Summary: This is the whole purpose of Grace - we get love and blessings when you do wrong instead of punishment.

How Do You Know If You Are Under The Law Or Under Grace?

Rom 6:14 For sin shall not have dominion over you, for you are not under law but under grace.

When sin has power over you then you are under the law. When you are living a Godly life then you are under Grace.

Tts 2:11 For the grace of God that brings salvation has appeared to all men,

Tts 2:12 teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly in the present age,

We as Christians grow in our relationship of Grace with Christ and our Heavenly Father. When we make a mistake (As we grow) God does not give us what we deserve but looks at the righteousness of Christ that is a free gift in our lives knowing that the price of all sins are paid by the sacrifice of Christ on the Cross. This is why it is called Grace. We receive what we do not deserve no matter what our performance is. God’s Love and blessings will always continue in our life. This is the whole purpose of Grace - we get love and blessings when you do wrong instead of punishment. Think about it - if you could do everything right then we would not need Grace. Jesus Christ died on the Cross and took upon Himself all of our punishment so we could have His righteousness, goodness, love and blessings. After the death of Christ on the Cross - He was buried, resurrected and then ascended to the Father. This is the Gospel.

2Pe 3:18 but grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To Him [be] the glory both now and forever. Amen.

Jhn 8:10 When Jesus had raised Himself up and saw no one but the woman, He said to her, "Woman, where are those accusers of yours? Has no one condemned you?"

Jhn 8:11 She said, "No one, Lord." And Jesus said to her, "Neither do I condemn you; go and sin no more."

This is how talks to us: 2Ti 1:2 To Timothy, a beloved son: Grace, mercy, [and] peace from God the Father and Christ Jesus our Lord.

The Holy Spirit will keep us preserving in our relationship with God and living under Grace.

2Ti 1:14 That good thing which was committed to you, keep by the Holy Spirit who dwells in us.

The Law will cause you to sin more:

1Cr 15:55 "O Death, where [is] your sting? O Hades, where [is] your victory?"

1Cr 15:56 The sting of death [is] sin, and the strength of sin [is] the law.

If you are living a life of bondage to sin that is a life of habitual sin then you are under the law and need to pray to God that He will lead you under Grace. As you hear the Word of God you will receive faith to come under Grace. If you are a Christian and struggle with a drinking problem or a sexual problem or a problem with anger or ETC. and when this goes on practically everyday then you are probably under the law and in bondage to sin. Relax because there is hope in Christ and He will lead you out under Grace. Do not look at life as a set of rules, live in a relationship with God. Religion is not good, just live out of your heart. God Loves you very much, talk with Him.

1Cr 15:57 But thanks [be] to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.

Gal 4:4 But when the fullness of the time had come, God sent forth His Son, born of a woman, born under the law,

Gal 4:5 to redeem those who were under the law, that we might receive the adoption as sons.

Gal 4:6 And because you are sons, God has sent forth the Spirit of His Son into your hearts, crying out, "Abba, Father!"

When you know that you are forgiven you will live a Godly life:

2Pe 1:5 But also for this very reason, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue, to virtue knowledge,

2Pe 1:6 to knowledge self-control, to self-control perseverance, to perseverance godliness,

2Pe 1:7 to godliness brotherly kindness, and to brotherly kindness love.

2Pe 1:8 For if these things are yours and abound, [you] will be neither barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.

2Pe 1:9 For he who lacks these things is shortsighted, even to blindness, and has forgotten that he was cleansed from his old sins.

When you lose sight that your sins are forgiven then you will live under the law. When you really know that you are forgiven of all sins then you will live under Grace.

Tts 2:11 For the grace of God that brings salvation has appeared to all men,

Tts 2:12 teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly in the present age,

If you would happen to slip up then just forget about it and move on. No need to confess it because it has been laid on Christ at the Cross. Your forgiveness started at the Cross. 1 John the first chapter was written to unbelievers. You confessed your sin when you first believed in Christ. Stay under Grace!

2Pe 3:18 but grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To Him [be] the glory both now and forever. Amen.
