Summary: For hundreds of years America has been the recipients of God’s blessing and favor

Why Islamic Terrorists Hate America Part 1 of 2

Introduction:

A The U.S. has 3 main documents that forms the basis of her democracy: Declaration of Independence, Bill of Rights, Constitution.

1 According to former President Harry Truman they are all based on the Holy Bible.

a The Torah, Isaiah, & The Gospels specifically speaking.

b Our laws are simply a refined form of laws/concepts recorded in the Scriptures.

c The Law God gave ancient Israel, Words that formed a covenant w/ the Hebrew people as His chosen people.

2 There was interesting promise that God gave Israel in Deut. 28.1-2

a If they obeyed His words= blessing, prosperity, provision, protection, enemies would be kept at bay, win your wars, head not the tail, lender not the borrower, etc.

b If they disobeyed His words the opposite would be true.

B Because our founding documents are based on the principles of God’s Word, God requires us to abide/live according to the revelation of God’s Word.

1 For hundreds of years we as a nation have been the recipients of God’s blessing & favor.

a For many years the Bible/ Prayer were apart of daily school programs.

b The name of Jesus was revered & even “sinners” had a respect for the local church & ministers.

c During this time America rose to world prominence (if not dominance.)

aa We become the most prosperous nation, powerful military, feed the world, leader in technology, lender & leader in business & finances.

bb We have walked in blessing, favor, protection.

d Something has changed.

2 Recently our own President announced in a speech in the Middle East that America was not a Christian nation.

a Last month, a judge in KY struck down a 2006 state law that required the Kentucky office of Homeland Security to stress “dependence on Almighty God as being vital to the security of the common wealth.”

aa Edwin Kagin, a Boone County lawyer/ National Legal director for the American Atheists was happy about it.

bb He said, “I think we all feel a little safer now. The real threats to our society come from within, not without, and that includes building a theocracy here in Kentucky.”

b This week, the Supreme Court heard arguments on the constitutionality of an 8 ft iron cross that was erected in the 1930’s by the VFW to memorize American Soldiers who died in WWI. (Soldiers honoring Soldiers)

aa A few years ago, the VFW had to put a plywood box over the cross.

bb This is an extreme example of what has been going on for 30 years.

c We have . . .

aa Removed Bible reading & prayer from school,

bb Legalized abortion & allowed tax money to pay for it.

cc Permitted the gay lifestyle to be accepted, promoted, & protected.

dd Allowed Christian symbols to be taken down

cc Prohibited our children from singing Silent Night, Away in a Manger at the Christmas programs.

d It as if we are shoving our unbelief in the face of God.

C Because I believe America & Israel are spiritually linked by the Word of God & by specific patterns.

1 There are three things we should know about our link with Israel.

a The same promises given to Israel apply to us.

b The same warnings given to Israel apply to us.

c The same judgements given to Israel apply to us.

2 This morning, I am going to teach you our history as a nation is a mirror of ancient Israel’s history. Near the end of the message I’ll set up next weeks message on the reason why Apocalyptic Muslims are determined to wipe Christians & Jews off the planet.

I There are patterns in Israel’s history & the early history of America.

A Let me reveal what some of these patters are.

1 Both nations came out of other nations.

a Israel came out of 400 years of Egyptian bondage to reclaim the promised land, crossed over the Red Sea to get it.

b America came out of England to form the USA, crossed the Atlantic.

c Daniel 7.4

2 Both nations had to take the land from the natives who lived among them.

a Israelites removed the heathen tribes to build their community.

b Early Americans often removed Native American tribes to build their own towns & communities.

3 Both nations documents are based on the Scriptures.

4 Both nations had the #13 linked to their early history.

a Israel had 13 tribes (incld. the Tribe of Levi) when they entered promised land.

b America was formed w/ 13 colonies . . . populated the nation.

c Dollar bill reflects this too!

aa 13 steps on the Pyramid (Picture)

bb Eagle Seal: 13 bars, 13 leaves, 13 arrows, 13 letters in Latin (One nation from many people), 13 stars . . . form the Star of David. (Picture)

5 In the early beginnings of Israel, she did not have a King or capital.

a Judges 21.25; In those days there was no king in Israel; everyone did what was right in his own eyes. Judges 21:25 (NASB)

aa It wasn’t until many years after Joshua died that Israel asked for a king & got Saul.

b For many years America’s 13 colonies had no national leader, not until the formation of the U.S.

6 During the reign of Israel second king (David), the stronghold of Jebus was seized by the conquering king (David) and called “The City of David” after the King who liberated it. (Later named Jerusalem)

a A city of itself, didn’t belong to any tribe.

b After America signed it’s founding documents, a President named George Washington was selected and a new capital was called Washington.

aa Washington DC does not belong to state; it is city to itself.

c Israel was divided into northern & southern kingdoms; America was divided into North & South during the American Civil War.

7 May 14, 1948, in one day, after a British mandate expired at midnight, Israel, after having her people scattered for nearly 19 centuries, was birthed into a nation in one day!!!

a On May 14, 1607, the first colony was formed in America.

b God has marked this nation as a chosen nation just as He did ancient Israel as His chosen people!!

B After many years of Israel being settled, established as a nation, constructed their temple, they had a major conflict w/ Babylonians (Modern day Iraq)

1 These invaders terrorized the Jews, burned their homes, seized their money/destroyed their economy & destroyed their temple.

2 After hundreds of years of living in security, Americans were attacked by Islamic fanatics from the same area of the Middle East where Ancient Babylonians once ruled.

a In 1993, a Muslim sniper opened fire on the CIA complex in Langley, VA, killing two CIA employees and injuring three others. That same year, a car bomb was planted in the garage under the World Trade Center.

b In 1995, a car bomb in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia killed five Americans.

c In 1996, Hezbollah bombed the U.S. military complex in Riyadh, killing 19 Americans and injuring hundreds more.

d In 1998, Al Qaeda bombed the U.S. Embassies in both Nairobi, Kenya and Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, killing a total of 223 people and injuring over 4,000.

e In 2000, Al Qaeda bombed the USS Cole harbored in Aden, Yemen, killing 17 U.S. sailors and injuring 39.

f In 2001, they destroyed the World Trade Center, killing 3,000 civilians, and attacked the U.S. Pentagon.

3 Last month, a 24 year man, w/ ties to Al Qaeda was indicted on gathering materials to make & explode a weapon of mass destruction.

C Why do the Islamic Terrorists hate the U.S. so much.
