Just think how much more the blood of Christ will purify our consciences from sinful deeds so that we can worship the living God. For by the power of the eternal Spirit, Christ offered himself to God as a perfect sacrifice for our sins.

2 Timothy 4:1 (New Living Translation, Second Edition)

I solemnly urge you in the presence of God and Christ Jesus, who will someday judge the living and the dead when he appears to set up his Kingdom:

B. Barabbas - portrayed the human race, in prison because of rebellion and murder (Romans 6:23, Romans 5:12, Galatians 6:7-8, James 1:15, Luke 23:25)

Galatians 6:7-8 (New Living Translation, Second Edition)

Don’t be misled—you cannot mock the justice of God. You will always harvest what you plant.

Those who live only to satisfy their own sinful nature will harvest decay and death from that sinful nature. But those who live to please the Spirit will harvest everlasting life from the Spirit.

James 1:15 (New Living Translation, Second Edition)

These desires give birth to sinful actions. And when sin is allowed to grow, it gives birth to death.

1 Corinthians 6:9-10 (New Living Translation, Second Edition)

Don’t you realize that those who do wrong will not inherit the Kingdom of God? Don’t fool yourselves. Those who indulge in sexual sin, or who worship idols, or commit adultery, or are male prostitutes, or practice homosexuality,

or are thieves, or greedy people, or drunkards, or are abusive, or cheat people—none of these will inherit the Kingdom of God.
