Summary: Be amazed as we look at all the places Jesus showed up, and know he will show up in your life too.

I don’t know who I’m talking to tonight, but I prophesy to you by the Spirit of God, that somebody is going to get a breakthrough in this house, somebody’s going to get a deliverance, somebody’s going to get some real peace, and real joy.

Somebody is getting ready to come out of a prison, God is sending an earthquake your way tonight, and he’s going to shake some things loose that have been bound up a long time.

In our text These Disciples were gathered together in a spirit of discouragement, despair, hopelessness, They had believed that Jesus was going to be their deliverer, that he was going to liberate them from Roman rule, and now it’s over, Jesus is dead,

They saw the cruel crucifixion, they watched as they drove nails in his hands and his feet, and shoved a spear in his side, and they saw him die.

And they thought to themselves; it’s over, every natural visible evidence said it’s over.

He tried, he was a good man, he meant well,

But it’s not over till God says it’s over: The doctor may say It’s over we’ve done all we can, The lawyer may say it’s over, the banker may say it’s over, That husband or wife may say it’s over,

The word of man may be (impossible)

The word (Impossible) does not exist in Gods vocabulary:

the word of God says:

*but with God all things are possible.

*all things are possible to him that believeth.

(Luke 18:27) And he said, The things which are impossible with men are possible with God.

John 9: There was a man who was blind from birth, (what can man do for him, nothing, He is destined to die as he was born, blind in darkness (Then came Jesus) –Jesus spit in the dirt, made clay and put it in his eyes, sent him to wash in the pool of siloam and he came seeing.

Mk 5:Tells the story of A woman with an issue of blood, who had been to many physicians and spent all she had and was worse than ever, she was dying, all hope was gone, what can man do for her? Nothing it’s and impossible situation (Then came Jesus) and she pressed her way through the crowd and touched the hem of his garment and was made instantly whole.

Luke 5: Tells the story of A leper

(Not just a leper but a man (Full of leprosy) Man says lock him up he’s a menace to society. This man was destined to live his life as a dead man walking, no contact with his family and friends, no interaction with society, barred from the temple.

What can man do for him? Nothing it’s an impossible case. (Then came Jesus) and was moved with compassion reached out his hand and touched him, and immediately he was made clean.

What about the 3 Hebrew children thrown into the midst of a burning fiery furnace, what can man do for them? Nothing it’s impossible, (Then came Jesus Walking in the midst of the fire) and the fire couldn’t burn them.

Then there was a precious mother, a widow of Nain, they were in the funeral procession, her child is dead in the coffin, what can man do for her? Nothing, it’s impossible, it’s over.

(Then Came Jesus) and touched the coffin and the child sits straight up and starts talking.

Let’s go Back to the disciples; Gathered behind locked doors, mourning the loss of their deliverer, Their light had turned to darkness, their joy had turned to despair, their faith had turned to fear.

Fear was holding them in bondage.

I have to stop here and say that multitudes of people including believers are living their lives today behind locked doors because of fear:

The spirit of fear is holding multitudes of people in bondage.

Fear has many facets or many tentacles, Some are living in fear of terrorism, some are living in fear of sickness and disease, still others are living in fear of gang violence,

Some are living in fear of the future, fear of failure, fear of rejection, fear of losing their assistance from the government,

Whatever the name you put on it the results are the same, fear paralyzes, fear neutralizes, fear brings bondage, Fear brings confusion, fear brings feelings of helplessness.

But here’s good news for the child of God.

Ro 8:15 For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father.

2Ti 1:7 For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.

1Jo 4:18 There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love.

There they were in the darkness and confusion and hopelessness of fear, and then came Jesus, right through the wall.

Then came Jesus

When does Jesus come? When all hope is gone, when you’ve said all you can say, done all you can do, prayed all you can pray, quoted all the scripture you can quote, cried till there’s no more tears, when everything and everybody agree, it’s over.

(That’s when he comes)

Remember the disciples, toiling in rowing, the wind was contrary to them, In the fourth watch of the night, Jesus came to them walking on the water.

Is there anybody here who can testify, That Jesus can come to you when all hope is gone?

They said: Don’t even pray for him, he’ll never get saved, man he’s hopeless (but Jesus came to you).

Is there anybody here who knows if Jesus hadn’t come to you, you’d be strung out on dope, stuck in some ungodly relationship, locked up in some mental institution or dead?

Where does Jesus Come?

Into the midst:

He’ll come right into the midst of your storm, he’ll be your Lawyer in the courtroom, your doctor in the sickroom, your marriage counselor, He will come into the midst of your fiery furnace, he’ll come to you on top of the storm, He’ll go with you through the lions den, he’ll walk with you through the raging waters.

How does Jesus come?

Through locked doors:

That’s good news, for somebody (he’ll walk into that crack house, or that bar room where that son or daughter is,)

He’ll come into that troubled marriage, he’ll walk right through the wall, You may think you locked the door and no one knows, but Jesus knows,

He’ll come right into that room where that man is sitting polluting his life with pornography, and lust.

You say the door is locked, I say you don’t need a key when you are the door. (Jesus said I am the door, and I am the way, and I am the life).

Thank God He comes through locked doors:

What does Jesus do?

He calms the storms

(peace be unto you), Storms of fear, habits addictions, bondage’s, emotional storms, physical storms, marital storms, family storms, Financial storms.

Is there a storm in your life today that you need Jesus to calm? Maybe it’s a financial storm, or a marital storm, or a storm of addiction, or lust and you need Jesus to show up and deliver you.

Maybe tonight I’m talking to someone, possibly even a minister that’s caught up in the web of pornography, you’re hiding behind locked doors, but Jesus knows where you’re at, and he knows what you’re doing, and he will come to where you are and he will set you free, all you have to do is ask him.

Is there a problem that you are facing that you can’t solve?

Is there a sickness that is threatening you? Are you wrestling with the spirit of fear and dread?

Is there a loved one that you are holding on to God for, believing for their salvation, their deliverance?

Sinner are you here, Sinner are you tired of sinning, carrying that load of guilt and shame and condemnation, are you ready to be set free, are you ready for Jesus to bring real peace to your life?

I don’t care how many walls you have built up, or how many doors you have shut behind you, or how many bridges you have burned,

Jesus is the bridge, and Jesus is the door, and he is our peace that has broken down the middle wall, and he wants to come in and heal you, and deliver you, and transform your

life.

For somebody tonight, you are facing an impossible situation (that’s what man says) but God says: If you can believe all things are possible to him that believeth.

I don’t care how bad it looks, or how far it’s gone, or how locked down you feel, Jesus will come right through the wall and he will deliver you.

Come on and lift your hands and begin to praise him, I feel the Spirit of God moving in this place,

Deliverance is coming to somebody right now

Healing is coming to somebody right now.

You’ve been wrestling with this bondage and this addiction for a long time but your deliver has arrived.

The marriage counselor has just walked into the building, marriages are being restored.

Somebody’s ministry is being restored right now, you messed up and you thought it was over, and you closed the door and locked it behind you but tonight Jesus is restoring your ministry.

Somebody tonight you have been standing in the gap for your children and from all natural evidence it has looked like they shut the door, locked the door and threw away the key.

But there’s a turn around in the atmosphere and God is turning their hearts,
