7 and he put forth a parable to those which were bidden, when he marked how they chose out the chief rooms; saying unto them.

8 When thou art bidden of any man to a wedding, sit not down in the highest room; lest a more honourable man than thou be bidden of him;
10:17: LORD, thou hast heard the desire of the humble: thou wilt prepare their heart, thou wilt cause thine ear to hear
Proverbs 29:23: A man’s pride shall bring him low: but honour shall uphold the humble in spirit
Stay in your season of humility (Lowliness)
9And he that bade thee and him come and say to thee, Give this man place; and thou begin with shame to take the lowest room.
Don’t lift yourself up only to be takin’ down – Or have your Position taken
Promotion - Psalm 75:6-7: For promotion cometh neither from the east, nor from the west, nor from the south
7But God is the judge: he putteth down one, and setteth up another.
10But when thou art bidden, go and sit down in the lowest room; that when he that bade thee cometh, he may say unto thee, Friend, go up higher: then shalt thou have worship in the presence of them that sit at meat with thee.
Take a place of Humility and Let God Take You Where he wants you.
Start off Big and End up small – Start off small and end up Big. God can work with a humble heart
11For whosoever exalteth himself shall be abased (Humiliated); and he that humbleth himself shall be exalted (Lifted Up).
1 Timothy 3:6 Not a novice (Beginner), lest being lifted up with pride he fall into the condemnation of the devil
Matt 25:23 Well done, good and faithful servant; thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord.
12Then said he also to him that bade him, When thou makest a dinner or a supper, call not thy friends, nor thy brethren, neither thy kinsmen, nor thy rich neighbours; lest they also bid thee again, and a recompence be made thee.
13But when thou makest a feast, call the poor, the maimed, the lame, the blind:
Overlooked: Poor, Maimed, Lamed, Blind
14And thou shalt be blessed; for they cannot recompense thee: for thou shalt be recompensed at the resurrection of the just.
John 3:30 He must increase, but I must decrease: This should be the motto of every Christian, especially leaders among God’s people. Jesus should become greater and more visible, and the servant should become less and less visible.
