The Nuclear Family under attack
If the foundations be destroyed, what can the righteous do?” Ps. 11
REFLECTION: Our God is a God of intense and intentional design. When we tinker or actually violate those designs, the effect is often catastrophic. In Psalm 11, David asked the same question that many of us find ourselves asking in the wake of the social experiments of these past several years. “What can we do about the disintegration of our society?” The Hebrew word for “Foundations” in this passage means a basis, political or moral support: purpose.
There has been an intentional and systematic attempt to undermine the foundation of our society, (the political or moral support or purpose). There has always been a battle between right and wrong. Often the battle materializes in physical, political, and philosophical conflicts. We know that behind all of it is a spiritual battle that rages unseen. (Eph. 6:10-18) We are seeing the results of a carefully planned, generously funded, and meticulously executed “battle plan” in our society.
DIRECTION: Colossians 1:`7 reminds us that Jesus both “created” everything, and that literally “by Him all things consist.” (Literally “set together”) The foundation of the physical world is the atomic structure of material. (Nucleus of Proton and Neutron surrounded by Electrons) To destroy an atom (the ultimate “foundation” of the material world) you must bombard the nucleus with particles in attempt to break through the energy fields and forces that protect it. The introduction of “unnatural” neutrons into the nucleus sets in motion the following sequence:
1) The atom becomes “unstable”
2) This unstable atom seeks to release the extra energy in the form of harmful radiation. (usually gamma rays).
3) If the atom cannot reach stability again, it will literally “explode”, producing at least two completely different atoms (isotopes) and releasing more harmful radioactive particles (such as Neutrons, gammas, and Alpha particles).
4) These harmful radioactive particles then infiltrate other nucleus’, creating a “chain reaction” that can lead to an atomic explosion. (Uranium releases 2.3 other “Neutrons” capable of sustaining a nuclear reaction.)
THE SAME PROCESS IS OCCURING IN OUR SOCIETY.
The family is the “foundation” (atom) of society with marriage as its Nucleus. Children are like electrons that “orbit” around the nucleus. The “Nuclear Family” was once defined as a man and his wife raising their own children. The nuclear family is under attack.
(Col 2:8) "Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ."
1) Individual families become unstable after the introduction of “philosophy and vain deceit after the tradition of men.”
2) The resulting “tension” is “vented” through conflict, accusation, blame, substance abuse, etc.
3) Many families (roughly half) simply break apart, releasing “radioactive” particles (people) who have been poisoned.
4) These “poisoned people” eventually get involved in other relationships producing instability and effectively a “chain reaction”.
1. THE FIGHT: BOMBARDMENT OF THE FAMILY NUCLEUS.

A. THE FORCES OF THE ATTACK:
1) Foreign Forces: Satan (Jn 10:10) and the World. (1 Jn 2:15)
2) “Friendly forces” The Flesh. (Ro. 7)
B. THE FOCUS OF THE ATTACKS. How are they doing it
For Example: How did <2% of gays in US get >50% to redefine homosexuality? The gay activists have worked for decades to try to “re-indoctrinate” America in their reaction to the homosexual lifestyle. ‘
1) Intimidation. Before 1973, Homosexuality was considered a mental illness by the APA. In 1970, Gay activists began a systematic effort to disrupt the APA meetings, at one point interrupting their annual meetings, taking control of the platform and saying: “Psychiatry is the enemy incarnate. It has waged a relentless way of extermination against us. You may take this as a declaration of war against you.” As a result of the tactics that followed the next few years, the APA gave into the pressure and removed Homosexuality from their “LIST” of mental illnesses and reclassified it as “Normal.” This was done without any scientific or clinical justification. (Black panthers blocking election lines!)
2) Orientation. (Marshal Kirk and Erastes Pill: The Overhauling of Strait America. 1987)
a) Keep the homosexual lifestyle before America in a positive light.
“Almost any behavior begins to look normal if you are exposed to enough of it.”
