Introduction: Share a personal testimony of waiting on God.

I. The Godly Seek the Lord

a. "But seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be added to you. (Matthew 6:33 NASB)

b. Trust in the LORD with all your heart And do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He will make your paths straight. (Proverbs 3:5-6 NASB)

II. The Ungodly Seek their Own

a. Every man's way is right in his own eyes, But the LORD weighs the hearts. (Proverbs 21:2 NASB)

b. In those days there was no king in Israel; everyone did what was right in his own eyes. (Judges 21:25 NASB)

III. The Godly Must Trust God to Make it Right

a. Yet those who wait for the LORD Will gain new strength; They will mount up with wings like eagles, They will run and not get tired, They will walk and not become weary. (Isaiah 40:31 NASB)

b. Rest in the LORD and wait patiently for Him; Do not fret because of him who prospers in his way, Because of the man who carries out wicked schemes. (Psalms 37:7 NASB)
