# 21~NINETEEN & TWENTY~ BIBLE NUMBER MEANINGS 3-12-12

NINETEEN is the number of FAITH. NINETEEN is found 3 times in our KJ Bible.

There are NINETEEN different persons referred to in Hebrews 11-1-32, although the name of Joshua is not mentioned in verse 30, he was the leader of Israel at the overthrow of Jericho so he must be included.

Vs.30 By faith the walls of Jericho fell down, after they were compassed about seven days.

-------

Enoch is found in number THREE, the number for RESURRECTION, Enoch’s translation foreshadows the translation of the living saints at the rapture.

Abraham is number FIVE in the list, FIVE represents GRACE. He and his seed are to be heirs by grace.

Jacob who is number EIGHT in the list, and EIGHT is the number for the NEW BIRTH, he was the second born of twins. - This represents the SECOND BIRTH, or the NEW BIRTH.

----

The name of Joseph is number NINE in the list, representing the FRUIT OF THE SPIRIT (Gal.5:22-23)

Jacob prophesied of Joseph in Genesis 49:22 Joseph is a fruitful bough, even a fruitful bough by a well; whose branches run over the wall:

----

David is the SEVENTEENTH listed in the heroes of faith.

This is the number for VICTORY. David was victorious over all his enemies. 2nd Samuel 7:1 And it came to pass, when the king sat in his house, and the LORD had given him rest round about from all his enemies;

----

In Heb.11:3 we read, Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, --

So it is through faith that we UNDERSTAND.

In Rom. 1:29-31 Paul charges sinful men with TWENTY THREE things. The NINETEENTH charge he brings against them is being "without UNDERSTANDING."

Being without FAITH, which is represented by the number NINETEEN, they are without UNDERSTANDING, for it is by FAITH that men understand.

TWENTY

The number TWENTY is found 341 times in our KJ Bible and it stands for REDEMPTION, as well as EXPECTACY.

The males of the children of Israel had to offer a ransom for their souls at the age of TWENTY.

In connection with this ransom TWENTY gerahs are mentioned. A shekel is twenty gerahs.

Every person from twenty years old and above was required to give half a shekel of silver, termed a ransom for his soul; Silver is the metal of redemption and a type of redemption.

Exodus 30:11-14 11And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying, 12When thou takest the sum of the children of Israel after their number, then shall they give every man a ransom for his soul unto the LORD, when thou numberest them; that there be no plague among them, when thou numberest them. 13This they shall give, every one that passeth among them that are numbered, half a shekel after the shekel of the sanctuary: (a shekel is twenty gerahs:) an half shekel shall be the offering of the LORD. 14Every one that passeth among them that are numbered, from twenty years old and above, shall give an offering unto the LORD.

This they did only ONCE, we can be REDEEMED only once. "REDEEMED" means, bought back.

The money that was given for their RANSOM was made of SILVER. SILVER is a symbol of REDEMPTION.

--------

SILVER money was used to make the 100 silver sockets in the Tabernacle, and the SILVER fillets and hooks for the pillars of the court.

Exodus 38:24-28 All the gold that was occupied for the work in all the work of the holy place, even the gold of the offering, was twenty and nine talents, and seven hundred and thirty shekels, after the shekel of the sanctuary. And the silver of them that were numbered of the congregation was an hundred talents and a thousand seven hundred and threescore and fifteen shekels, after the shekel of the sanctuary: 26 A bekah for every man, "A bekah is, half a shekel," after the shekel of the sanctuary, for every one that went to be numbered, from twenty years old and upward, for six hundred thousand and three thousand and five hundred and fifty men.

This connects the number Twenty with REDEMPTION and the SILVER with REDEMPTION.

27And of the hundred talents of silver were cast (to melt & mold-shape) the sockets ** (bases or foundation for the structure to fit in)-REMEMBER, SILVER PICTURES REDEMPTION, & OUR FIRM FOUNDATION IS THE LORD JESUS OUR REDEEMER--

1 Corinthians 3:11 For other foundation can no man lay than that is laid, which is Jesus Christ.

„« The tabernacle stood in a court, or an outer enclosure, 150 by 75 feet.

There were TWENTY boards on each side of the TABERNACLE north and south. (Exodus 26:18-20)

The SILVER sockets were also mentioned in connection with each side. This shows a two-fold REDEMPTION, REDEMPTION for the body, and REDEMPTION for the soul.

This teaches that, as many as receive the REDEMPTION of their souls will also receive the REDEMPTION of their bodies.

Romans 8:29 Whom He justified, them He also glorified.

The glorified equal the justified. The number in one neither exceeds nor is less than the number in the other.

Jesus said, John 6:40 This is the will of him that sent me, that EVERY ONE which seeth the Son, and believeth on him, may have everlasting life: and I WILL RAISE HIM UP AT THE LAST DAY.

All will receive glorified bodies that have been justified.

Justification brings about the REDEMPTION of the body to EVERY ONE who receives the REDEMPTION of the soul.

And let me say once more; to be "JUST-IF-IED" is to be just--if--I’d--never sinned in His eyes.

------------------

In Ruth 4:1-10 there is the record of Boaz, the kinsman-redeemer, redeeming the property that was Elimelech’s and Naomi’s, and purchasing Ruth to be his wife.

The name of Boaz occurs TWENTY times in the Book of Ruth.--Boaz redeeming Ruth, is a picture of Christ redeeming the Church.

1st Cor. 6:20 For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God’s.

Col. 1:14 In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins:

-----------

You will remember that Jacob labored in the house hold of Laban for TWENTY years in order to REDEEM Rachel. (Genesis 31:38-41)

--------

In the wilderness all that had been numbered of the twelve tribes of Israel from TWENTY years old and upward were to die in the wilderness because they feared they would be a prey to their enemies, with the exception of Joshua and Caleb.

This shows that the fear of man is many times without foundation.

When God is in a thing man never needs to fear the results. God is greater than all and will fulfill His Word.

Those under TWENTY years of age would go into the land.

Those who walked by faith experienced the REDEMPTION OF THE LORD. (Numbers 14:26-35)

-------------

* Some other thoughts on the number TWENTY:

It is one short of twenty-one, 21 - 1 = 20. Twenty- one is the three-fold of 7. SEVEN signifies spiritual completion and perfection, therefore twenty being one short of 21, in such case would signify expectancy, listen to these illustrations in support of it to do with EXPECTANCY.

Twenty years Jacob waited to get possession of his wives and property, Gen. 21:38-41.

Twenty years Israel waited for a deliverer from Jabin’s oppression,

Judges 4:3 And the children of Israel cried unto the LORD: for he had nine hundred chariots of iron; and twenty years he mightily oppressed the children of Israel.

Twenty years Israel waited for deliverance through Samson,

Judges 15:20 - 16:31

Twenty years the Ark of the Covenant waited at Kirjath-jearim,

1Samuel 7:2 And it came to pass, while the ark abode in Kirjathjearim, that the time was long; for it was twenty years: and all the house of Israel lamented after the LORD.

Twenty years Solomon was waiting for the completion of the two houses,

1 Kings 9:10 And it came to pass at the end of twenty years, when Solomon had built the two houses, the house of the LORD, and the king’s house,--

Also in 2nd Chron. 8:1.