1) The media has done an excellent job of accommodated them.
2) Find “Gay” preachers and leaders and set them up as “examples”.
b) Portray gays as victims, not aggressors. (Used exceptions like the murder of Mathew Shepard to portray the “Hate crimes” of strait America. They neglect the thousands of pedophile and homosexual crimes and murders in America each year.
Eric Pollard, founder of “ACT UP” writes that lying has always been a part of successful activists, referencing Adolph Hitler as an example. “By clever and persevering use of propaganda, even heaven can be represented as hell to the people, and the most wretched life as paradise.”
c) Vilify “Anti-gays”. Label them “intolerant” “We intend to make the anti-gays look so nasty that ave. Americans will want to disassociate themselves from them.”
The following is from the article “The Overhauling of Strait America.”
“Where we talk is important. The visual media, film and television, are plainly the most powerful image-makers in Western civilization. The average American household watches over seven hours of TV daily. Those hours open up a gateway into the private world of straights, through which a Trojan horse might be passed. As far as desensitization is concerned, the medium is the message-- of normalcy. So far, gay Hollywood has provided our best covert weapon in the battle to desensitize the mainstream. Bit by bit over the past ten years, gay characters and gay themes have been introduced into TV programs and films (though often this has been done to achieve comedic and ridiculous affects). On the whole the impact has been encouraging. The prime-time presentation of Consenting Adults on a major network in 1985 is but one high-water mark in favorable media exposure of gay issues. But this should be just the beginning of a major publicity blitz by gay America.
Would a desensitizing campaign of open and sustained talk about gay issues reach every rabid opponent of homosexuality? Of course not. While public opinion is one primary source of mainstream values, religious authority is the other. When conservative churches condemn gays, there are only two things we can do to confound the homophobia of true believers. First, we can use talk to muddy the moral waters. This means publicizing support for gays by more moderate churches, raising theological objections of our own about conservative interpretations of biblical teachings, and exposing hatred and inconsistency. Second, we can undermine the moral authority of homophobic churches by portraying them as antiquated backwaters, badly out of step with the times and with the latest findings of psychology. Against the mighty pull of institutional Religion one must set the mightier draw of Science & Public Opinion (the shield and sword of that accursed "secular humanism"). Such an unholy alliance has worked well against churches before, on such topics as divorce and abortion. With enough open talk about the prevalence and acceptability of homosexuality, that alliance can work again here.”
3) Education: Reach the children.
a) In 2001, the NEA (National Edu. Asso.) adopted resolutions to promote the full-scale indoctrination of children to accept and affirm Homosexual behavior. Word of their intentions “leaked” so they “tabled” the motion. (Implement it quietly)
b) Teach as fact the “theory” that people are “born gay” and cannot help it. This is not science, but rather unsubstantiated propaganda.
NOTE: One man who “starred” in the educational documentary about gays has recently been saved and left the homosexual lifestyle. He has requested that the school system use a disclaimer that he is no longer gay, but they refused. (IT goes against the whole argument that Gays can’t help it.!)
4) Identification. Solicit money and support from major corporations to promote homosexuality and neutralize the opposition. (Disney, ATT, Ford, IBM, United Airlines, Home Depot, etc.) Remember the Boy Scouts!
2. THE FALL OUT:
A. DISINTIGRATION OF OUR FAMILIES:
1) 50% divorce rate (Even in the church!)
2) More than 1/3 children are born out of wedlock in US.
3) 40% of children will be raised in a “Co-habiting” relationship instead of married parents.
4) 34% of kids don’t live with Fathers.
B. DILUTION OF OUR INFLUENCE. Mt. 5:13
“Ye are the salt of the earth: but if the salt have lost his savour, wherewith shall it be salted? it is thenceforth good for nothing, but to be cast out, and to be trodden under foot of men.”
1) The church (and genuine Christianity in general) is seen as irrelevant in our society.
