Rev. #68~19:10-21 ARMAGEDDON 8-28-10
I mentioned awhile back that in this book we find the Revelation of Jesus Christ, every thing that’s found in this book must come to pass exactly as it is written in this book, you might think of each and every happening in the book as being another step toward Him being revealed.
I once heard a man make the statement that Jesus might walk in the door just any time, well we know that that would be impossible because His revealing is not prophesied in such a manner.
That would be contrary to what His written Word says, He has a divine plan and His plan is right on schedule, you or I might change our mind about any number of things but He will go by the book.
Every thing that we have already read about up to this point must come to pass before He will return, the rapture in chapter 4: must happen before He can return to the earth with His Church, the Antichrist must be seen in chapter 6: as he heads up the revived Roman Empire, all the plagues we’ve read about will come to pass before He can return, some one might say thay God is God and He can do what ever He so desires, there’s a couple of things that God can’t do and one is He can’t lie,
Numbers 23:19 God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it? or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good?
Ø And of coarse God can’t die.
Psalm 90:1-2 Lord, thou hast been our dwelling place in all generations. 2Before the mountains were brought forth, or ever thou hadst formed the earth and the world, even from everlasting to everlasting, thou art God.
Thousands of years has passed, Gods Prophetic Calendar has turned the pages many times and now at last the event that all creation has been yeaning for has suddenly come to pass.
Romans 8:18-23 For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us.
19For the earnest expectation of the creature**(same Greek word for creation) waiteth for the manifestation of the sons of God.
20For the creature was made subject to vanity, not willingly, but by reason of him who hath subjected the same in hope,
21Because the creature itself also shall be delivered from the bondage of corruption into the glorious liberty of the children of God.
22For we know that the whole creation groaneth and travaileth in pain together until now.
23And not only they, but ourselves also, which have the firstfruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, waiting for the adoption, to wit, the redemption of our body.
The O.T. was pointing to Him coming to earth and being a Great Conquer and Ruler, the 1st mention of Him was in Gen.3:15** ,it also tells of where He would be born in Micah 5:2, it tells of Him being humiliated and His crucified in PS.22:-Isaiah 53:, but the O.T. writers never knew that there was to be a N.T.Church, although in Hosea we read about the 2000 years the Lord would be gone from them.----we believe that about 2000 years thereabout will be the extent of the church age.
Ø Let me read you that in Hosea;
Hosea 6:1-2 Come, and let us return*** unto the LORD: for he hath torn***, and he will heal us; he hath smitten, and he will bind us up. 2After two days**(2 thousand years.) will he revive us:** in the third day***(1 thousand year reign of Christ) he will raise us up, and we shall live in his sight.*** He will see them and they shall see Him.
Peter said in
2 Peter 3:8 But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.
Psalm 90:4 For a thousand years in thy sight are but as yesterday when it is past, and as a watch in the night.

