I’m just a blue jeans minister

A simple life I’ve trod

I’ve tried to show the erring

The only path to God

To save a soul from being lost

To save a soul from Hell

To help someone in need of Christ

Who needs his love so well

I seek no glory for myself

I stand behind the cross

I preach the Word of Jesus Christ

All else can suffer loss

Heaven is my only goal

My ultimate desire

To save a world that’s lost in sin

From a lake of burning fire

So, I’m a blue jeans minister

And down through life I’ll trod

To show the lost and erring

The only path to God
