Summary: A simple message and to the point. Great word to bring edification to the whole body.

Having Gladness and Thanksgiving Psalm 100:1-5

1 Make a joyful shout to the LORD, all you lands! 2 Serve the LORD with gladness; Come before His presence with singing. 3 Know that the LORD, He is God; It is He who has made us, and not we ourselves; We are His people and the sheep of His pasture. 4 Enter into His gates with thanksgiving, And into His courts with praise. Be thankful to Him, and bless His name. 5 For the LORD is good; His mercy is everlasting, And His truth endures to all generations.

Vs. 1 Make a joyful shout... Praise and Thanksgiving- 1. It’s intentional.

An older man approached a little boy, and his mom, and gave the little boy and orange. The mother said, “What do you tell this man?” The little boy said, “Aren’t you going to peel it?” That’s the way we are, many times, we want Christ to do everything- we aren’t thankful.

Even David said in Psalm 34 I will bless the Lord at all times...

Vs.1... all you lands! 2. It’s a call.

In Matthew 28 Just as Jesus commanded us to make disciple of men, He has commissioned us to praise!

Vs. 2 Serve the LORD... 3. It’s service. (It’s our Spiritual duty.)

Vs. 2... with gladness...4. It’s joyful.

Vs. 3 Know that the LORD, He is God; It is He who has made us, and not we ourselves; We are His people and the sheep of His pasture. 5. It proves His deity.

Vs. 4 Enter into His gates with thanksgiving, 6. He’s the gateway to thanksgiving.

Christ is the way, and He’s the door, (or gateway) to the Father. (There’s no other way to the Father.)

Vs. 5 For the LORD is good; 7. He’s final. The Lord is... (What isn’t He?)

Vs.5 ... His mercy is everlasting, And His truth endures to all generations. 8. His truth never changes.

Political views change, people change; however, Christ doesn’t.

Prayer.
