Minister = Servant

Administration (Song leader, trustees – Cleaning) and Finances (General and Evangelism)
Several ways we Minister:
Luke 8:1-3 These that ministered unto Jesus and the disciples with their substance
Hebrews 6:10 Ye have ministered to the saints and do minister
And: Mark 10:45 Jesus entire life was giving to minister unto others
1. Ministry is facilitated by God
Jesus said: I came to do the will of my Father who sent Me
Col. 4:17 Archippus “Take heed to the ministry which thou hast received in the Lord

Comment: All ministry is ultimately unto God
Matt. 25:44 When have did not this or that unto you Lord

2. Ministry is fueled by Unselfishness
Mark 10:45 But to minister and give His life a ransom for many

The moment I think what’s in it for me it becomes something other than ministry!

3. Ministry is faced with Adversity
See: Matt. 3:13-17, 4:1
Expect the devil to do anything he can to change your mind about serving the Lord!
And: 2 Cor. 6:4-5
Paul had health issues, the disciples were threaten and beaten and many others were killed
1 Cor. 16:9 And there were many adversaries
4. Ministry is the formula for Joy
Hebrews 12:2 Who for the joy set before Him endured the cross
Act 20:24 that I may finish my course with joy…
Joy is the second of the nine graces of the Holy Spirit and is truly brought about when one enters in to a life of service unto God.
5. Ministry is finish upon faithfulness unto death
Jesus said: It is finished

Paul said: I have finished my course
I am to live the rest of my life for Him, that I might live all of life with Him!
