THE SOLDIER OF JESUS CHRIST
Titus 2
1But speak thou the things which become sound doctrine:
2That the aged men be sober, grave, temperate, sound in faith, in charity, in patience.
3The aged women likewise, that they be in behaviour as becometh holiness, not false accusers, not given to much wine, teachers of good things;
4That they may teach the young women to be sober, to love their husbands, to love their children,
Be a good troop do as the commander says . The war is on in its final stages.
This is the devils last round up ,so he is trying hard to keep what he has.
Paul clearly warned young Timothy that serving Christ was a real war.
1st Timothy 1:18 This charge I commit unto thee, son Timothy, according to the prophecies which went before on thee, that thou by them mightest war a good warfare;
A. Requires trust ( verse:1)
Confidence in stability of his country.
Credibility to stand solid behind their commitment.
Compensation sufficient to meet you credit.
B. Rewards the people you teach. (verse 2)
Your principle is right in attitude and actions.
Your precepts are right as you help others
Your personal interest will be helpful.
C. Receives planned training. (verse 3)
Dedication so you can get in shape.
Rugged defense in preparation to face the battle.
Ready to take your country out of the hands of the enemy.
D. Recommends a proven testimony (verse 4)
Discipline --you learn respect and authority
Distinction -- you can tell a god solider easy.
Dignity -- represents a place, people, purpose.
E. Renown person in charge
Christ is the captain of our Salvation
Charge is given to follow his instructions.
Call is out to enlist today.
Hebrews 3:7 Wherefore (as the Holy Ghost saith, To day if ye will hear his voice,
Isaiah 1:18 Come now, and let us reason together, saith the LORD: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool.
