.13 - Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the day of evil, and having done all, to stand.

C. We must prepare for trials. The whole armour is necessary.

XIII. We Are Able To Comprehend.

A. Ephesians 3:17,18,19 - That ye...may be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the breadth, and length, and depth, and height.

And to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fullness of God.

B. With God’s ability and our ability through Him, nothing is impossible to the people of God.

Conclusion:

When we fully trust our Lord, He will fully trust us.
