Summary: You and I should not fret when we look all around us and realize what an evil and danderous time we’re living in, but let us try to remember that all these things that seem so frightful are nothing more than Prophcey being set up to come too pass, accordi

2 Timothy 3:1-5 #-3 PROPHECEY 6-25-11

In recent weeks we talked a little about Prophecy, let me say first of all that Christians consider prophecy to be directly from God; however ever person that makes a prediction is not a spokes person for God, there have always been false prophets and their still at it today.

The reason for bringing these broadcasts to do with prophecy is with the hope that the doubters and skeptics might finally realize that there have been numerous prophecies that have come to pass just exactly like was fore told, and therefore it stands to reason that the others will also at Gods set time, and that many lost souls will be saved before it’s everlastingly to late, we’re not trying to prove that the word of God is true, but because of the fulfilled prophecies it does that very thing.

Hebrews 11:6 But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, ---

The recent false prophet that prophesied that the world was coming to and end this past may has had a stroke according to the news.

 We are today living in the most dangerous time that the world has ever seen, Paul said in

2 Timothy 3: 1-5 This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. 2For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, 3Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent,* (no self control) fierce, despisers of those that are good, 4Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God; 5Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.

 I want to try to illustrate a point right here,

This earth that we are living on and in, is really not such a big place, when I was in the 3rd Marine division there in Okinawa, our battalion was on 5 different amphibious landing ships, and we were constantly going from one country to another there in the far east, Philippines, Japan, Hong Kong China, all those countries in that neck of the woods so to speak, we were a floating battle ready battalion, and I’m sure that still goes on today, I’ve said all that to say this, when the sea was calm I have many times looked out on the horizon of the sea and as any person that’s been there can tell you, you can actually see the taper of the world, it’s not very big at all.

The distance around the Earth, also known as its "circumference", is 24906 miles—and its about 8 miles thick, or so the dictionaries say. So its really not very large at all, and it has evil men in charge of powerful and distructive devices and one day these nuclear deviceses will be unleashed on its inhabitants, little peanut headed man wants to kill other people.

The crooks commits some horrendous crime and so he thinks if he gets out of the country and goes to another part of the world all will be well, so he boards a plane and flies to a foreign country, think of what he just did, he leaves the ground here and in a short time he’s landing there, in other words, there’s no way that he can escape from this little world, the only way a person is going to get out of this world alive is too be saved and one day he’ll arrive in the heavenly country that we read about in Gods word, that’s our blessed hope, that is what we that are saved have to look forward too, and it’s going to happen just as sure as we here together today thinking on the things of God,, the reason we know for sure that the rapture is going to happen is, IT’S FORE TOLD IN GODS WORD, I means its pinned down in black and white. God knows the very day and hour that it’s to happen. We’ve all heard the old song “I’m using my Bible for a road map” a lot of truth is in that song.

We see things that are going on today on the news channels that there is turmoil and chouse in every part of the world, and it worries us much of the time after all it’s our human nature to worry, but really all we’re witnessing is the ground work being laid for the next prophecy to take place.

Listen-- We see the weather man make a fore cast that it’s going to snow beginning on a certain day, and it seems that lately they have been pretty accurate. I mean as we look out our windows when the fore cast is given it looks to us like there’s no way it’s going to snow, there’s not a cloud in the sky, but low and behold in a few hours it begins to become colder and the clouds are becoming thick and low.

Well the same is the case with the end time prophecies we read in the Bible, it certainly must cloud up before it can snow, and likewise as we look on the situation yonder in the region of Israel we see the clouds rolling in, what has been forecast in the prophetic word is gathering together, if you and I will be realistic we will have to agree that there’s always preliminary events that must occur before the PROPHCIED subject can come to pass.

Listen--If this world was not in a mess when the antichrist comes on the scene he wouldn’t have any thing to do, but Israel and her neighboring enemies must be on the verge of war for him to suddenly have all the right answers for a so called peace, remember the church will already be out of here when the antichrist shows up, the church leaves in Rev.4: and the antichrist is on the scene in Rev. 6:

Daniel 9: 27 And he* (antichrist) shall confirm* (to establish) the covenant with many for one week:* (7 years) and in the midst of the week* (3 ½ years) he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease, and for the overspreading of abominations he shall make it desolate, even until the consummation,* (completion) and that determined shall be poured upon the desolate. **what has been fore told is sure to happen.

----------------------

About 500 years before Jesus came to earth the prophet Zechariah said this to do with Jerusalem.

Zechariah 12:1-3 The burden of the word of the LORD for Israel, saith the LORD, which stretcheth forth the heavens, and layeth the foundation of the earth, and formeth the spirit of man within him.

2Behold, I will make Jerusalem a cup of trembling unto all the people round about,**(the neighboring countries of Israel) when they*(more than one) shall be in the siege**(military blockade of a city) both against Judah and against Jerusalem.

3And in that day will I make Jerusalem a burdensome stone for all people: all that burden themselves with it shall be cut in pieces, though all the people of the earth be gathered together against it.

Back when Zechariah pinned this down there was not much of a threat over Jerusalem, when this was pinned downed there was no such thing as Christianity, Christ had not yet come, and it was 1200 hundred years before there was an Islam.

Israel was a little nation of only about 50,000 men at that time according to Ezra 2:- they had rebuilt the destruction caused by the Babylonians.

