Summary: This message reminds of the immeasurable sufferings of our Lord for our sins.

Introduction: The Crown of Thorns are a depiction of evil mankind at its worse. There was no need for man to reach such an extreme amid all the other disgusting things that they had already did to Our Lord. In our text, we will look at the many things the bible says about thorns and thier significance throughout scriptures:

Adam obeyed Eve instead of God.

V. THORNS WILL CHOKE THOSE WHO ARE NOT DEEPLY ROOTED IN THE WORD.

VI. CONSTANT AGITATION OF THORNS.

VII. THE SWAPPING OF THE CROWNS. HE WORE OUR CROWN SO WE COULD WEAR HIS.

Conclusion: I have no right to wear a “Crown of Gold”, while my Lord wore a “Crown of Thorns.”
