(1) Secure! (Justification) Security! Sealed! Protected! Assurance! NOTHING can separate! Guarantee! Preserved! Approved! Owned! “NOT GUILTY!” BRANDED LIKE COW! Dispute over ownership? BRAND settles it!
How? READ Ephesians 1:13-14 Nothing can do to EARN it and nothing can do to LOSE it! IF you’ve heard GOSPEL & believe, your SALVATION guaranteed! Once BORN AGAIN…CANNOT die again! SALVATION=done by God, thru sacrifice of JC, by convicting & transforming of HS!
(2-4) Free from the power of sin! Sinful nature still there! Flesh NOT go away! Old Car in garage!
Ref: Galatians 4:1-7, Philippians 2:7-8 God sacrificed His Son to end sin’s control over us! Power is NOT in you, but in the HS IN you, b/c what Cx did on cross!
(5-8) Set apart! BATTLE!!! Diabolically opposing…Flesh vs. Holy Spirit (Sanctification) Old Fleshly Nature vs. New Heart!

Actively…Yield Control! Submit Will! He leads, we follow! Bully vs. Big Bro
How HS sanctify us??? He’s always there; indwells us; partners with us; seals us; consecrates us; talks to us; searches our hearts; shows us what we need to change; empowers us; gives us abilities to do things we need to do; regenerates us; leads us; guides us; shows us TRUTH (about ourselves, life, relationships, God, His Word, our path); teaches us; counsels us; helps us; fills us; controls us; correct us; convicts us; quickens us; changes us and gives us gifts to help each other and put the Body of Christ together!
(9-11) Made right with God in Christ! (Trinity @ WORK!) HS woos us to Jesus! Finishing Work started by Cx! Initiator! Completor! NOT mysterious, faceless member of the Trinity! PERSON! Behind the scenes! Pointing us to Jesus! ONLY JESUS SAVES!
Theologian J.I. Packer…“…think of it this way. It is as if the Spirit stands behind us, throwing light over our shoulder on to Jesus who stands facing us. The Spirit’s message to us is never, "Look at me; listen to me; come to me; get to know me", but always, "Look at him, and see his glory; listen to him and hear his word; go to him and have life; get to know him and taste his gift of joy and peace." The Spirit, we might say, is the matchmaker, the celestial marriage broker, whose role it is to bring us and Christ together and ensure that we stay together.”

(11-13) Given the very LIFE of God! If HS can raise Jesus from dead, can bring us back to life!
No Obligation=Can Resist Wrong & Do Right! Turn from Destructive to what is GOOD! No obligation to do wrong, VERY OBLIGATED to do right! Being DEPENDENT and ACTIVE @ same time!
Creator of Universe, Almighty God, resides IN us! Do u understand the POWER available to you thru indwelling of HS?

Paul’s day: huge privilege. Adopted=higher place in family than natural. Irreversible. Permanent.
NOT just God’s friends! NOT just saved from Hell! We = SONS of God! Daughters of The King! NOT slaves! (God NOT Task Master!)

HS is a person! Seek Him! Ask for Him! Be filled with Him! Follow Him! Depend on Him! Yield to Him! Abide in Him! MOMENT BY MOMENT!
Does NOT mean: always happy, no pain or struggles, won’t sin, or the Fruit of the Spirit show up instantly! After salvation, SANCTIFICATION is a process! A journey!
NOT LET GO & LET GOD!!! It’s a REAL life! A PRACTICAL life! Believe He will empower and lead you into truth, then yield, trust and step out and PARTNER with Him! HIS POWER…OUR DECISION!
