Summary: Live according to the power of God.

Ephesians 4:25-28 Therefore each of you must put off falsehood and speak truthfully to his neighbor, for we are all members of one body. In your anger do not sin. Do not let the sun go down while you are still angry, and do not give the devil a foothold. He who has been stealing must steal no longer, but must work, doing something useful with his own hands, that he may have something to share with those in need. (NIV)

LIVING MY LIFE UNDER GODS CONTROL:

1. I Must Control My Words! Vs. 25 Therefore each of you must put off falsehood and speak truthfully to his neighbor, for we are all members of one body.

It begins by putting off Falsehoods lie, false and factiousness.

Ephesians 4:15 Instead, we will speak the truth in love, growing in every way more and more like Christ, who is the head of his body, the church. (NLT)

Speaking the truth in Love is a continual action.

When we conceal the truth it will always cause problems in relationship and build resentment, bitterness and mistrust.

James 3:5 In the same way, the tongue is a small thing that makes grand speeches. But a tiny spark can set a great forest on fire. (NLT)

We must be careful with our words always speaking them in love for they can produce great trust or great distrust.

2. I Must Control My Anger! Vs. 26-27 In your anger do not sin. Do not let the sun go down while you are still angry, and do not give the devil a foothold.

Aristotle - "Anyone can become angry; that is easy. But to be angry with the right person, to the right degree, at the right time, for the right purpose, in the right way this is not easy"

ANGER BEGINS INTERNALLY NOT EXTERNALLY.

When your anger is internal you get bitterness when you release it outward it becomes violent.

ANGER IS AN EMOTION THAT CAN BE CONTROLLED!

Proverbs 16:32 Patience is better than strength. Controlling your temper is better than capturing a city. (NCV)

You have a choice: How will you express your anger?

Proverbs 22:24-25 Dont make friends with quick-tempered people or spend time with those who have bad tempers. If you do, you will be like them. Then you will be in real danger. (NCV)

ONLY A FOOL GIVES FULL VENT TO HIS ANGER.

Proverbs 29:11 Foolish people lose their tempers, but wise people control theirs. (NCV)

We must always deal with our anger quickly. Vs. 26 Do not let the sun go down while you are still angry.

NEVER GIVE SATAN A FOOTHOLD IN YOUR ANGER!

Vs. 27 and do not give the devil a foothold.

James 4:7-8 Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. Come near to God and he will come near to you. (NIV)

You have a choice: you can let God rule in your anger or Satan.

IMAGINE NEVER HAVING TO SAY, I WISH I COULD TAKE THAT BACK!
