Satan Returns To Meet His Doom

Revelation 20: 7-10

This is one of those scripture passages that make you wonder, “God, why did You do that? You had him locked up where he couldn’t bother anyone and You let him go, Why?

Well, there are a couple of reasons why God will release Satan and allow him access to the human population again.

1. Satan will be set free so that he can tempt mankind, just as he does today and always has. Man must be able to see what is in his heart. People will have the same “free will” that you and I have today. Just like you and I must come to the conclusion that we need a personal relationship with Christ, so it will be in those days. There will be no free ride to heaven, just because you survived the worst tribulation and war known to man.

The sad news is, when you look at this passage you will see that apparently even after all they have been through and seen, most will choose Satan.

2. When people turn to Satan so readily and oppose God so easily, they will have no excuse and will be able to say nothing when the righteous judgment of God falls on them.

God’s justice will be vindicated in the end.

Vs.7, 8 Satan is released and — he finds a nice retirement village and retires —take a few months off —immediately begins to deceive the nations.

You may be asking the question, “Were not all of the nations destroyed during Armageddon?” Scripture says “NO”

Scripture:

Is. 66: 15-16, 19 For behold, the LORD will come with fire And with His chariots, like a whirlwind, To render His anger with fury, And His rebuke with flames of fire.

For by fire and by His sword The LORD will judge all flesh; And the slain of the LORD shall be many.

I will set a sign among them; and those among them who escape I will send to the nations: [to] Tarshish and Pul and Lud, who draw the bow, and Tubal and Javan, [to] the coastlands afar off who have not heard My fame nor seen My glory. And they shall declare My glory among the Gentiles.

Zech. 14:16-19 And it shall come to pass [that] everyone who is left of all the nations which came against Jerusalem shall go up from year to year to worship the King, the LORD of hosts, and to keep the Feast of Tabernacles.

And it shall be [that] whichever of the families of the earth do not come up to Jerusalem to worship the King, the LORD of hosts, on them there will be no rain.

If the family of Egypt will not come up and enter in, they [shall have] no [rain]; they shall receive the plague with which the LORD strikes the nations who do not come up to keep the Feast of Tabernacles.

This shall be the punishment of Egypt and the punishment of all the nations that do not come up to keep the Feast of Tabernacles.

There will be many whose hearts will still not belong to Christ and Satan will fool them into thinking that he has all the answers. Hmm that sounds kind of familiar…

We need to understand, at this point, Jesus is actually living in Jerusalem, where He sits on the throne as King. All of the saints are gathered there with Him, yet all around them there is deceit and scheming going on. Satan is planning another attack. Jed Clampet would say, “Weeell dooogy!!” Because this sounds familiar to…

Many will see Jesus as the King of kings. Many will see Him as just another ruler. They will only see another kingdom to conquer because Satan has blinded them to the truth of who Jesus really is. The rulers of the remaining nations [Gog] explain as well as the people of those nations [Magog] explain will rise up and surround the saint and their King, for what hey believe will be one final battle and victory over Jesus.

Here is how the New Living Translation reads verses 8-9

“He will go out to deceive the nations from every corner of the earth, which are called Gog and Magog. He will gather them together for battle--a mighty host, as numberless as sand along the shore.

And I saw them as they went up on the broad plain of the earth and surrounded God’s people and the beloved city. But fire from heaven came down on the attacking armies and consumed them.”

Vs. 9-10 The last of the armies will be destroyed and Satan will be condemned

for another 1000 years 10,000 years FOREVER!!!!!

Notice that there will be no battle fought.

How will the God destroy those who come against the saint and His son Jesus? [look at verse 9]

world wide flood avalanche fire will rain down out of heaven and devour them.