But Jerusalem has been taken over and traded many times since then by the Medo Persians, Greeks, Romans, Turks, Egyptians, Moslems, European Crusaders, and others many times over the last 2500 years.

About a thousand years after Zechariah gave the prophecy to do with Jerusalem the Moslems came on the scene and said that a man they call a prophet named Mohammed ascended to heaven from the temple mount which they claim as an Islamic holy site.

That’s where the dome of the rock is today.

----------------------------------

LISTEN--In 1996, Israel made plans to build a new housing subdivision on a barren hillside in East Jerusalem. The so called Palestinians and Moslem nations were outraged. The European Union wanted in on the negotiations, and updates were broadcast on worldwide television every day.

Listen and realize that the whole world was suddenly interested in Jerusalem.

a burdensome stone for all people—just like God said.

It wouldn’t have amounted to a hill of beans if this housing development was going to be built any where else in the entire world, no country any where could have cared less.

And when Israel broke through an 18 inch wall of rock to create a doorway at the end of a tunnel near the Wailing Wall, it made headlines worldwide. It produced a severe outcry from the so called Palestinians, and was followed shortly by a retaliatory bombing that killed more than 50 people.

Just try to imagine the fury that would be unleashed if Israel were to attempt to rebuild the temple on the same hill as the Islamic Dome of the Rock!

But God knew all of this would come to pass and said of Jerusalem, "all the people of the earth be gathered together against it."

Most likely the dome of the rock will not be torn down until King Jesus returns and then the Temple will be rebuilt.

Amos 9:11 In that day will I raise up the tabernacle of David that is fallen, and close up the breaches thereof; and I will raise up his ruins, and I will build it as in the days of old:

 Zechariah also said in

Zechariah 14:1-3 Behold, the day of the LORD cometh, and thy spoil shall be divided in the midst of thee.

2For I will gather all nations against Jerusalem to battle; and the city shall be taken, and the houses rifled, and the women ravished; and half of the city shall go forth into captivity, and the residue of the people shall not be cut off from the city. -- Prior to 1967 this prophecy could not have been fulfilled, since Israel did not have possession of the city of Jerusalem. In the 1967 war with the Arab nations, Israel took back Jerusalem for the first time in nearly 2000 years. So now we see Zechariah 14:1-3 set up for fulfillment.—the storm clouds are on the horizon.

3Then shall the LORD go forth, and fight against those nations, as when he fought in the day of battle.—in the day of battle, when was that, well,

The Lord fought many times on behalf of His chosen people, one in particular is found in

Exodus 14:3-4 For Pharaoh will say of the children of Israel, They are entangled in the land, the wilderness hath shut them in. 4And I will harden Pharaoh’s heart, that he shall follow after them; and I will be honoured upon Pharaoh, and upon all his host; that the Egyptians may know that I am the LORD.

God received honor and glory when He drowned the pursuing Egyptian army in the red sea.—and make no mistake, God will and is going to fight for them again, there will never be any enemy attack forces that can defeat Israel.

Listen to this information I have on the so called PALISTINIANS.

During the last few decades the term Palestine has been adopted by Arabs living in Israel in the area west of the Jordan River. It is specifically used to avoid the use of the name Israel, and must be considered an anti-Israel term.

In all Arab maps published in Jordan, Egypt, etc., the area west of the Jordan River is called Palestine, without any reference to Israel.

Palestine is the term now used by those who want to deny the legitimate existence of Israel as a genuine nation among the family of nations.

The term now adopted by the political opposition within Israel that is gradually obtaining more and more pockets of territory through the so called “peace process,” is “the (Palestinian Authority).

Although it must deal daily with Israeli officials, the Palestinian Authority hates to use the term Israel in any of its communications.

 “ Palestine”, therefore, must now be considered a political propaganda term with massive anti-Israel implications.

The world press uses the term to question the legitimacy of modern Israel. Christians also have used the term “Palestine” for centuries in referring to the Holy Land.

In earlier times this might have been excused because of its common usage. (although biblically questionable) ~~ In light of the current propaganda war against Israel, Christians must now re-evaluate the term Palestine and consider whether it is biblically, theologically or prophetically accurate.

It was not until the Romans crushed the second Jewish revolt against Rome in 135 A.D. that Emperor Hadrian applied the term Palestine to the Land of Israel. XXX

Hadrian, like many dictators since his time realized the propaganda power of terms and symbols.

He replaced the shrines of the Jewish Temple in Jerusalem with temples to pagan deities. He changed the name of Jerusalem to Aelia Cap-ita-lina, and changed the name of Israel and Judea to Palestine.

Hadrian’s selection of Palestine was purposeful, not accidental. He took the name of the ancient enemies of Israel, the Philistines, Latinized it to Palestine, and applied it to the Land of Israel.

He hoped to erase the name Israel from all memory.

 And so the term Palestine as applied to the Land of Israel was invented by the enemy of the Bible and the Jewish people, by Roman Emperor Hadrian.—in 135 A.D.

It is interesting to note that the original Philistines were not Middle Eastern at all. They were European peoples from the Adriatic sea next to Greece. It may have pleased Hadrian to utilize this Hellenistic term for the Jewish land. In any case, the original “Palestinians” had nothing to do, whatsoever, with any desendence of Arabs.