In the 4 gospels we read about His birth,(LUKE-MATT.) MUCH ABOUT His life, we’re told of many miracles that He worked although I’m sure there were many- many more.
John 21:25 And there are also many other things which Jesus did, the which, if they should be written every one, I suppose that even the world itself could not contain the books that should be written. Amen.
In the gospels we’re told about His humiliation, rejection, suffering, death, resurrection and His ascension, Paul tells us abut Him coming back to earth again, about the rapture.
But here in our text today Rev.19:, we told about His return and that it is one of triumph, glory, power, sovereignty and dominion.
This is the most important occurrence in all of history, for here we see the Son of God in glory and the end of all demonic and human rebellion as the 1000 years concludes.
At the end of His 1000 year reign, when Satan is loosed from his prison, Rev.20: Satan will cause millions of unbelievers to rise up and rebel against Jesus, and that’s when God the Father will send fire out of heaven and destroy them all, remember there will be people born during His 1000 year reign in their nature bodies, they still have the sin nature, many millions will love Him and gladly follow Him but there will be this group that had rather be led of the devil, they had grown used to seeing Jesus for a number of years and they don’t want to be ruled over, they decide they’d rather do other things.
God has a great plan and all this is to cull out the unbelievers, when all things are made new there will be no sinners in the New creation.
Ø listen we’re about to read today’s text in Rev.19:11-16
Ø And now at last the event that all creation has been yeaning for has suddenly come to pass.
The victorious White Horse Rider comes out of heaven and He is also King of kings and Lord of lords.---listen as I read today’s text found in 19:11-16
11And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and he that sat upon him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he doth judge and make war. 12 His eyes were as a flame of fire, and on his head were many crowns; and he had a name written, that no man knew, but he himself. 13And he was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood: and his name is called The Word of God. 14And the armies which were in heaven followed him upon white horses, clothed in fine linen, white and clean.
15And out of his mouth goeth a sharp sword, (his word) that with it he should smite the nations: and he shall rule them with a rod of iron: and he treadeth the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God. 16And he hath on his vesture and on his thigh a name written, KING OF KINGS, AND LORD OF LORDS.---the Tribulation lets realize is over at this point.
Ø Who are the armies? … upon white horses, clothed in fine linen, white and clean?
It’s probable the church, along with the Tribulation saints, and the Old Testament saints. And this would fulfill Jude 14–15
Jude 14–15 And Enoch also, the seventh from Adam, prophesied of these, saying, Behold, the Lord cometh with ten thousands of his saints,
15To execute judgment upon all, and to convince all that are ungodly among them of all their ungodly deeds which they have ungodly committed, and of all their hard speeches which ungodly sinners have spoken against him.
We’ve heard many times, “thy kingdom come thou will be done on earth as it is in heaven” as we read to do with praying in. Matthew 6:10--- Luke 11:2
God is going to magnify His Son here, as He puts all creation under His feet, as He will be victorious and in full control.
Ø David said in a Psalm he wrote;
Psalm 110:1-2 The LORD*(JEHOVAH) said unto my Lord,(Jesus) Sit thou at my right hand, until I make thine enemies thy footstool. 2The LORD shall send the rod of thy strength out of Zion: rule thou in the midst of thine enemies.
Joel 3:16 The LORD also shall roar out of Zion, and utter his voice from Jerusalem; and the heavens and the earth shall shake: but the LORD will be the hope of his people, and the strength of the children of Israel.

In verse 10 we see that John was completely overwhelmed to hear and see these heavenly sights. To hear the great noise of all of the hosts in heaven shouting out the praises to God, and hearing the shouts of praise to the Father from the throne was more that John could bare, he just had to give praise, but he praise the angel, who quickly reminded him that we’re suppose to praise God and Him alone.
Revelation 19:10 And I fell at his feet to worship him. And he said unto me, See thou do it not: I am thy fellowservant, and of thy brethren that have the testimony of Jesus: worship God:--

Verses 11-16 are telling about Armageddon and how He destroys them all, and verses 17-18 tell about the great supper of God, how that the birds are gathered together to clean up the carnage.

17And I saw an angel standing in the sun; and he cried with a loud voice, saying to all the fowls that fly in the midst of heaven, Come and gather yourselves together unto the supper of the great God; 18That ye may eat the flesh of kings, and the flesh of captains, and the flesh of mighty men, and the flesh of horses, and of them that sit on them, and the flesh of all men, both free and bond, both small and great.
Verses 19 -again tells about the Armageddon massacre, John now sees the beast (Antichrist) and the kings of the earth and their armies gathered together to make war against the Lord.
19And I saw the beast, and the kings of the earth, and their armies, gathered together to make war against him that sat on the horse, and against his army.

Verse 20 tells that the Antichrist along with the false prophet are throne into the lake of fire alive, they’re the very 1st to go to the lake of fire as for as I can tell.
20And the beast was taken, and with him the false prophet that wrought miracles before him, with which he deceived them that had received the mark of the beast, and them that worshipped his image. These both were cast alive into a lake of fire burning with brimstone.

And then what was left of this crowd was slain simple by Him speaking His Word, the church or none of the other saints has any part at all in this one sided conflict, this will be the most one sided battle--- --that has ever been heard of. There will be no POWs or refugees, but a 100% casualty rate on the side of the Lord’s enemies.
21And the remnant were slain with the sword of him that sat upon the horse, which sword proceeded out of his mouth: and all the fowls were filled with their flesh.

Back in chapter 16:12-14 we read that the river Euphrates was dried up for the purpose of making away for the 200,000,000 man army from the east to come to the massacre, these will be the oriental people.
In chapter 16:12-15 we read
12And the sixth angel poured out his vial upon the great river Euphrates; and the water thereof was dried up, that the way of the kings of the east might be prepared.
13And I saw three unclean spirits like frogs come out of the mouth of the dragon, and out of the mouth of the beast, and out of the mouth of the false prophet. ***
4For they are the spirits of devils, working miracles, which go forth unto the kings of the earth and of the whole world, to gather them to the battle of that great day of God Almighty.
