A Higher INSULATION / BLOODLINE(:3)

Explanation:(:3)Justified by our priest

:3—“Without father, without mother, without genealogy, having neither beginning of days nor end of life, but made like the Son of God, remains a priest continually.”

This Melchizedek has no prior or further mention in Scripture aside from our passage here & in Gen. 14:18-20. He comes on the scene unannounced & unexpected & disappears into oblivion just as silently & surpisingly. His ministry is obviously meant to reveal important truths for a different time....our time.

For Melchizedek, there is no mention of paternal or maternal descent nor any genealogy. Thus he has “neither beginning of days” “nor end of life”. This is a basic concept directly applicable to Jesus intended to strengthen both the believer & the seeker aware of & accepting of the truth of Scripture.

Thereby, Melchizedek himself, in type, was “made like the Son of God”(Jesus). And like the Son of God Melchizedek “abides a priest perpetually”.

There is no other priest/mediator/bloodline who can possibly represent you before the one true God as trust in the blood of Jesus perpetually/without fail/eternally/forever!

“Without father”—apatwr—1) whose father is not recorded in the genealogies. Strong—Fatherless, i.e. Of unrecorded paternity:-- Without father. Used 1X.

Without mother”—amhtwr—1) Born without a mother; 2) Bereft of a mother; 3) Born of a base or unknown mother; 4) unmotherly, not worthy of the name of mother. Strong—Motherless, i.e. of unknown maternity:-- Without mother. Used 1X.

“Without genealogy”—agenealoghtov—1) one whose descent there is no record of, without genealogy. Strong—Unregistered as to birth:-- Without descent. This word is “coined by the author (found nowhere else) and meaning simply “devoid of any genealogy.”—RWP Used 1X.

“Made like”—afomoiow—to cause a model to pass off into an image or shape like it; To express itself in it, to copy; To produce a facsimile; To be made like, render similar.

“Son of God”—

“Abides”—menw—To reamin, abide.

“Perpetually”—dihnekhv—Continuously; Lit.—“Carry thru”.

Argumentation:

Jn. 1:1-2, 12-13—“In the beginning was the Word, & the Word was with God, & the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God.”....“But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, even to those who believe in His name, who were born not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.”

Col. 1:19—“For it was the Father’s good pleasure for all the fulness to dwell in Him,”

Lk. 1:34-35—“And Mary said to the angel, “How can this be, since I am a virgin?” And the angel answered & said to her, “The Holy Spirit will come upon you, & the power of the Most High will overshadow you; & for that reason the holy offspring shall be called the Son of God.”

Rom. 3:20-26—“Therefore by the deeds of the law no flesh will be justified in His sight, for by the law is the knowledge of sin. But now the righteousness of God apart from the law is revealed, being witnessed by the Law and the Prophets, even the righteousness of God, through faith in Jesus Christ, to all and on all who believe. For there is no difference; for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, being justified freely by His grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus, whom God set forth as a propitiation by His blood, through faith, to demonstrate His righteousness, because in His forbearance God had passed over the sins that were previously committed, to demonstrate at the present time His righteousness, that He might be just and the justifier of the one who has faith in Jesus.”

Electrical wire has insulating covering around its entire length/Keeps the wire itself from coming into contact with another wire/If it contacts another, its energy flows haphazardly & unpredictably elsewhere(I’m obviously not an electrical contractor—humor me please!)/Any damage to the insulation & power can be lost/There must be a more trustworthy & Higher INSULATION-BLOODLINE

Jesus insulates us for not only heaven but a life lived in Him on this earth.

Christian heritage—Come from a long line of Christians—Good Baptists—Publically recognized & accepted on bloodline’s merit/Moral insulations/Higher INSULATION-BLOODLINE

What insulates you morally...keeps you Christian...

!It better be Jesus alone!

James & Undine Fortner—Good Christian people/Nephew Riley Fortner—Busted for drugs—Jailed & released—House stark & empty, no intact windows, no heat—only furniture was a Pool table & a few chairs—Beer can mountain in back/Neither could depend on the other members of their family for God’s favor—James & Undine couldn’t because Riley was far from Christ; Riley couldn’t (neither J&U) because he is ultimately answerable for his own decisions/Higher INSULATION-BLOODLINE

Application:

?Your Bloodline the Higher INSULATION-BLOODLINE?

?You the Best of Baptists?—Are you a true Christian by Christ’s blood?

Unknowingly/unintentionally Used only this one point(4.), which God used as a springboard to drive home the importance of rightly placing one’s trust in this Christ who indeed “remains a priest continually” as Melchizedek pictures.
