Consider playing an instrument like the piano. Who is free the toddler who has never taken a lesson but freely bangs on the piano keys, or the person who has taken lessons, reads music, and creates beautiful even worshipful sounds with the same piano? Obviously, the skilled musician is free to play the instrument as it was designed. We were created to walk in fellowship with almighty God, but sin hinders that relationship by enslaving us in a separated life from God. Christ is the only one who can set us free to enjoy the life as a child of God instead of living as a slave of the world.

We need certain provisions in order for us to survive. Food, water and air are essentials. It’s been found that man can live for about 40 days without food, about 3 days without water and about 8 minutes without air.

Years ago a large church had a janitor named Creasy who had a key chain with almost 100 keys on it, a key for every door in the church before they purchased a master lock and a master key. Creasy knew everything that was going on in church, and kept it spotlessly clean. Every once in awhile when Creasy would sneak up on kids and catch them where they shouldn’t be, or catch them doing things they shouldn’t do, he’d always jingle his keys to let them know he was coming. That way the kids could straighten up before Mr. Creasy got there.
I wonder if Jesus is jingling His keys to let us know that He’s coming? I wonder does He want us to straighten up because He is coming? Some of you are doing things that you shouldn’t be doing. Listen for the jingle of the keys.
