Choose Life through Jesus.

Ecclesiastes 3:9 What profit hath he that worketh in that wherein he laboureth? 10 I have seen the travail, which God hath given to the sons of men to be exercised in it. 11 He hath made every thing beautiful in his time: also he hath set the world in their heart, so that no man can find out the work that God maketh from the beginning to the end.

I went to see my doctor Tuesday and as Brenda and I got on the elevator at Health Care in Winston Salem there was an elderly lady who we allowed to go before us so, she stood before the elevator control as we entered in. I watched as she looked at the elevator control and she turned to me and smiled because I believe she was going to ask us what floor we were going but Health Care only has 2 floors so, she pushed the button and as the door began to close I said, "If life's choices were that simple we would be a lot better off wouldn't we?" She said, "we sure would." But, the choices we make in life sometimes are not easy and of course we all have made some bad ones.

Solomon wrote the book of Ecclesiastes. God blessed Solomon to be the smartest and the richest man to have ever lived. The Bible says that God blessed him because Solomon ask for wisdom when he became the leader over Gods people so, God added to him riches also.

Solomon had more wisdom and riches than any mortal man who has or will ever live. The book of Ecclesiastes is basically Solomon living outside of Gods will and in chapter 1 and verse 2 Solomon says Ecclesiastes 1:2 Vanity of vanities, saith the Preacher, vanity of vanities; all is vanity. In other words, nothing makes since.

People set goals for themselves and when they achieve those goals there is a moment of great satisfaction but pretty soon the reality of life sets in and back t....vanity of vanities; all is vanity.

What is the meaning of life? How can purpose, fulfillment, and satisfaction be found in life? How can something of lasting significance be achieved? So many people have never stopped to consider these important questions. They look back years later and wonder why they feel so empty, even though they may have achieved what they set out to accomplish.

Have you ever really thought or pondered on what the Bible says Genesis 1:26? And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.

This means that we are more like God than we are like anything else. You can also see that before mankind fell into sin and the curse of sin came upon the earth, the following things were a reality. God gave man work, God had fellowship with man, God gave man dominion over the earth. God intended for each of these to add to our fulfillment in life, but all of these ....especially man's fellowship with God...were affected by man's fall into sin and the resulting curse upon the earth.

In Revelation God reveals that He will destroy this present earth and heavens and create a new heaven and a new earth. At that time, He will restore full fellowship with redeemed mankind, while the unredeemed will have been judged and cast into the lake of fire. Real meaning in life, both now and in eternity, is only found in the restoration of the relationship with God. If you don't have real meaning in your life ask God today to restore that relationship by asking Jesus into your life.

Life only has 2 floors to choose from....life through Jesus and death outside of Him......choose Jesus.
