II. Angel’s Message

a. “Today” – in the fullness of time, at God’s appointed hour

b. “Born for you” – not for us angels, but for you, mankind

c. “A Saviour” – long ago promised, long time expected

d. “Christ the Lord” – The Messiah, the anointed one of God

III. Angel’s Song

a. Suddenly a multitude – as if the rest of the angels couldn’t contain themselves

b. “Praising God” – for the work is of God, by God, for man

c. “Glory to God in the Highest” - Other works of God are for his glory, but the redemption of the world is for his glory in the highest.

d. “Peace on Earth, Good will toward men” – God had extended the peace offering toward sinful mankind
