On the other side of the Comma
1 Now the LORD had said unto Abram, Get thee out of thy country, and from thy kindred, and from thy father’s house, unto a land that I will shew thee: 2 And I will make of thee a great nation, and I will bless thee, and make thy name great; and thou shalt be a blessing
Visionarally it is my assignment to move you all from one point to another, as our church is changing the organizational structure we have to plan for a shift, move and a blessing.
When you are ordered to go you have to trust the fact that God has made provision for your:
1) Departure 2) Trip 3) Destiny
I see in the text three important components:
1) Country – Place of Dwelling 2) Family – People of Familiarity 3) Father’s House – Place of Leadership- Responsibility
To go to a place he’ll show you – a place of I don’t know
Your transition will never be comfortable –You will want to take with you weight that is not intended for your trip
1) Respond – We must move when God says move 2) React – Go when God says go 3) Receive – Go Where God says go
If God says move there is always a greater cause than you can typically imagine
Hesitation is only the delay of your blessing – The longer you hesitate – The Longer your delay
The principles in the text are Get Out - Go
The Promises are I Will 1) Make Thee a Great Nation 2) Bless You 3) Make Your Name Great
Above all of what God mentioned the greatest of all is that fact that he told Abram “and you shall be a blessing”
Blessing comes with an abundent sacrifice: 1) Financially 2) Emotionally 3) Physically 4) Spiritually 5) Personally
In Order to be a blessing it’s going to cost you something
